This study aims to investigate how the predeposition machining processes such as magnetic grinding, turning machining, and wire electrical discharge machining can influence the surface properties including electrochemical and tribological behavior of TiCrN nanostructured coating applied on Mo40 steel substrate. A physical vapor deposition technique using cathodic arc evaporation was used to apply the coating. The crystallographic phases and the microstructure of the coating were studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope, respectively. Rockwell-C, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization, and pin-on-disk wear tests were employed to evaluate the adhesion strength, corrosion behavior, and tribological property of specimens, respectively. The electrochemical results after 24 h of exposure to 3.5 wt% NaCl solution showed that TiCrN coating pretreated with a turning process with polarization resistance of about 3525.32 Ω.cm2 had the best corrosion resistance among all specimens. This was because of the improvement of the smoothness, surface quality, and adhesion after the turning process. On the other, the friction coefficient of the grounded sample is less than that of other ones. This is probably due to its higher adhesion strength and higher surface smoothness.  相似文献

Carbohydrate-based vinyl acetals (5-hex-enopyranosides) undergo reductive rearrangement with triisobutylaluminum (TIBAL) to afford highly functionalized cyclohexanes in which both the aglycon and anomeric stereochemistry are retained. Here, we report the first application of this process to the rearrangement of hex-5-enopyranosides of sucrose in which the interglycosidic oxygen atom of the vinyl acetal system links the anomeric centers of both monosaccharide units. The sucrose-derived 5-hex-enopyranoside 1 undergoes smooth reductive rearrangement with TIBAL to afford the (1 → 2′) ether-linked pseudo-disaccharide 2 in 34% yield. The rearrangement is accompanied by some loss of stereochemical integrity at C-2′ due to a competitive exo-cleavage of the interglycosidic (O-C2′) bond, hence diastereomers at C-2′ are also obtained in 12% yield. The 4-O-allyl-protected sucrose-5-ene 3 is similarly transformed into the corresponding (1 → 2′) ether-linked pseudo-disaccharide 4 , illustrating the compatibility of the allyl group with the TIBAL reaction conditions.   相似文献

Conventional and gradient CoNiCrAlYSi coatings were produced by using low vacuum plasma spray and an additional step of diffusional over aluminizing (pack cementation) techniques on an Inconel-738 substrate. Hot corrosion of these coatings was investigated using Na2SO4–20wt%NaVO3 molten salt at 880?°C for 800?h. Hot corrosion rate was determined by measuring the weight gain of the specimens at regular intervals for a duration of 20?h. X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy and electron probe micro analysis techniques were used to determine the nature of phases, investigation of the thermally grown oxide, examination of the surface attack and determination of the elemental distribution. The gradient coating showed better performance by re-healing alumina scale due to its possession of more β phase as Al reservoir. Results indicated that pack cementation process caused an increase in amount of aluminum-rich β phase and better hot corrosion properties of gradient coatings owing to the Al enrichment in the outer layer and rapid formation of protective oxide on the surface.  相似文献

The techno-economic evaluation of four novel integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plants fuelled with low rank lignite coal with CO2 capture facility has been investigated using ECLIPSE process simulator. The performance of the proposed plants was compared with two conventional IGCC plants with and without CO2 capture. The proposed plants include an advanced CO2 capturing process based on the Absorption Enhanced Reforming (AER) reaction and the regeneration of sorbent materials avoiding the need for sulphur removal component, shift reactor and/or a high temperature gas cleaning process. The results show that the proposed CO2 capture plants efficiencies were 18.5–21% higher than the conventional IGCC CO2 capture plant. For the proposed plants, the CO2 capture efficiencies were found to be within 95.8–97%. The CO2 capture efficiency for the conventional IGCC plant was 87.7%. The specific investment costs for the proposed plants were between 1207 and 1479 €/kWe and 1620 €/kWe and 1134 €/kWe for the conventional plants with and without CO2 capture respectively. Overall the proposed IGCC plants are cleaner, more efficient and produce electricity at cheaper price than the conventional IGCC process.  相似文献

An index Xη?1 with numerator calculated solely from solubility parameters and denominator measured by on‐line viscosity of the fiber precursor in coagulation medium was defined as an indicator of the fiber structure and tensile properties. The Xη?1 values of wet‐spun and wound polyacrylonitrile fibers from their dimethylformamide solutions with different polymer concentrations (series A) or nonsolvent concentrations in 10 vol % polymer solutions (series B) into water with draw ratio of one were determined and compared with the corresponding fiber structure and tensile properties. The Xη?1 value of about 0.8 × 106 s?1 led to finger‐like structure with overall fiber porosity of 82 vol %. By reducing Xη?1 through dope polymer concentration enhancement to 20 vol %, overall fiber porosity decreased to 62 vol % via substitution of some micrometer voids with dense polymer ligament. Accordingly, strong fiber modulus and elongation at break enhancement were observed due to structural defect reduction and cohesive energy density increment. On the other hand, dope nonsolvent concentration increment from 0 to 5 vol % at 10 vol % polymer concentration showed minute overall fiber porosity decrement via Xη?1 increment through micrometer void substitution with nanometer ones (nuclei). Therefore, mild fiber modulus and elongation at break improvements were detected due to defect size reduction which magnifies mechanical properties improvements. Curve fitting of the Wang's second order modulus‐porosity correlation to the as‐spun fibers modulus‐porosity data verified the solid–liquid phase separation through nuclei growth‐resistance as the main governing morphological evolution mechanism. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this work, the transport properties of gaseous penetrant through several dense glassy polymeric membranes are studied. The nonequilibrium lattice fluid (NELF) in conjunction with the modified Fick's law and dual mode sorption model was used to simulate the gas transport in glassy polymeric membranes. The approach is based on the sorption, diffusion, in which solubility is calculated based on the NELF model, and diffusion coefficient is obtained from the product thermodynamic coefficient and molecular mobility. The governing equation is solved by the finite element method using COMSOL multi-physics software. The developed model for gas permeability of glassy polymeric membrane can be applied in a wide range of pressure and temperature. The comparison of the calculated permeability and solubility of gasses with the experimental data represented the ability of the developed model. Increasing feed gas temperature increases the gas permeability, while this variation leads to lower gas solubility in the glassy polymeric membranes. The effect of feed temperature and pressure on permeability and solubility is investigated, and the experimental data from literature are described by the developed model. A good prediction of the experimental data can be observed over the considered condition.  相似文献

The effects of gum tragacanth obtained from two species of Astragalus Gossypinus (GT-G) and A. Parrowianus (GT-P) at two levels of 10% and 30% combined with cellulose nanofibers (CNF; 5%) on the physico-mechanical and structural properties of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanocomposite film were investigated in this study. The water solubility and water vapor permeability of the films decreased with increasing the content of both gums, especially in the film containing 30% GT-P. The highest values of the tensile strength (39.3 MPa) and elongation at break (445%) belonged to the treatment containing 10% GT-P (90/10P/0). The FTIR and DSC analyses confirmed good interactions between GT and PVA in the 90/10P/0 treatment. SEM images indicated the dense structure of this film as the optimum treatment. Although the presence of CNF in the films containing GT-G improved some properties, especially the Young modulus, it impaired all the functional properties of nanocomposite GT-P film.  相似文献

A simple, fast, and reliable liquid–liquid micro-extraction (LLME) method assisted by thermal ultrasound approach was developed for simultaneous determination of synthetic phenolic antioxidants (SPAs) in edible oils by high-performance liquid chromatography equipped with ultraviolet detector (HPLC-UV). The synthetic antioxidants were propyl gallate (PG), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), and butylated hydroxyltoluene (BHT). The best extraction conditions were observed were methanol/acetonitrile (1:1, v/v) as the solvent, ultrasound at 4 min, and a temperature of 40°C. The linearity of the calibration curves for the optimum conditions were R2 > 0.989 for all of the SPAs in a range from 1–200 μg ml−1. Relative standard deviation (RSD %) for five analysis was in range of 2.83% to 4.21%. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were obtained in range of 0.012–0.06 and 0.04–0.2 μg g−1, respectively. With regard to recovery, a range of 91%–116% was calculated for the spiked edible oils.  相似文献
