Recently, the routing problem in vehicular ad hoc networks is one of the most vital research. Despite the variety of the proposed approaches and the development of communications technologies, the routing problem in VANET suffers from the high speed of vehicles and the repetitive failures in communications. In this paper, we adjusted the well‐known K‐medoids clustering algorithm to improve the network stability and to increase the lifetime of all established links. First, the number of clusters and the initial cluster heads will not be selected randomly as usual, but based on mathematical formula considering the environment size and the available transmission ranges. Then the assignment of nodes to clusters in both k‐medoids phases will be carried out according to several metrics including direction, relative speed, and proximity. To the best of our knowledge, our proposed model is the first that introduces the new metric named “node disconnection frequency.” This metric prevents nodes with volatile and suspicious behavior to be elected as a new CH. This screening ensures that the new CH retains its property as long as possible and thus increases the network stability. Empirical results confirm that in addition to the convergence speed that characterizes our adjusted K‐medoids clustering algorithm (AKCA), the proposed model achieves more stability and robustness when compared with most recent approaches designed for the same objective. 相似文献

Field testing carried out for solar energy applications is costly, time consuming and depends heavily on prevailing weather conditions. Adequate security and weather protection must be provided at the test site. Measurements may also suffer from delays that can be caused by system failures and bad weather. To overcome these problems the need for accurate model becomes evermore important. To achieve such prediction task, an artificial neural network, ANN, model is regarded as a cost-effective technique superior to traditional statistical methods. In this paper, Levenberg optimization function is adopted to predict insolation data in different spectral bands for Helwan (Egypt) monitoring station. The predicted values were then compared with the actual values and presented in terms of usual statistics. The results hint that, the ANN model predicted infrared, ultraviolet, and global insolation with a good accuracy of approximately 95%, 93% and 96%, respectively. In addition, ANN model was tested to predict the same components for Aswan over an 11 month period. The predicted values of the ANN model compared to the actual values for Aswan produced an accuracy of 95%, 91% and 92%, respectively. Data for Aswan were not included as a part of ANN training set. Hence, these results demonstrate the generalization capability of this approach over unseen data and its ability to produce accurate estimates. 相似文献

Legumes are the base´s diet in several countries. They hold a high nutritional value, but other properties related to human health are nowadays being studied. The aim of this work was to study the influence of processes (boiling or germination) on the phenolic composition of dark beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L. c.v. Tolosana) and their effect on their antioxidant, neuroprotective and anticancer ability. Phenolic composition of raw and processed dark beans was analysed by HPLC-PAD and HPLC–ESI/MS. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by ORAC. Astrocytes cultures (U-373) have been used to test their neuroprotective effect. Anticancer activities were evaluated on three different cell lines (renal adenocarcinoma (TK-10), breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7) and melanoma (UACC-62)) by sulphorhodamine B method. Qualitative and quantitative differences in phenolic composition have been observed between raw and processed dark beans that influence the antioxidant activity, mainly for germinated samples which show a decrease of antioxidant capacity. Although every assayed extracts decreased reactive oxygen species release and exhibited cytotoxicity activities on cancer cell lines, raw beans proved to be the most active in neuroprotective and antitumoral effects; this sample is especially rich in phenolic compounds, mainly anthocyanins. This study further demonstrated that phenolic composition of dark beans is related with cooking process and so with their neuroprotective and anticancer activity; cooking of dark beans improves their digestion and absorption at intestinal level, while maintaining its protective ability on oxidative process at cellular level. 相似文献

The present study is an attempt to valorize local vegetable fibers by evaluating thire effectiveness as a new composite biomaterial. Our aim was to determine the mechanical characteristics, namely the elastic modulus and Poisson’s coefficient, of a fiber, locally called “Lif,” that is a natural material extracted from different date palm tree varieties in Biskra, a region situated in southeastern Algeria. This paper focuses on the modeling of a power PiN diode. The focal point basis is the dependence on temperature. The PiN diode remains a difficult device to model mainly during switching transients. An advanced PiN diode temperature‐dependent model is developed and implemented in VHDL‐AMS. Heterogeneous simulation scheme including the circuit wiring parasitic components, the probe effects and the dependent diode models is successfully simulated using SIMPLORER simulator. Experimental data of several commercial PiN diodes are compared to simulation results at different temperature levels. A good rate of consistency is found. Fusarium graminearum, the main causal agent of Fusarium Head Blight (FHB), is one of the most damaging pathogens in wheat. Because of the complex organization of wheat resistance to FHB, this pathosystem represents a relevant model to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying plant susceptibility and to identify their main drivers, the pathogen’s effectors. Although the F. graminearum catalog of effectors has been well characterized at the genome scale, in planta studies are needed to confirm their effective accumulation in host tissues and to identify their role during the infection process. Taking advantage of the genetic variability from both species, a RNAseq-based profiling of gene expression was performed during an infection time course using an aggressive F. graminearum strain facing five wheat cultivars of contrasting susceptibility as well as using three strains of contrasting aggressiveness infecting a single susceptible host. Genes coding for secreted proteins and exhibiting significant expression changes along infection progress were selected to identify the effector gene candidates. During its interaction with the five wheat cultivars, 476 effector genes were expressed by the aggressive strain, among which 91% were found in all the infected hosts. Considering three different strains infecting a single susceptible host, 761 effector genes were identified, among which 90% were systematically expressed in the three strains. We revealed a robust F. graminearum core effectome of 357 genes expressed in all the hosts and by all the strains that exhibited conserved expression patterns over time. Several wheat compartments were predicted to be targeted by these putative effectors including apoplast, nucleus, chloroplast and mitochondria. Taken together, our results shed light on a highly conserved parasite strategy. They led to the identification of reliable key fungal genes putatively involved in wheat susceptibility to F. graminearum, and provided valuable information about their putative targets. 相似文献

Extending the resolution and spatial proximity of lithographic patterning below critical dimensions of 20 nm remains a key challenge with very-large-scale integration, especially if the persistent scaling of silicon electronic devices is sustained. One approach, which relies upon the directed self-assembly of block copolymers by chemical-epitaxy, is capable of achieving high density 1?:?1 patterning with critical dimensions approaching 5 nm. Herein, we outline an integration-favourable strategy for fabricating high areal density arrays of aligned silicon nanowires by directed self-assembly of a PS-b-PMMA block copolymer nanopatterns with a L(0) (pitch) of 42 nm, on chemically pre-patterned surfaces. Parallel arrays (5 × 10(6) wires per cm) of uni-directional and isolated silicon nanowires on insulator substrates with critical dimension ranging from 15 to 19 nm were fabricated by using precision plasma etch processes; with each stage monitored by electron microscopy. This step-by-step approach provides detailed information on interfacial oxide formation at the device silicon layer, the polystyrene profile during plasma etching, final critical dimension uniformity and line edge roughness variation nanowire during processing. The resulting silicon-nanowire array devices exhibit Schottky-type behaviour and a clear field-effect. The measured values for resistivity and specific contact resistance were ((2.6 ± 1.2) × 10(5)Ωcm) and ((240 ± 80) Ωcm(2)) respectively. These values are typical for intrinsic (un-doped) silicon when contacted by high work function metal albeit counterintuitive as the resistivity of the starting wafer (~10 Ωcm) is 4 orders of magnitude lower. In essence, the nanowires are so small and consist of so few atoms, that statistically, at the original doping level each nanowire contains less than a single dopant atom and consequently exhibits the electrical behaviour of the un-doped host material. Moreover this indicates that the processing successfully avoided unintentional doping. Therefore our approach permits tuning of the device steps to contact the nanowires functionality through careful selection of the initial bulk starting material and/or by means of post processing steps e.g. thermal annealing of metal contacts to produce high performance devices. We envision that such a controllable process, combined with the precision patterning of the aligned block copolymer nanopatterns, could prolong the scaling of nanoelectronics and potentially enable the fabrication of dense, parallel arrays of multi-gate field effect transistors. 相似文献

The synthesis of an aromatic ether complex of cyclopentadienyliron containing two terminal aldehyde groups was achieved via metal-mediated nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions. This dialdehyde monomer was subsequently reacted with a variety of aliphatic and aromatic diamines to produce the corresponding soluble cationic organoiron polyether-imines. These cationic organometallic polymers were characterized using IR, 1H, and 13C NMR, viscosity and thermogravimetric analysis. Viscosity measurements showed that these polymers exhibited polyelectrolyte effects in DMSO solutions. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that decoordination of the iron moieties occurred at about 300°C for polymers with aliphatic spacers in their backbones, while the cyclopentadienyliron moieties were cleaved from the polymers with aromatic spacers in their backbones at about 200°C. Photolytic demetallation of the organoiron polymers resulted in the removal of the pendent cyclopentadienyliron moieties and allowed for the isolation of their organic analogs. While the organoiron polymers were soluble in polar organic solvents, the corresponding organic polymers exhibited very limited solubilities or were insoluble. The electrospray ionization (ESI) method was used for deposition of thin films of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) on Cu/ZSM-5 (5 wt.% Cu) and Ag–Cu/ZSM-5 (1 wt.% Ag and 4 wt.% Cu) composites. For comparative purposes, the ZSM-5 zeolite was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and loaded with PAA under the same treating conditions as the composites. This method allowed the formation of uniform polymer films of controlled thickness on conductive substrates. The structural characteristics were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The deposited PAA layer over ZSM-5 acts as a common dispersing and stabilizing agent through coordination-driven guest-templated polymer via interaction of Ag+ and Cu2+ with carboxylic acid groups, thus increasing and controlling the adhesion and the release of metallic species. A short exposure to light and temperature has reduced the metal ions to Cu0 and Ag0 metallic nanoparticles. The results of XRD analysis let suggest that the interaction of Cu and Ag with carboxylic groups of PAA inhibits the formation of large metallic silver particles. These samples were being studied for their potential as antibacterial agents toward the bacterial strains such as Staphylococcus pneumonia, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa as Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, respectively. Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans as Fungi were also evaluated. The Cu/ZSM-5 and Ag–Cu/ZSM-5 nanocomposites coated with a 10 nm thick PAA layer exhibit significant antibacterial activity. 相似文献
