A total of 721 consumers were interviewed in order to obtain and compare consumer-driven associations to the word “Traditional”, in a food context, in six European regions. Participants, who were individually interviewed, had to state the first words that came into their mind when the word “Traditional” was verbally presented. Frequencies of occurrence of associations were obtained and analysed by means of simple correspondence analysis. The different word associations obtained were classified in 55 classes and then grouped in ten principal dimensions by triangulation. In general, southern European regions tended to associate the concept of “Traditional” more frequently with broad concepts such as heritage, culture or history. Central and Nordic European regions tended to focus mainly on practical issues such as convenience, health or appropriateness. As a final outcome of the analyses, a consensus conceptual map of traditional food products was obtained. The empirical findings of this qualitative exploratory free word association test provide valuable insights for product positioning, innovation and new developments in the traditional food market. 相似文献

The removal of humic acids and phenol from model solution by coagulation and adsorption on powdered activated carbon (PAC) was investigated. A PAX XL-69 polyaluminum chloride was applied as a coagulant. The adsorption of humic acids and phenol on activated carbon for single- and bi- component solutions was studied. It was found that coagulation without PAC addition was less effective than the adsorption-coagulation integrated system. Coagulation enhanced with adsorption on activated carbon was more effective when coagulation was preceded by adsorption than when the two processes were carried out simultaneously. The best results were obtained at pH 7. Phenol and color were removed pletely, UV254 absorbance was reduced by about 99% and COD-Mn was reduced by 81-89%. 相似文献

This study aims at obtaining cross‐linked polymeric materials of biomass origin. For this purpose, one‐pot polyesterification of methyl ricinoleate and methyl 12‐hydroxystearate using titanium isopropoxide as a catalyst is performed leading to polyesters known as estolides. The obtained estolides are successfully cross‐linked using dicumyl peroxide or a sulfur vulcanization system. The so‐formed bio‐based elastomers appear to exhibit promising properties. The latter are analyzed by mechanical tensile tests and thermal techniques (TGA, DSC, DMA) and show high thermal stability (T5% = 205–318 °C), tailored physico‐mechanical properties (low glass transition temperature in the range from ?69 to ?54 °C), and good tensile strength (0.11–0.40 MPa). Networks prepared from high molecular weight estolides appear to be promising bio‐based elastomers. Practical Applications: The vegetable oil‐based estolides described in this contribution are new fully bio‐based precursors for further elastomers synthesis. The resulting estolide networks (obtained by peroxide or sulfur cross‐linking) exhibit tailored thermo‐mechanical properties. 相似文献

ABSTRACT Studies of gold(III) ions sorption from hydrochloric acid solutions on 2,2‘-thiobisethanol dimethacrylate/ethylene glycol dimethacrylate copolymer were performed. The correlation between the concentration of HCl (0.0001–4 M) and sorption efficiency (370–140 mg g?1) was observed. The kinetics of sorption and the parameters of Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms for the studied systems were determined. The use of 0.8 M thiourea in 3 M HCl as eluent assured the high recovery degree of sorbed ions. It can, therefore, be concluded that newly synthesized sulfur-containing sorbent can be used in the recovery and concentration of gold(III) ions. 相似文献

The interaction between sertraline hydrochloride (SRT) and randomly methylated β-cyclodextrin (RMβCD) molecules have been investigated at 298.15 K under atmospheric pressure. The method used—Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) enabled to determine values of the thermodynamic functions like the enthalpy (ΔH), the entropy (ΔS) and the Gibbs free energy (ΔG) of binding for the examined system. Moreover, the stoichiometry coefficient of binding (n) and binding/association constant (K) value have been calculated from the experimental results. The obtained outcome was compared with the data from the literature for other non-ionic βCD derivatives interacting with SRT and the enthalpy-entropy compensation were observed and interpreted. Furthermore, the connection of RMβCD with SRT was characterized by circular dichroism spectroscopy (CD) and complexes of βCD derivatives with SRT were characterized through the computational studies with the use of molecular docking (MD). 相似文献

Due to their potent antibacterial properties, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are widely used in industry and medicine. However, they can cross the brain–blood barrier, posing a risk to the brain and its functions. In our previous study, we demonstrated that oral administration of bovine serum albumin (BSA)-coated AgNPs caused an impairment in spatial memory in a dose-independent manner. In this study, we evaluated the effects of AgNPs coating material on cognition, spatial memory functioning, and neurotransmitter levels in rat hippocampus. AgNPs coated with BSA (AgNPs(BSA)), polyethylene glycol (AgNPs(PEG)), or citrate (AgNPs(Cit)) or silver ions (Ag+) were orally administered at a dose of 0.5 mg/kg b.w. to male Wistar rats for a period of 28 days, while the control (Ctrl) rats received 0.2 mL of water. The acquisition and maintenance of spatial memory related to place avoidance were assessed using the active allothetic place avoidance task, in which rats from AgNPs(BSA), AgNPs(PEG), and Ag+ groups performed worse than the Ctrl rats. In the retrieval test assessing long-term memory, only rats from AgNPs(Cit) and Ctrl groups showed memory maintenance. The analysis of neurotransmitter levels indicated that the ratio between serotonin and dopamine concentration was disturbed in the AgNPs(BSA) rats. Furthermore, treatment with AgNPs or Ag+ resulted in the induction of peripheral inflammation, which was reflected by the alterations in the levels of serum inflammatory mediators. In conclusion, depending on the coating material used for their stabilization, AgNPs induced changes in memory functioning and concentration of neurotransmitters. 相似文献

Poland has significant reserves of energy in the form of coal. However, the exploitation of these reserves could lead to significant carbon emissions. Hydrogen technologies present a potentially sustainable option for the Polish energy system. This paper reviews the existing Polish energy system, resources, policies and measures from the perspective of planning a transition to a hydrogen-based economy. The key challenges and opportunities gathered by systematic consultation of senior stakeholders are presented. Coke oven gas and coal gasification are the major short and medium term sources of hydrogen. Underground conversion of coal deposits with integrated carbon capture and storage (CCS) is most important in the long term. Other opportunities include development of renewables, by-product hydrogen and nuclear power. Current lack of infrastructure, particularly for CCS, hydrogen pipelines and clean coal is seen as a significant barrier. Regional and central government should cooperate with industry to develop a portfolio of demonstration projects to provide experience and stimulate demand for hydrogen. 相似文献

New compounds as potential poly(vinyl chloride) plasticizers based on soybean oil and oligoesters of adipic acid and different glycols by one-pot transesterification are synthesized. In the first step of the plasticizer synthesis oligoesters of adipic acid and diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, or dipropylene glycol are synthesized, and then in situ in the second step, a defined amount of soybean oil is introduced. By degradation of soybean oil with oligoesters, and transesterification reaction, different compounds are obtained. Their physicochemical properties are determined by NMR, SEC, DSC, TGA, and volatility analyses. The properties of synthesized plasticizers are compared with commercial products: monomeric (DEHP) and aliphatic oligoster of adipic acid and 1,3-butanediol (H-1). 相似文献

1H and 19F spin-lattice relaxation experiments have been performed for butyltriethylammonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide in the temperature range from 258 to 298 K and the frequency range from 10 kHz to 10 MHz. The results have thoroughly been analysed in terms of a relaxation model taking into account relaxation pathways associated with 1H–1H, 19F–19F and 1H–19F dipole–dipole interactions, rendering relative translational diffusion coefficients for the pairs of ions: cation–cation, anion–anion and cation–anion, as well as the rotational correlation time of the cation. The relevance of the 1H–19F relaxation contribution to the 1H and 19F relaxation has been demonstrated. A comparison of the diffusion coefficients has revealed correlation effects in the relative cation–anion translational movement. It has also turned out that the translational movement of the anions is faster than of cations, especially at high temperatures. Moreover, the relative cation–cation diffusion coefficients have been compared with self-diffusion coefficients obtained by means of NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) gradient diffusometry. The comparison indicates correlation effects in the relative cation–cation translational dynamics—the effects become more pronounced with decreasing temperature. 相似文献
