Predicting remaining useful life (RUL) is crucial for system maintenance. Condition monitoring makes not only degradation data available for RUL estimation but also categorized health status data for health state identification. However, RUL prediction has been treated as an independent process in most cases even though potential relevance exists with health status detection process. In this paper, we propose a convolution neural network based multi-task learning method to reflect the relatedness of RUL estimation with health status detection process. The proposed method applied to the C-MAPSS dataset for aero-engine unit prognostics supported superior performances to existing baseline models.
In this work, the Model Algorithmic Control (MAC) method is applied to control the grade change operations in paper mills.
The neural network model for the grade change operations is identified first and the impulse model is extracted from the neural
network model. Results of simulations for MAC control of grade change operations are compared with plant operation data. The
major contribution of the present work is the application of MAC in the industrial plants based on the identification of neural
network models. We can confirm that the proposed MAC method exhibits faster responses and less oscillatory behavior compared

To provide context-based personalized services utilizing smart appliances in a smart home environment, we propose a framework for PersonAlized Service disCovery Using FuZZY-based CBR and Context Ontology (PASCUZZY). Basically, the PASCUZZY framework is implemented on case-based context ontology. To generate and manage the case instances on the case-based context ontology, we adopt the fuzzy set theory to transpose numerical-type context data sensed from the surrounding environment. The context is transposed to linguistic-type context instances on the context ontology. In addition, to formalize and manage the context and services as multi-attributed data, the context ontology was developed reflecting the structure of cases borrowed from case-based reasoning. Furthermore, we propose adaptation methods to adjust the generic fuzzy membership functions depending on the inhabitants’ context. It is performed by modifying the values of the membership number and/or modifying the numbers of the linguistic terms that are based on the inhabitants’ context to affect the membership numbers. The adapted membership functions return the personalized degree of memberships depending on the specialized context of a specific fuzzy variable. Inevitably, the number of cases on the case-based context ontology will be increased from time to time. We apply Ward’s method not only to reduce the search effort via a hierarchical clustering on the case-based context ontology but also to find the most similar service as a solution to the new context. To verify the superiority of the PASCUZZY framework, we perform two kinds of evaluations. First, we evaluate the effectiveness of the adaptation of the fuzzy membership functions. Second, we verify the effectiveness of the application of a clustering method to the case instances of the case-based context ontology to identify the most similar service. Polyimide containing triphenylamine derivative (TPD-PI) was synthesized to prepare a polymer interlayer having insolubility in common nonpolar solvent for light-emitting polymers. N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis(4-aminophenyl)-1,1-biphenyl-4,4′-diamine, as a new triphenylamine-containing diamine monomer, was synthesized by the palladium-catalyzed amination reaction between 4-nitrodiphenylamine and 4,4′-dibromobiphenyl and subsequent reduction of the nitro-intermediate. The TPD-PI was prepared from the synthesized diamine monomer and 4,4′-(hexafluoropropylidene)-diphthalic anhydride by the standard two-step polymerization method, which involved ring-opening polymerization and subsequent cyclodehydration. The structures and properties of the monomer and the resulting polyimide were characterized with 1H and 13C NMR, elemental analysis, gel permeation chromatography, UV-visible spectroscopy, etc. The TPD-PI is readily soluble in aprotic polar solvents such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone and N,N-dimethylformamide and insoluble in nonpolar solvents such as toluene and xylene. The highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level of the TPD-PI was measured to be 5.5 eV by a photoelectron spectrometer in air, and the band gap was calculated as 3.1 eV from the onset of UV-vis spectrum. The polymer light-emitting diode with the thin TPD-PI layer between a hole injection layer and an emitting polymer layer was fabricated to examine the performance of the polyimide as an polymer interlayer. Although the luminous efficiency of the device is lowered by the introduction of the TPD-PI interlayer, the lifetime of the device is improved. 相似文献
The interfacial tensions of immiscible binary blends of poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) and polybutadiene (PBD) have been determined as a function of molecular weight and temperature. The technique employed for these measurements takes advantage of recent advances in the determination and analysis of pendant fluid drop profiles. The experimental data are compared to the predictions of square gradient theories and theories based on the diffusion equation approach as developed by Helfand and co-workers. Qualitative agreement is obtained with both types of theory when the Flory-Huggins interaction parameter is taken to be comprised of two terms: a temperature independent term of entropic origin; and an enthalpic term that is inversely dependent upon the temperature. 相似文献
This work investigates the stabilizing impact of MnO on the leaching behavior of hazardous Cr-containing CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-Cr2O3-MnO stainless steel slags after equilibrating at various elevated temperatures and evaluates the potential immobilization of Cr into a MnCr2O4 spinel phase from the existing Cr2O3 phase. The MnCr2O4 spinel phase was found to be an excellent Cr-stabilizer in stainless steel slags, where the leaching tendency of potentially hazardous Cr-related ions decreased with higher MnO content and lower equilibration temperatures within the range of 0 to 15 mass pct. and 1500 to 1300°C, respectively. Thermodynamic calculations by conducting the phase stability diagram also showed that the MnCr2O4 spinel phase was relatively stable and the Ca3Si2O7 (Ca3-xMnxSi2O7) phase was relatively unstable compared with other crystal phases in acid extractant with pH value of 3.2. Combined with the scanning electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction results along with the thermodynamic calculations, the leached Cr-related ions was predominantly originating from the unstable amorphous glass phase. 相似文献
Thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), consisting of physical vapor deposited (PVD) partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ, 8 wt.%Y2O3) and a diffusion aluminide bond coat, were characterized as a function of time after oxidative isothermal heat treatment
at 1373 K in air. The experimental characterizations was conducted by X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy
(SEM) with energy-dispersive spectroscopy. During cooling to room temperature, spallation of the PSZ ceramic coatings occurred
after 200 and 350 h of isothermal heat treatment. This failure was always sudden and violent, with the TBC popping from the
substrate. The monoclinic phase of zirconia was first observed on the bottom surface of the PVD PSZ after 200 h of isothermal
heat treatment. The failure of TBCs occurred either in the bond coat oxidation products of αAl2O3 and rutile TiO2 or at the interface between the oxidation products and the diffusion aluminide bond coat or the PSZ coating. 相似文献
This paper describes a concerted effort to design and implement a robotic service framework. The proposed framework is comprised of three conceptual spaces: physical, semantic, and virtual spaces, collectively referred to as a ubiquitous robotic space. We implemented a prototype robotic security application in an office environment, which confirmed that the proposed framework is an efficient tool for developing a robotic service employing IT infrastructure, particularly for integrating heterogeneous technologies and robotic platforms. 相似文献
Uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become a vital element in nonterrestrial networks, especially with respect to 5G communication systems and beyond. The use of UAVs in support of 4G/5G base station (uncrewed aerial vehicle base station [UAV-BS]) has proven to be a practical solution for extending cellular network services to areas where conventional infrastructures are unavailable. In this study, we introduce a UAV-BS system that utilizes a high-capacity wireless backhaul operating in millimeter-wave frequency bands. This system can achieve a maximum throughput of 1.3 Gbps while delivering data at a rate of 300 Mbps, even at distances of 10 km.
