In order to analyze the stochastic property of multilayered perceptrons or other learning machines, we deal with simpler models and derive the asymptotic distribution of the least-squares estimators of their parameters. In the case where a model is unidentified, we show different results from traditional linear models: the well-known property of asymptotic normality never holds for the estimates of redundant parameters.  相似文献

A rotor‐stator homogenizer was found to be an effective mixing tool that accelerated solid‐liquid phase‐transfer reactions. In the asymmetric alkylation under phase‐transfer conditions using the homogenizer, a considerably high turnover frequency was observed.

The quantity of oxygen-containing species adsorbed on Pt surface of a single-cell polymer electrolyte fuel cell membrane electrode assembly (PEFC MEA) in the gas-phase system was measured by stripping voltammetry (SV), of which the adsorbed amount is considered in terms of the quantity of electric charge required for stripping. The effect of different experimental parameters on the adsorption quantity was analyzed and an optimum condition for applying SV to a PEFC MEA electrode was then suggested. The electric charge required for stripping was observed to be linearly proportional to the potential and arose from 0.7 V vs. RHE. The adsorption amount of oxygen-containing species for the PEFC MEA at a cell temperature of 60 °C was 384 μC cm−2-Pt at a potential of 1.0 V vs. RHE. More importantly, considering the effect of O2 partial pressure on the adsorption in the gas-phase PEFC MEAs, water is suggested to be the main source of the oxygen in adsorbed oxygen-containing species. The present method is well applicable to quantitative studies of the oxygen-containing species adsorbed on electrodes of PEFC MEAs.  相似文献

The distribution equilibria of hydrochloric, nitric, perchloric, sulphuric and phosphoric acids between aqueous solutions and a solution of tri-n-octyl phosphine oxide (TOPO) in organic solvents have been investigated. The organic phases were studied by infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. As a result, it is found that the extraction of these acids is governed by the formation of HCl·TOPO, HNO3·TOPO and HClO4·TOPO, of H2SO4·2 TOPO and H2SO4·TOPO, and of H3PO4·3 TOPO, H3PO4·2 TOPO and H3PO4·TOPO, respectively.  相似文献

Aldosterone-producing adenomas (APAs) have different steroid profiles in serum, depending on the causative genetic mutation. Ion mobility is a separation technique for gas-phase ions based on their m/z values, shapes, and sizes. Human serum (100 µL) was purified by liquid–liquid extraction using tert-butyl methyl ether/ethyl acetate at 1/1 (v/v) and mixed with deuterium-labeled steroids as the internal standard. The separated supernatant was dried, re-dissolved in water containing 20% methanol, and injected into a liquid chromatography–ion mobility–mass spectrometer (LC/IM/MS). We established a highly sensitive assay system by separating 20 steroids based on their retention time, m/z value, and drift time. Twenty steroids were measured in the serum of patients with primary aldosteronism, essential hypertension, and healthy subjects and were clearly classified using principal component analysis. This method was also able to detect phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine, which were not targeted. LC/IM/MS has a high selectivity for known compounds and has the potential to provide information on unknown compounds. This analytical method has the potential to elucidate the pathogenesis of APA and identify unknown steroids that could serve as biomarkers for APA with different genetic mutations.  相似文献

We have been developing a high-performance liquid chromatography/photodiode array (HPLC/PDA) employing relative molar sensitivities (RMSs) and adopted it to the accurate quantification of carnosol (CL) and carnosic acid (CA) which are the antioxidants in rosemary extract. The method requires no references of CL or CA and instead uses RMSs with respect to diphenylamine (DPA) whose certified reference material is available from a reagent manufacturer. The molar and response ratios of the analytes to the reference in an artificial mixture of them were determined using 1H-quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-qNMR) and HPLC/PDA at a wavelength of 284 nm under isocratic condition, respectively, and then RMSs were calculated to be 0.111 for CL/DPA and 0.0809 for CA/DPA as averaged values in three HPLC–PDA instruments. The RMS values varied by up to 1.1% as relative standard deviation. To evaluate the performance of HPLC/PDA with the RMSs, the CL and CA contents in rosemary extracts were determined using DPA as a reference. The CL and CA contents were compared with those determined using calibration curves of CL and CA obtained by HPLC measurement of standard solutions prepared from their reagents whose absolute purities were determined using 1H-qNMR. The differences between the two methods for CL and CA were ≤3% as relative error. This chromatographic method with RMSs allows a simple and reliable quantification when reference of the analyte is unavailable.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We believe that many future scenarios will exist where a partner robot will talk with people on walks. To improve the user experience, we aim to endow robots with the capability to select an appropriate conversation topics by allowing them to start chatting about a topic that matches the current scenery and to extend it based on the user's interest and involvement in it. We implemented a function to compute the similarities between utterances and scenery by comparing their topic vectors. First, we convert the scenery into a list of words by leveraging Google Cloud Vision library [Google Cloud Vision Api [Online]. Available from: https://cloud.google.com/vision/] . We form a topic vector space with the Latent Dirichlet Allocation method and transform a list of words into a topic vector. Our system uses this function to choose (from an utterance database) the utterance that best matches the current scenery. Then it estimates the user's level of involvement in the chat with a simple rule based on the length of their responses. If the user is actively involved in the chat topic, the robot continues the current topic using pre-defined derivative utterances. If the user's involvement sags, the robot selects a new topic based on the current scenery. The topic selection that is based on the current scenery was proposed in our previous work [Totsuka R, Satake S, Kanda T, et al. Is a robot a better walking partner if it associates utterances with visual scenes? ACM/IEEE Int. Conf. on Human–Robot Interaction (HRI2017), Aula der Wissenschaft, Vienna, Austria; 2017. p. 313–322]. Our main contribution is the whole chat system, which includes the user's involvement estimation. We implemented our system with a shoulder-mounted robot and conducted a user study to evaluate its effectiveness. We created a two-dimensional array of sub-10 nm Si-nanodiscs (Si-NDs), i.e. a 2D array of Si-NDs, with a highly ordered arrangement and dense NDs by using a new top-down technique comprising advanced damage-free neutral-beam (NB) etching and a bio-template (iron oxide core) as a uniform sub-10 nm etching mask. The bandgap energy (E(g)) of the fabricated 2D array of Si-NDs can be simply controlled from 2.2 to 1.3 eV by changing the ND thickness from 2 to 12 nm. Due to weak quantum confinement existing in the diameter direction resulting from the sub-10 nm Si-ND diameter, even though the thickness of the Si-ND is much larger than the Bohr radius of Si, E(g) is still larger than the 1.1 eV E(g) of bulk Si. Si-ND not only has wide controllable E(g) but also a high absorption coefficient due to quantum confinement in three dimensions. This new technique is a promising candidate for developing new nanostructures and could be integrated into the fabrication of nanoelectronic devices.  相似文献
