The presence of kidney stone in the kidney causes discomfort to patients. Hence, removal of such stones is important which is commonly done these days, non-destructively, with lithotripters without surgery. Commercially, lithotripters like extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripters (ESWL) made by Siemens etc are in routine use. These methods are very cumbersome and expensive. Treatment of the patients also takes comparatively more time because of more number of sittings. Some delicate nerves and fibres in the surrounding areas of the stones present in the kidney are also damaged by high ultrasonic intensity used in such systems. In the present work, enhancement of the kidney stone fragmentation by using ultrasound is studied. The cavitation bubbles are found to implode faster, with more disintegration efficiency of the lithotripters, which give better treatment to the patients.  相似文献

Recently it has been demonstrated that synthetic calcium silicate hydrate Ca5Si6O18H2 · 4H2O shows cation exchange properties. In this paper we give the mass balance and thermodynamic data of the Ca2+ Pb2+ exchange which occurs in 1.1 nm tobermorite when placed in dilute Pb2+ solutions. The solid and solution phases have been analysed. The free energy of the exchange reaction at room temperature has been calculated. The X-ray powder diffraction data of the exchanged product have been reported. The crystallinity of the exchanger remains intact after ion exchange.  相似文献

An android application requires specific permissions from the user to access the system resources and perform required functionalities. Recently, the android market has experienced exponential growth, which leads to malware applications. These applications are purposefully developed by hackers to access private data of the users and adversely affect the application usability. A suitable tool to detect malware is urgently needed, as malware may harm the user. As both malware and clean applications require similar types of permissions, so it becomes a very challenging task to differentiate between them. A novel algorithm is proposed to identify the malware‐based applications by probing the permission patterns. The proposed method uses the k‐means algorithm to quarantine the malware application by obtaining permission clusters. An efficiency of 90% (approx.) is attained for malicious behaviour, which validates this work. This work substantiates the use of application permissions for potential applications in android malware detection.  相似文献

Potassium persulfate modes of thermal decomposition and reactions with ethyl acrylate in aqueous solution at 50°C in nitrogen atmosphere have been investigated. It has been found that the rate of persulfate decomposition may be expressed as ?d(S2O)/dt ∝ (S2O)1.00 ± 0.06 × (M)0.92±0.05 while the steady state rate of polymerization (Rp) is given by Rp ∝ (S2O)0.50 ± 0.50 × (M)1.00 ± 0.06 in the concentration ranges of the persulfate, 10?3?10?2 (m/L), and monomer (M), 4.62?23.10 × 10?2 (m/L), i.e., within its solubility range. In the absence of monomer, the rate of persulfate decomposition was slow and first order in persulfate at the early stages of the reaction when the pH of the solution was above 3.0. The separating polymer phase was a stable colloid at low electrolyte concentrations even in the absence of micelle generators. It has been shown that the oxidation of water soluble monomeric and oligomeric radicals by the S2O ions in the aqueous phase, viz., \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm M}_j^ \cdot + {\rm S}_2 {\rm O}_8^{2 - } \to {\rm M}_j - {\rm O} - {\rm SO}_3^ - + {\rm SO}_4^{ \cdot - } $\end{document} is not kinetically significant in this system. It has been found that the reaction \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm M} + {\rm S}_2 {\rm O}_8^{2 - } \rightarrow{k}{\rm M} - {\rm O} - {\rm SO}_3^ - + {\rm SO}_4^{ \cdot - } $\end{document} would also lead to chain initiation at the outset of the polymerization reaction. k has been estimated as 5.41 × 10?5 (L/m/s) at 50°C. Taking kp as 103 (L/m/s), kt has been estimated as 0.168 × 106 (L/m/s). The partition confficient (β) of the monomer between the polymer phase and the aqueous phase was found to be 16 ± 2, at 50°C. The rate constant for persulfate ion dissociation has been found as 1.40 × 10?6 s?1 at 50°C.  相似文献

The photopolymerization of styrene (Sty) in DMSO induced by pyrene (Py), 1‐Acetylpyrene (AP), 1‐(Bromoacetyl) pyrene (BP), and 1‐Acetylpyrene triphenyl arsonium bromide (APAS) has been investigated. Under all conditions employed, Py was completely ineffective. Incorporation of a chromophoric (? COCH3) moiety introduces photoinitiating activity into Py. It was observed that introduction of Br into AP markedly accelerated the rate of UV irradiation‐induced polymerization. BP was further modified to its arsonium salt (APAS). The kinetics and mechanism of polymerization using BP and APAS as initiators have been investigated in detail. The polymerization with BP followed nonideal kinetics (Rp ∝ [BP]0.8 [Sty]1.1) with respect to initiator concentration whereas ideal kinetics (Rp ∝ [APAS]0.48 [Sty]1.1) was observed when APAS was used as initiator. Degradative transfer is thought to be mainly responsible for this unusual kinetic behavior for BP–Sty system. The kinetic data proved that BP was more effective and faster initiator than APAS. In both the cases, the mechanism of polymerization was free radical as evident by inhibiting the effect of hydroquinone and ESR studies. Effectiveness of local binary pattern (LBP) features is well proven in the field of texture image classification and retrieval. This paper presents a more effective completed modeling of the LBP. The traditional LBP has a shortcoming that sometimes it may represent different structural patterns with same LBP code. In addition, LBP also lacks global information and is sensitive to noise. In this paper, the binary patterns generated using threshold as a summation of center pixel value and average local differences are proposed. The proposed local structure patterns (LSP) can more accurately classify different textural structures as they utilize both local and global information. The LSP can be combined with a simple LBP and center pixel pattern to give a completed local structure pattern (CLSP) to achieve higher classification accuracy. In order to make CLSP insensitive to noise, a robust local structure pattern (RLSP) is also proposed. The proposed scheme is tested over three representative texture databases viz. Outex, Curet, and UIUC. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method can achieve higher classification accuracy while being more robust to noise.  相似文献

In this article, we consider an inventory model for items that are stored in two-warehouses when demand is a general ramp-type function of time. Shortages are allowed and a constant fraction of shortages is backlogged. The existence and uniqueness of optimal solution is proved for both – the single-warehouse and the two-warehouse models. An algorithm is developed to facilitate the choice between the two-warehouse and the single-warehouse systems and hence to obtain the optimal replenishment policy. Numerical examples are presented. Results of XRD, optical absorption spectra, photoconductivity, photovoltaic effect and photoluminescence are reported for (Cd0.95–Pb0.05)S:CdCl2,Gd films prepared by chemical deposition technique at 60 °C and room temperature (RT). The XRD studies show prominent diffraction lines of CdS and PbS. Optical absorption spectra show direct bandgap nature with decreasing value due to addition of PbS. The saturated photocurrent (Ipc) to dark current (Idc) ratios 107 are found in films prepared at 60 °C and 104 in films prepared at RT. Photoluminescence is found to be brighter in films prepared at RT. Photovoltaic efficiency 5% has been observed in such films.  相似文献
