This research builds on prior work on developing near optimal solutions to the product line design problems within the conjoint analysis framework. In this research, we investigate and compare different genetic algorithm operators; in particular, we examine systematically the impact of employing alternative population maintenance strategies and mutation techniques within our problem context. Two alternative population maintenance methods, that we term “Emigration” and “Malthusian” strategies, are deployed to govern how individual product lines in one generation are carried over to the next generation. We also allow for two different types of reproduction methods termed “Equal Opportunity” in which the parents to be paired for mating are selected with equal opportunity and a second based on always choosing the best string in the current generation as one of the parents which is referred to as the “Queen bee”, while the other parent is randomly selected from the set of parent strings. We also look at the impact of integrating the artificial intelligence approach with a traditional optimization approach by seeding the GA with solutions obtained from a Dynamic Programming heuristic proposed by others. A detailed statistical analysis is also carried out to determine the impact of various problem and technique aspects on multiple measures of performance through means of a Monte Carlo simulation study. Our results indicate that such proposed procedures are able to provide multiple “good” solutions. This provides more flexibility for the decision makers as they now have the opportunity to select from a number of very good product lines. The results obtained using our approaches are encouraging, with statistically significant improvements averaging 5% or more, when compared to the traditional benchmark of the heuristic dynamic programming technique. 相似文献

Authentication is important to the security of user data in a mobile cloud environment. Because of the server’s user credentials, it is subject to attacks. To maintain data authentication, a novel authentication mechanism is proposed. It consists of three independent phases: Registration, login, and authentication and key agreement. The user registers with the Registration Center (RC) by producing a secret number that isn’t stored in the phone, which protects against privileged insider attacks. The user and server generate a nonce for dynamic user identity and agree on a session secret key for safe communication. The passwords are not stored on the computer or provided in plain text, they are resistant to replay, guessing, and stolen verification attacks. The suggested protocol uses a one-way hash function and XOR operations, with the client having remote access to a large number of servers over a secure communication channel. Concentrates on HMAC and SHA3 for Collision Free Hashing and to overcome length extension attacks. HMACs are substantially less affected by collisions than their underlying hashing algorithms alone. So adding an HMAC to an MD5 or SHA hash would make it substantially more difficult to break via a rainbow table. 相似文献

This paper analyses the potential roles of computerized systems in supporting the decision-making process. Toward this end, we propose an expository process model of decision-making and develop a framework that provides the infrastructure for the analysis. The proposed process model draws on two well-known models in the literature and enumerates eight distinct phases in decision-making. The framework developed is based on an integration of this process model with Simon's notion of 'decision-structuredness'. Unlike any of the existing frameworks, the suggested framework permits a micro-level analysis of support system roles. As computing components get smaller and people become accustomed to having computational power at their disposal at any time, mobile computing is developing as an important research area. One of the fundamental problems in mobility is maintaining connectivity through message passing as the user moves through the network. An approach to this is to have a single home node constantly track the current location of the mobile unit and forward messages to this location. One problem with this approach is that, during the update to the home agent after movement, messages are often dropped, especially in the case of frequent movement. In this paper, we present a new algorithm which uses a home agent, but maintains information regarding a subnet within which the mobile unit must be present. We also present a reliable message delivery algorithm which is superimposed on the region maintenance algorithm. Our strategy is based on ideas from diffusing computations as first proposed by Dijkstra and Scholten. Other than temperature and voltage, load plays a key role in anodic bonding process. In this paper we present a new design of top electrode (cathode) for anodic bonding machine by which the bonding time has been reduced up to 30 % in case of bare silicon wafer at ?400 V and approximate 52 % in case of oxidized silicon wafer with Pyrex glass bonding at ?800 V. Experimentally it has been observed there was no bonding in oxidized silicon wafer with Pyrex glass up to ?600 V by using standard design while it has been successfully bonded at same voltage (?600 V) by using new design. 相似文献

The nonstationary evolution of the strain filter due to lateral and elevational motion of the tissue scatterers across the ultrasound beam is analyzed for the 1-D cross-correlation-based strain estimator. The effective correlation coefficient that includes the contributions due to lateral and elevational signal decorrelation is used to derate the upper bound of the signal-to-noise ratio in the elastogram (SNRe) predicted by the ideal strain filter. In the case of an elastically homogeneous target, if the transducer is on the axis of symmetry of such target in the elevational direction, the motion of the scatterers out the imaging plane is minimized. In addition, the ultrasound beam along the elevational direction is broader, allowing scatterers to stay longer within the beam during tissue compression. Under these conditions, lateral signal decorrelation becomes the primary contributor to the nonstationary behavior of the strain filter. Both the elastographic SNRe and the dynamic range are reduced, with an increase in lateral decorrelation. Finite element simulations and phantom experiments are presented in this paper to corroborate the theoretical strain filter. The nonstationary behavior of the strain filter is reduced by confining the tissue in the lateral direction (minimizing motion of tissue scatterers), thereby improving the quality of the elastogram. 相似文献

The technological development of the 3D printing industry has been tremendous starting from stereolithography in the 1980 s. Low throughput and surface quality had been the major obstacles to this technology, which offers very limited constraints to the geometrical shapes. In this work, we designed a low-cost volumetric 3D printer that, unlike traditional 3D printers, polymerizes the whole geometry within the revolving resin container. Optimized projections needed for the polymerization of target objects were developed in MATLAB R2020b using the concepts of tomographic reconstruction. The rotation of the resin container and the projections rate were matched to develop the target geometries after the oxygen depletion. Commercially available low viscous Anycubic plant-based resins were used as the printing material. 3D objects of centimeter scale could be manufactured in 30 seconds with extremely low surface roughness in the sub-micron range. The dimensional deviation of final components from the CAD model was found to be within 5%. The over-printing on existing solid structures was successfully experimented with and thus opens the way for future developments. Commercialization of volumetric 3D printers would result in mass production of complex customer-specific functional components which in turn boosts the manufacturing sector significantly. 相似文献

In this study, the authors investigated antimicrobial activity of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) synthesised by sol–gel method. As synthesised TiO2 NPs were characterised by X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and ultraviolet‐visible absorption spectroscopy. The antimicrobial activity of calcined TiO2 nanoparticle samples was examined in day light on Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumonia and Bacillus subtilis), Gram negative bacteria (Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli) and fungal test pathogen Candida albicans.
