A productive method is introduced to realize large area color electronic paper (e‐paper) with high UV resistance, heat resistance, and good significant bending properties using a color change triggered by reversible electronic change in the device structure. Reversible coloration and decoloration triggered by electrochemical deposition and desorption, respectively, of an ultra‐thin zinc (Zn) layer on a thin transparent conductive layer coated on anodic nanoporous alumina has been developed. The deposition of the ultra‐thin Zn layer triggers the formation of destructive interference, which leads to coloration. Yellow, magenta, and cyan colors were obtained in the colored state by increasing the NP‐Al2O3 layer thickness, based on Bragg diffraction theory. Reflectance of more than 70% and contrast values of more than 7 were obtained, which are nearly equivalent to those of previous e‐papers. The color images in these devices also showed high UV resistance, heat resistance, and repeated significant bending endurance. The devices can be fabricated with large areas using low‐cost manufacturing processes such as anodic oxidation, and use abundantly available materials. Our proposed device provides low‐cost and flexible large area color e‐paper for outdoor use.  相似文献

The influence of a strong/weak interface ratio on the mechanical properties of Si3N4/BN-based layered composites was studied. The ratio was controlled by the number of BN spots between the adjacent Si3N4 layers. By increasing the BN interface area from 0% to 72%, fracture toughness increased from 7.7 to 10.9 MPa·m1/2, and bending strength decreased from 1275 to 982 MPa. Fracture toughness was improved from 8.6 to 10.1 MPa·m1/2 by additional heat treatment of samples containing 2 vol%β-Si3N4 seed particles. The bending strength of samples with 35% weak BN interfaces, measured perpendicular and parallel to layer alignment, was 1260 and 1240 MPa, respectively. This confirmed the two-directional isotropy of layered samples.  相似文献

To evaluate how the viscosity of the laryngeal mucus influences vocal fold vibration, two fluids of differing viscosity were applied separately to excised canine larynges and experimental phonation was induced. Vibration of the vocal folds was measured by use of a laryngostroboscope and an X-ray stroboscope. With the high viscosity fluid, the amplitude of vibration of the free edge and the peak glottal area was decreased while the open quotient was increased. Because the viscosity of this fluid affected the wave motion of the vocal fold mucosa, changes in viscosity of the mucus may be involved in causing such disorders as hoarseness, in the absence of apparent changes in the vocal folds themselves.  相似文献

A statistical analysis was performed on 40 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue and mouth floor, which could be followed for 6 months or more after initial treatment in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, School of Medicine, Keio University during the 14 years from 1983 to 1996. The 5-year survival rate determined by the Kaplan-Meier method for each stage was 100% for Stage I, 77.8% for Stage II, 60.0% for Stage III and 44.4% for Stage IV. Thirteen suffered a relapse after initial treatment and patients with relapses among them have all survived after the subsequent salvage surgery. In contrast, in nine patients with cervical relapse, however, the 5-year survival rate was 11.1% with an unfavorable prognosis. This confirmed that suppressing cervical relapses is important for treating tongue and floor mouth cancers. The treatment strategy in our department is characteristic of positive enforcement of prophylactic neck dissection in the surgery and introduction of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in the chemotherapy. Prophylactic neck dissection was performed in the 17 patients and no relapse was observed on the side of prophylactic neck dissection. NAC was performed on 26 patients in consideration of suppressed minute metastases and preserved function and 24 determinable cases were statistically analyzed. Among patients who had received NAC, the oral function was successfully preserved without surgical intervention in six patients both patients who showed complete response (CR) and four out of 14 patients who had a partial response (PR) following NAC. This may indicate that the oral function could be preserved in those patients who exhibited CR following NAC, but that preservation could be difficult in patients who exhibited PR. In addition, concerning the accumulated 5-year survival rate in relation to the effect of NAC, responders (CR + PR) accounted for 90.9% and non-responders (no change + progressive disease following NAC) for 15.0% with a very good outcome noted in the responder group. These figures suggest that responders may have a significantly good prognosis in the multivariant analysis including additional background factors before treatment as well. Accordingly, the present therapeutic measures for non-responders must be reexamined and performed more carefully and accurately as compared with those for responders.  相似文献

Direct nitridation of aluminum compacts (relative density 65%)consisting of commercial atomized powder was examined at temperaturesfrom 500 to 700°C, near or below the melting point ofaluminum, and under a pressured nitrogen atmosphere between0.5–7 MPa. Complete nitridation was achieved at a temperature as lowas 540°C by controlling the nitrogen pressure. Thenitridation process and the structures of generated aluminum nitride(AIN) were drastically influenced by nitrogen pressure. Consideringthe relations between the reaction conditions and the reactionprocesses, it is suggested that low nitridation temperature andpre-heating in vacuum have a good effect on the nitridation ratio.  相似文献

Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is known to induce proliferation and differentiation of granulocyte progenitors, and is widely used to treat neutropenia induced by intensive chemotherapy for malignant lymphoma or adult T-cell leukaemia/lymphoma (ATL). G-CSF is thought not to stimulate malignant lymphoid cells. In the present study we examined the ability of G-CSF to induce in vitro growth of primary ATL cells from 14 patients (nine acute-type, two chronic-type and three lymphoma-type), and we analysed the in vivo counts of ATL cells in patients who received G-CSF for neutropenia. FACS analysis using phycoerythrin-labelled recombinant G-CSF demonstrated that ATL cells from 11/14 patients express some G-CSF receptor (G-CSFR), with a range between 5.4% and 87.3%. Cells expressing G-CSFR also expressed CD4. Reverse polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis demonstrated expression of G-CSFR messenger RNA in G-CSFR expressing cells. Leukaemic cells derived from seven (four acute-type, one chronic-type and two lymphoma-type) of the 14 patients proliferated in vitro in response to G-CSF, as measured by [3H]thymidine incorporation; maximum responses were at G-CSF concentrations of 10-100 ng/ml. Nine of 14 patients receiving rG-CSF for neutropenia were analysed retrospectively for ATL cell numbers. Four patients whose primary tumour cells proliferated in response to rG-CSF in vitro showed a significant increase in ATL cell count after administration of rG-CSF (P = 0.038), whereas five patients whose leukaemic cells did not proliferate in vitro showed no significant increase in ATL cell count. G-CSF can stimulate proliferation of ATL cells which may complicate therapy for this disease.  相似文献

Removal of cadmium and lead from soil using aescin as a biosurfactant   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Remediation of a soil contaminated with cadmium or lead was performed by a soil washing process using aescin as a biosurfactant. The removal of cadmium and lead from the soil was evaluated as a function of aescin concentration and pH in a batch process. A 30-mM aescin solution was most effective in the removal of cadmium and lead at pH 6.8. Cadmium and lead migrated from the soil to the aescin-containing aqueous phase, depending on the pH value. We found that 41% of cadmium (pH 7.8) and 25% of lead (pH 2.8) in the soil matrix migrated into a 30-mM aescin solution. Also, the complexation of aescin with cadmium and lead ions was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and electrical conductivity measurements. As a result, the maximal complexation capacity of aescin with metal ions was approximately aescin/cadmium=2∶1 and aescin/lead=3∶1 on a molar basis. It was suggested that aescin may sequester cadmium and lead ions by the carboxylic and saccharide moieties. Then, the complex of aescin with cadmium or lead may migrate to the aqueous phase as the result of dispersion.  相似文献

Millimeter-wave (mmWave) is highly focused as a powerful mean enabling to perform very high data transmission. This paper proposes the enhancement of media access control (MAC) for the mmWave WPAN. The existing MACs have limits to achieve high data transmission over 1–2 Gbps by reasons of the low frame transmission efficiency and the high overhead of signal exchanges. In addition, the transmitting frames need to be protected in a poor channel condition for the high quality of service. The proposed MAC provides frame aggregation with unequal error protection (UEP) and block acknowledgment (Blk-ACK), which can solve the problems of the existing MACs and guarantee the high quality of service. Our theoretical throughput analysis shows that the proposed MAC does the high throughput enhancement compared to the existing MACs and achieves the MAC throughput over 2Gbps in the mmWave WPAN.  相似文献

This article presents a new method to represent the design and construction process in a systematic way and to develop a support system of management for concurrent engineering. We define activities included in the total process of a standard project, make an adjacency matrix about the relationship among activities, and structure the activities with a reachability matrix. As a result, the process consisting of several complicated interactions among activities was found. These interactions can be classified into three patterns. We constructed a new process model by dividing the information flow into nine categories. Moreover, the effectiveness of the model as a tool for concurrent engineering is discussed from four points of view, and the rellationship between concurrent engineering and project objectives is analyzed. This article shows the results matrix calculation first and then describes its contribution to concurrent engineering.  相似文献

Unlike previously reported cases with total protein 4.2 deficiency due to mutations in the EPB42 gene, we describe a total deficiency in protein 4.2 with normal EPB42 alleles. Hereditary spherocytosis (HS) was observed in a Japanese woman (unsplenectomized) and her daughter (splenectomized). The mother showed a partial deficiency in band 3 and a proportional reduction in protein 4.2. She was heterozygous for a novel allele of the EPB3 gene, allele Okinawa, which contains the two mutations that define the Memphis II polymorphism (K56E, AAG-->GAG, and P854L, CCG-->CTG) and, additionally, the mutation: G714R, GGG-->AGG, located in a highly conserved position of transmembrane segment 9. The latter change was responsible for HS. In trans to allele Okinawa, the daughter displayed allele Fukuoka: G130R, GGA-->AGA, an allele known to alter the binding of protein 4.2 to band 3. The daughter presented with a more pronounced decrease of band 3, and lacked protein 4.2, resulting in aggravated haemolytic features. Although the father was not available for study, heterozygosity for allele Fukuoka has been documented in another individual who showed no clinical or haematological signs, and a normal content of band 3. We suggest that band 3 Okinawa binds virtually all the protein 4.2 in red cell precursors, band 3 Fukuoka being unable to do so, and that the impossibility of band 3 Okinawa incorporation into the membrane leads to degradation of the band 3 Okinawa protein 4.2 complex. In contrast, band 3 Fukuoka, free of bound protein 4.2, could then incorporate normally into the bilayer. Thus, protein 4.2 would not appear in the daughter's red cell membrane.  相似文献
