The roles of ionic bonding in molten ethylene ionomers without ionic aggregates were rheologically characterized in linear regions under shear. We have measured melt viscosities of ethylene-methacrylic acid (EMAA) ionomers by means of dynamic shear experiment. The samples used in this study were binary mixtures selected from Na, Mg and Zn salts of EMAA (MAA=5.4 mol%). The dynamic shear properties revealed that the time-material superposition is applicable to these ionomer blends in a temperature range from 140 to 200 °C. It was also found that these binary mixtures unexpectedly give decreases of zero shear viscosities obtained from a time-material superposition, if the cations were selected from different metal groups such as alkali, alkaline earth and transition metals. This behavior can be explained by the acid-cation exchange mechanism.  相似文献

Metal layer was deposited by the reduction of NiCl2 and CoCl2 in polyacrylonitrile film after applying an external magnetic field in directions parallel and perpendicular to the surface of the film; the magnetic properties of the metal-deposited film were investigated. When the parallel magnetic field was applied, the values of coercivity (Hc), remanent flux density (Br) and maximum flux density (Bs) increased regardless of the composition of the metal ions, compared with the case without the application of the magnetic field. From the scanning electron micrographs and X-ray diffraction analyses, it was shown that the growth of crystalline orientation in the deposited metals was enhanced by applying a parallel magnetic field.  相似文献

For the effective use of short-lived radioactive beams, soon to be available at the Tokai Radioactive Ion Accelerator Complex, the authors have developed a radiotracer method for diffusion studies in solids. The experimental test was performed by the measurement of the diffusion coefficients of Li in a sample of the compound βLiAl using an α-emitting radiotracer of 8Li (T1/2=0.84 s). It was found that the time-dependent yields of the α particles from the diffusing 8Li that was initially implanted in the sample could be used as a measure of the diffusivity of the tracer in a nondestructive way. The method was applied to measure the self-diffusion coefficients of Li in βLiGa, and for investigating how the Li diffusion in the Li ionic conductors is affected by the concentration of atomic defects (i.e., the existence of the atomic vacancies of Li and the defects in Ga sites that are replaced by Li).  相似文献

Coatings can be applied to surfaces to improve the surface characteristics over those of the bulk properties and are widely used in tribological applications either to reduce wear and/or to modify friction during contact. One of the foremost coating methods for combating wear is thermal spraying. To prolong the life of steel slab continuous casting rolls, Cr3C2-NiCr detonation spray coating was processed on the roll surface in a steelmaking plant in China. This article studies the mechanical properties and wear resistance of this coating. The abrasive and dry frictional wear testing were performed using a pin-on-disk tester. Experimental results show that the wear resistance of the coated samples, i.e., coating reduces the risk of seizure compared to uncoated samples, is much better than those of the uncoated steel at room and elevated temperatures with any load and sliding velocity. The coating wear mechanisms under different test conditions are discussed.  相似文献

Depassivation-repassivation behavior on a pure iron surface in borate buffer solution was examined under potentiostatic control by a micro-indentation test. Current peaks emerge during both downward and upward drives of the indenter due to depassivation which is caused by plastic deformation of the substrate but not elastic deformation and repassivation. The total electric charge of the current peaks is proportional to the maximum load. The total electric charge also increases with increase in intermission time of the indentation, indicating that the passive film is ruptured even during stress relaxation. It is estimated from the electric charge balance that 82% and 18% of the film rupture occurs during the downward drive and intermission, respectively, and that no rupture occurs during the upward drive. Furthermore, the film-ruptured area is estimated to be 80% of the plastic deformed surface area. The partial retainment of the passive film on iron suggests that the ductility of the passive film is higher than that of the substrate.  相似文献

In the present work, the increase in the basicity index of the slag system of the flux, represented by the ternary system of MnO–SiO2–CaO oxides, is evaluated. The increment of the basicity index is performed by the addition of CaO, keeping the MnO/SiO2 percentage relation of the system constant, in order to evaluate the behaviour of the chemical composition resulting from the metal deposited by SAW. As a result, it is possible to intensify the Mn transfer to the deposited metal and at the same time attenuate that of the Si, S, P and the carbon remains basically unalterable. All this makes it possible, in combination with low-manganese wire, to obtain similar results to those obtained with fluxes of lower basicity in combination with medium manganese wires.  相似文献

Numerical simulations of combined natural convection–conduction in a droplet of n-dodecane suspended from a thermocouple were carried out, taking into consideration evaporation, and the effect of thermocouple diameter on the evaporation characteristics was investigated. The calculated temperature history of the droplet is in good agreement with experimental results; both show that the rate of heating decreases with increasing thermocouple diameter. The maximum error in temperature due to the thermocouple increases linearly with increasing thermocouple diameter. Thus, in investigations involving a droplet suspended from a thermocouple, it is preferable to use a thermocouple with the smallest possible diameter.  相似文献

Due to the recent popularization of mobile multimedia broadcasting, broadcasting continuous media data such as audio and video has attracted great deal of attention. In general continuous media data broadcasting, since clients have to wait to receive data before playing it, various schemes to reduce waiting time have been studied. Some reduce the waiting time by dividing the data into several segments and broadcasting preceding segments frequently with a single channel. However, by dividing the data into numerous segments and producing an effective broadcast schedule, the waiting time can be further reduced. In this paper, we propose a scheduling protocol to reduce waiting time with large-scale data segmentation.  相似文献

Due to the recent proliferation of digital broadcasting systems, various schemes for broadcasting continuous media data such as music or movies have been studied. In general broadcasting systems, since clients have to wait until their desired data are broadcast, these schemes reduce the waiting time by dividing the data into several segments of equal size. However, continuous media data often have units for playing portions of the data. For example, data encoded by MPEG2 can be played every GOP (group of pictures). In this paper, we propose a scheme to reduce the waiting time considering the units. Our proposed scheme divides a continuous media data at every unit. By scheduling divided data so that clients finish receiving a unit before starting to play the unit, waiting time is effectively reduced.  相似文献

A micro‐grooved evaporator is composed of µm‐wide grooves on a heat transfer plate in which the inter‐line regions at the liquid–vapor meniscus of coolant become identifiable. The high‐heat performance of the evaporator is realized by this inter‐line region (ILR) where the liquid thin film reduces the thermal resistance on the heat transfer surface. In this report, we propose a numerical simulation model of heat and mass transfer in a single groove to predict its capillary force and heat flux. The capillary force performance (capillary‐rise length in a groove) of a single groove was measured for samples of varying width, superheat, and inclination. The performance was found to be a maximum at a specific groove width of 200–400 µm, which is in good agreement with the predicted results calculated by the proposed model. For a better prediction of capillary‐rise length, the effective capillary force and the effective flow resistance were considered. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
