Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is one of the ecofriendly biodegradable polymers with excellent moldability but with rather low mechanical properties especially for the industrial and biomedical use. In this research, to overcome the problem, the two types of cellulose nanofibers, the cellulose acetate nanofibers (CA-NF) and the cellulose nanofibers (C-NF), were composited into PCL for the enhancement of the mechanical properties of PCL. CA-NF were prepared by electrospinning and converted into C-NF afterward by deacetylation. It was found that the Young's modulus of the CA-NF/PCL composite at the fiber concentration of 35 wt% significantly increased by ~3 times as compared with that of neat PCL, whereas C-NF/PCL of the same fiber concentration also increased by ~4.5 times. It was also found that the Young's moduli of CA-NF/PCL nearly reached the theoretical values calculated by the equation suggested by Tsai, but that the Young's moduli of C-NF/PCL could not reach the theoretical values. It indicates that CA-NF possessed better compatibility with PCL than C-NF, agreeing well with the fracture-surface analyses of the two composites by the scanning electron microscopy.  相似文献

Nitrated gitoxins (4) and bufotoxin homologues with various lengths of alkyl chain at C-3 of the steroid nucleus (10) were prepared from gitoxin (1). The pharmacological activities of the resulting compounds (4 and 10) were evaluated by measurement of inhibitory effect on NA+, K(+)-adenosine triphosphatase (ATPase) prepared from dog kidney, positive inotropic effect (PIE) on isolated guinea-pig papillary muscle preparations, and the effect on smooth muscle using the mesenteric artery from spontaneously hypertensive rats. Most of the compounds showed a smaller contractile effect on the arterial muscle. Among these compounds, gitoxin 3"-nitrate (4g) exhibited the most desirable biological activities, such as PIE comparable to that of 1, 1.25 times wider concentration-dependent range than 1, and lack of contractile activity on vascular muscle.  相似文献

The exfoliation of layered muscovite with non-swelling property has been performed by combining various processes, such as heating, intercalation, and wet-jet milling. The c axis of muscovite was expanded from 2004.0 to 2022.8 pm at 800 °C without the destruction of crystallinity of muscovite. The heating at 800 °C led to the weak attraction force between potassium ions and silicate layers by hydroxylation of muscovite. The muscovite heated at 800 °C progressed the intercalation of dodecylammonium chloride (DDAC) into the layers effectively. Furthermore, the DDAC molecules were inserted to the interlayer of muscovite effectively by suppressing the formation of micelle of DDAC. The sedimentation test of wet-jet milled muscovite slurry showed that the relative packing density of muscovite was decreasing with increasing the amount of the intercalated DDAC. As results, the aspect ratio of muscovite prepared with combining the heating, the intercalation and the wet-jet milling was increased by 253% as compared to the raw muscovite. The aspect ratio was calculated from laser particle size distribution and thickness size distribution which was estimated from field emission-scanning electron microscopic images. The expansion of the interlayer led to the effective exfoliation of muscovite with high aspect ratio.  相似文献

The sintering behavior of Pt metal particles was studied by supporting them on silica-coated alumina. Silica coating was found to be effective for the retention of a large surface area of alumina even after calcination at elevated temperatures. Before sintering, the size of Pt metal particles on all the silica-coated aluminas, including the uncoated alumina, was identical, while the particle size was larger on silica than on alumina. After sintering the Pt catalyst at 1073 K, the particle size increased on uncoated alumina as well as on alumina coated with thicker silica layers, especially on the supports previously calcined at >1473 K. On the other hand, the size of Pt metal particles did not increase much on alumina coated with monolayer silica. The observed suppression of sintering of Pt metal particles resulted from the retention of a large surface area of alumina with a thinner silica layer. In the case of a thicker silica layer, although a large surface area was maintained after calcination at elevated temperatures, the existence of a bulk silica-like property of the support did not favor the suppression of sintering of Pt metal particles.  相似文献

Organic single crystals have a great potential in the field of organic optoelectronics because of their advantages of high carrier mobility and high thermal stability. However, the application of the organic single crystals in light‐emitting devices (OLEDs) has been limited by single‐layered structure with unbalanced carrier injection and transport. Here, fabrication of a multilayered‐structure crystal‐based OLED constitutes a major step toward balanced carrier injection and transport by introducing an anodic buffer layer and electron transport layer into the device structure. Three primary color single‐crystal‐based OLEDs based on the multilayered structure and molecular doping exhibit a maximum luminance and current efficiency of 820 cd cm?2 and 0.9 cd A?1, respectively, which are the highest performance to date for organic single‐crystal‐based OLEDs. This work paves the way toward high‐performance organic optoelectronic devices based on the organic single crystals.  相似文献

Pitting corrosion is typical corrosion observed on coated hold frames in way of cargo holds of bulk carriers, which exclusively carry coal and iron ore. Extensive survey on the effect of pitting corrosion on structural strength under a wide variety of loading conditions is necessary to clarify the relationship between pitting intensity and residual strength in detail. In the present study, a series of tests has been conducted on structural models which consist of web, shell and face plates to investigate the effect of pitting corrosion on strength of web plates subjected to patch loading. In these tests, artificial pitting was made on the web plates and two equal concentrated loads have been applied vertically at the one third points of simply supported models. It was found that web crippling behavior is strongly affected by the pit distribution on the web plates. According to the FE-analyses following the experiment, ultimate strength of the web plates with pitting under patch loading is a little smaller than or almost the same as that of the web plates with uniform corrosion in terms of average thickness loss.  相似文献

The global and systematic demonstration for the practical usage of a direct three-dimensional in vivo measurement system (PRIMOS) to evaluate wrinkles was investigated. Ten repetitive measurements of the corner of the eye of a subject showed that the coefficient of variation (CV)% value was 7.0% in a typical line-length roughness parameter R(a) (the arithmetic mean of roughness), and that the CV% value in a typical surface area roughness parameter S(a) was 2.4%. The relationships between the roughness values obtained from the corners of the eye and the age or wrinkle scores of Japanese women aged 10-70 years was examined. The values of several roughness parameters within the evaluation line length or surface area increased with age and showed a good correlation coefficient (r > 0.743). Similar relationships between the wrinkle scores and the values of roughness parameters were observed (r > 0.699). The roughness values were widely distributed even in the same wrinkle score because the measurement areas were limited and the values of skin roughness, including the microreliefs and/or small warts, were included in the calculation. However, changes in roughness values are considerable following treatment with potent active ingredients such as retinoic acid, so that this in vivo evaluation method is sufficient to objectively evaluate wrinkles. We conclude that the direct three-dimensional analysis of wrinkles in vivo should become a popular method to objectively evaluate wrinkles in clinical tests of wrinkle-smoothing ingredients or following cosmetic surgery to provide evidence of quantitative results.  相似文献

In this study, we attempted to classify the methylotrophic yeasts based on diversities of alcohol oxidase (AOD), i.e. zymogram patterns and partial amino acid sequences. According to zymogram patterns for AOD, members of the methylotrophic yeasts separate into two major lineages, one group involving strains having a single AOD and the other group, including Pichia methanolica, Candida pignaliae and C. sonorensis, showing nine AOD isozymes. Based on partial amino acid sequences of AOD, the methylotrophic yeasts could be divided into five groups, and this classification agrees mostly with grouping based on 26S domain D1/D2 rDNA nucleotide sequences, except for some strains. Moreover, the strains having AOD isozymes constitute one group with P. trehalophila, P. glucozyma and Pichia sp. strain BZ159, although these strains are divided into two types, based on amino acid sequences of second AODs. On the other hand, these AOD isozymes consist of two subunits; the first subunits are induced not only by methanol but also by glycerol and pectin, although the second subunits are mainly induced by methanol. These data indicate that AOD isozymes and second AOD genes distribute widely in several methylotrophic yeasts in the natural environment, and second AOD genes may have evolved as methylotrophic genes that can adapt to the environmental conditions of higher methanol concentrations.  相似文献

An overview is given of previously-proposed measurement-based connection admission control (CAC) methods. First we address requirements for CAC methods, and then provide a taxonomy for CAC methods. Measurement-based CAC methods are discussed in detail, classified according to the taxonomy, and compared against each other with respect to the requirements. We conclude that measurement-based CAC methods based on effective bandwidth and bufferless models are promising because they do not require complex hardware and are less dependent on assumptions regarding traffic than methods in which the effect of buffer is considered.  相似文献
