In this paper, a robust stable fuzzy control design based on feedback linearization is presented. Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model is used as representing the nonlinear plant model and uncertainty is assumed to be included in the model structure with known bounds. For this structured uncertainty, the closed system can be analyzed by applying the perturbation system stability analysis to the fuzzy feedback linearization systems and a sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system with bounded parameter uncertainties. Based on the developed analysis method, we can design a robust fuzzy controller by choosing the control parameters satisfying the robust stability condition. 相似文献

We propose and demonstrate electrostatic sidewall-electrodes actuation of three-dimensional (3-D) microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) gimbal mirrors. The linearity of the mirror angle dependence on actuation voltage is improved with the sidewall-electrodes actuation. In addition, the undesired spring-softening effect commonly found in electrostatic actuation, where the mirror resonance frequency decreases with increased tilt angle, is significantly reduced. Sidewall actuation enables superior performance of 3-D MEMS mirrors including large pull-in angles, reduced actuation voltages, improved device reliability, and fast switching times. 相似文献

This paper deals with an automated computer-aided process planning and die design system by which the designer can determine
operation sequences even if they have little experience in process planning and die design for axisymmetric products. An attempt
is made to link programs incorporating a number of expert design rules with the process variables obtained by commercial FEM
softwares, DEFORM and ANSYS, to form a useful package. The system is composed of four main modules. The process planning and
the die design modules consider several factors, such as the complexities of preform geometry, punch and die profiles, specifications
of available multi-former, and the availability of standard parts. They can provide a flexible process based on either the
reduction in the number of forming sequences by combining the possible two processes in sequence, or the reduction of deviation
of the distribution on the level of the required forming loads by controlling the forming ratios. In the die design module
optimal design technique and the horizontal split of the die insert were investigated for determining appropriate dimensions
of components of the multi-former die set. It is suggested that the proposed method can be beneficial for improving the tool

Parametric modeling technology is difficult to apply to freeform mesh models since there is no efficient way to impose geometric
constraints. In this paper, we propose a novel method to control freeform mesh models parametrically. Our approach is to construct
a control mesh that surrounds an object model and then impose constraints on it. The control mesh is parametrically controlled
and the shape of the object model is modified by using an existing freeform deformation method.
This paper is mainly concerned with automated construction of a control mesh and treatment of geometric constraints. Procedures
for creating a control mesh are as follows: 1) determine the optimal orientation of the model, 2) project the model along
three axes and extract contours, 3) create 2D control polygons for the contours, and 4) construct the 3D control mesh from
the 2D control polygons. Geometric constraints are imposed on the edges and faces of a control mesh. Types of constraints
are given by either a relative relationship between elements or an absolute displacement. A new control mesh is calculated

The Leader–Member Exchange (LMX) relationship quality between superiors and subordinates in Korean civil engineering companies were empirically examined for superiors’ feedback-seeking behaviors. The results showed that for superiors, affect, loyalty, and contribution toward subordinates were positively related to seeking negative as well as positive feedback from subordinates. From subordinates’ point of view, affect, contribution, and professional respect toward their superiors were positively related to superiors’ negative feedback seeking, but affect was negatively related to superiors’ positive feedback seeking. It was also found that superiors and subordinates were not consensual in LMX and superiors’ feedback-seeking behaviors. For example, for superiors, all of the four LMX dimensions were positively related to superiors’ asking subordinates directly for feedback, whereas for subordinates, none of the LMX dimensions were significantly related to superiors’ asking subordinates directly for feedback. These and other findings are discussed in detail, and implications for the findings are provided. 相似文献

This study evaluated the ability of a slip feed system to maintain the pollutant-degrading activity of biomass in a vapor phase bioreactor during periods of little or no contaminant feed. Three slip feed fractions (1, 5, and 9% by mass) were investigated in a bioreactor treating toluene-contaminated air. Results indicate that the slip feed system improved the contaminant degradation capacity in the carbon-deprived bioreactor zones by approximately 30% regardless of the slip feed fraction supplied. This yielded a 10–20% improvement in toluene removal efficiency when the entire bioreactor column was subjected to a sudden threefold spike in toluene loading. When a 12% slip feed was supplied to the bioreactor during a short-term (3 days) or longer-term (1 week) shutdown period, it reduced the reacclimation time required following restart by as much as 70%. These results indicate that as long as the biomass receives at least a trace of the pollutant by means of a slip feed system, it can maintain sufficient pollutant degrading capacity to respond quickly to pollutant loadings upon restart. 相似文献

Orbital fibroblasts (OFs) in thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) are differentiated from pre-adipocytes and mature adipocytes; increased lipid and fat expansion are the major characteristics of ophthalmic manifestations. Human placental mesenchymal stem cells (hPMSCs) were reported to immunomodulate pathogenesis and suppress adipogenesis in TAO OFs. Here, we prepared transforming growth factor β (TGFβ, 20 ng/mL)-treated hPMSCs (TGFβ-hPMSCs) in order to enhance anti-adipogenic effects in vitro and in TAO mice. TAO OFs were grown in a differentiation medium and then co-cultured with hPMSCs or TGFβ-hPMSCs. TAO OFs were analyzed via quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, Oil red O staining, and western blotting. The results showed that TGFβ-hPMSCs reduced the expression of adipogenic, lipogenic, and fibrotic genes better than hPMSCs in TAO OFs. Moreover, the adipose area decreased more in TAO mice injected with TGFβ-hPMSCs compared to those injected with hPMSCs or a steroid. Further, TGFβ-hPMSCs inhibited inflammation as effectively as a steroid. In conclusion, TGFβ-hPMSCs suppressed adipogenesis and lipogenesis in vitro and in TAO mice, and the effects were mediated by the SMAD 2/3 pathways. Furthermore, TGFβ-hPMSCs exhibited anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic functions, which suggests that they could be a new and safe method to promote the anti-adipogenic function of hPMSCs to treat TAO patients. 相似文献

Despite advances in medicine, mortality due to sepsis has not decreased. Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is emerging as an alternative treatment in many inflammation-related diseases. However, there are few studies on the application of PEMF therapy to sepsis. In the current study, we examined the effect of PEMF therapy on a mouse model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced septic shock. Mice injected with LPS and treated with PEMF showed higher survival rates compared with the LPS group. The increased survival was correlated with decreased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokine mRNA expression and lower serum nitric oxide levels and nitric oxide synthase 2 mRNA expression in the liver compared with the LPS group. In the PEMF + LPS group, there was less organ damage in the liver, lungs, spleen, and kidneys compared to the LPS group. To identify potential gene targets of PEMF treatment, microarray analysis was performed, and the results showed that 136 genes were up-regulated, and 267 genes were down-regulated in the PEMF + LPS group compared to the LPS group. These results suggest that PEMF treatment can dramatically decrease septic shock through the reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokine gene expression. In a clinical setting, PEMF may provide a beneficial effect for patients with bacteria-induced sepsis and reduce septic shock-induced mortality. 相似文献

The transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) ion channel plays an important role in the peripheral nociceptive pathway. TRPV1 is a polymodal receptor that can be activated by multiple types of ligands and painful stimuli, such as noxious heat and protons, and contributes to various acute and chronic pain conditions. Therefore, TRPV1 is emerging as a novel therapeutic target for the treatment of various pain conditions. Notably, various peptides isolated from venomous animals potently and selectively control the activation and inhibition of TRPV1 by binding to its outer pore region. This review will focus on the mechanisms by which venom-derived peptides interact with this portion of TRPV1 to control receptor functions and how these mechanisms can drive the development of new types of analgesics. 相似文献
