This article presents an approach to enhance the Hooke-Jeeves optimization algorithm through the use of fuzzy logic. The Hooke-Jeeves algorithm, similar to many other optimization algorithms, uses predetermined fixed parameters. These parameters do not depend on the objective function values in the current search region. In the proposed algorithm, several fuzzy logic controllers are integrated at the various stages of the algorithm to create a new optimization algorithm: Fuzzy-Controlled Hooke-Jeeves algorithm. The results of this work show that incorporating fuzzy logic in the Hooke-Jeeves algorithm can improve the ability of the algorithm to reach an extremum in different typical optimization test cases and design problems. Sensitivity analysis of the variables of the algorithm is also considered. 相似文献

Thermal instability in a horizontal layer of fluid, with the boundary temperatures modulated sinusoidally in time, is studied.
The amplitude of modulation is assumed small and is used as an expansion parameter. It is shown that an exact solution can
be obtained, even when the boundaries are considered to be rigid. When only the lower boundary temperature is modulated, for
small values of the Prandtl number modulation is always stabilizing, while for large values it can be stabilizing or destabilizing
depending on the modulation frequency. When both boundary temperatures are modulated in phase, modulation is destabilizing
for low modulation frequency, but for higher modulation frequency stabilization occurs for low values of the Prandtl number.
When the two boundary temperatures are modulated out of phase the modulation always has a stabilizing effect. 相似文献

This paper critically reviews existing energy demand forecasting methodologies highlighting the methodological diversities and developments over the past four decades in order to investigate whether the existing energy demand models are appropriate for capturing the specific features of developing countries. The study finds that two types of approaches, econometric and end-use accounting, are commonly used in the existing energy demand models. Although energy demand models have greatly evolved since the early seventies, key issues such as the poor–rich and urban–rural divides, traditional energy resources and differentiation between commercial and non-commercial energy commodities are often poorly reflected in these models. While the end-use energy accounting models with detailed sectoral representations produce more realistic projections as compared to the econometric models, they still suffer from huge data deficiencies especially in developing countries. Development and maintenance of more detailed energy databases, further development of models to better reflect developing country context and institutionalizing the modelling capacity in developing countries are the key requirements for energy demand modelling to deliver richer and more reliable input to policy formulation in developing countries. 相似文献

This paper deals with waveform analysis, crosstalk peak and delay estimation of CMOS gate driven capacitively and inductively coupled interconnects. Simultaneously switching inputs for the coupled interconnects are considered. A transmission line-based coupled model of interconnect is used for analysis. Alpha-power Law model of MOS transistor is used to represent the transistors in CMOS driver. Peaks and delays at far-end of victim line are estimated for conditions when the inputs to the two coupled interconnects are switching in-phase and out-of-phase. The comparison of analytically obtained results with SPICE simulations show that the proposed model captures noise peak and their timing; 90% propagation delay; transition time delay and waveform shape with good accuracy, such as not more than 5% error in crosstalk peak estimation. 相似文献

by the presence of the residual stresses in B4C/B4C–ZrB2 laminates, no differences in Vickers crack lengths were observed in B4C/B4C laminates prepared by rolling and hot pressing, as compared to the crack lengths seen in pure B4C ceramics prepared by hot pressing without rolling. The thermal behaviors of cellulose acetate, either grafted or ungrafted, were studied. A thermogram of cellulose acetate when grafted with acrylamide is characterized by an endothermic peak at 340°C. If, however, styrene is grafted, the thermogram shows two characteristic exothermic peaks at 330 and 420°C. A thermogram of the mixed graft comprising both acrylamide and styrene, on the other hand, is characterized by only one exothermic peak at 420°C. A consideration of various thermal data indicates that cellulose acetate when grafted is comparatively more stable than when not grafted. Abstract Ex-situ grown thin films of SrBi2Nb2O9 (SBN) were deposited on platinum substrates using laser ablation technique. A low substrate-temperature-processing route was chosen to avoid any diffusion of bismuth into the Pt electrode. It was observed that the as grown films showed an oriented growth along the ′c′-axis (with zero spontaneous polarization). The as grown films were subsequently annealed to enhance crystallization. Upon annealing, these films transformed into a polycrystalline structure, and exhibited excellent ferroelectric properties. The switching was made to be possible by lowering the thickness without losing the electrically insulating behavior of the films. The hysteresis results showed an excellent square-shaped loop with results (Pr = 4 uC/cm2; Ec = 90 kV/cm) in good agreement with the earlier reports. The films also exhibited a dielectric constant of 190 and a dissipation factor of 0.02, which showed dispersion at low frequencies. The frequency dispersion was found to obey Jonscher's universal power law relation, and was attributed to the ionic charge hopping process according to earlier reports. The dc transport studies indicated an ohmic behavior in the low voltage region, while higher voltages induced a bulk space charge and resulted in non-linear current-voltage dependence. 相似文献

Video coding technology in the last 20 years has evolved producing a variety of different and complex algorithms and coding
standards. So far the specification of such standards, and of the algorithms that build them, has been done case by case providing
monolithic textual and reference software specifications in different forms and programming languages. However, very little
attention has been given to provide a specification formalism that explicitly presents common components between standards,
and the incremental modifications of such monolithic standards. The MPEG Reconfigurable Video Coding (RVC) framework is a
new ISO standard currently under its final stage of standardization, aiming at providing video codec specifications at the
level of library components instead of monolithic algorithms. The new concept is to be able to specify a decoder of an existing
standard or a completely new configuration that may better satisfy application-specific constraints by selecting standard
components from a library of standard coding algorithms. The possibility of dynamic configuration and reconfiguration of codecs
also requires new methodologies and new tools for describing the new bitstream syntaxes and the parsers of such new codecs.
The RVC framework is based on the usage of a new actor/ dataflow oriented language called CAL for the specification of the standard library and instantiation of the RVC decoder model. This language has been specifically
designed for modeling complex signal processing systems. CAL dataflow models expose the intrinsic concurrency of the algorithms by employing the notions of actor programming and dataflow.
The paper gives an overview of the concepts and technologies building the standard RVC framework and the non standard tools

Aluminophosphate zeolite is an artificial material which shows strange hydrophilicity. We have been investigating the reason by quantum mechanics, and found that the hydrophilicity of this zeolite depended on the local geometric deformation, and speculated that the site-specific hydrophilicity might be explained by differences in the stiffness of the local deformation determined by the location with the pore structure. In order to test these ideas, we construct a reliable force field based on the new MS-Q approach developed by Demiralp, Cagin, and Goddard. Our force field well reproduces the experimental structure of VPI-5. 相似文献
