This paper outlines the features of a new integrated switching system for voice and data. It is composed of integrated subscriber terminals, integrated subscriber lines, an integrated digital switching system, and integrated storage facilities. The effect of a small artificial defect (ie a drilled hole, the diameter of which is from 40 to 200 μm) on the fatigue strength of low carbon steel and medium carbon steel was investigated. The fatigue strength of the specimen containing the very small hole was found to be of almost the same order of magnitude as the fatigue limit of the plain specimen - that is, the existence of the very small hole did not weaken the fatigue strength of the holed specimen. This phenomenon had previously been predicted, and explained quantitatively, from a comparison of the hole dimensions with the size of non-propagating cracks which appear in the plain specimen at the stress level of the fatigue limit. The results of the present investigation can be applied to the evaluation of fatigue notch sensitivity of materials with high tensile strength or high hardness, and, from the metallurgical aspect, to the quantitative control of defects or inclusions in metals. 相似文献

The p-version of the finite element method which uses high order hierarchic basis functions within an element allows for ease of adaptive computation, and high accuracy with relatively few degrees of freedom. However, the solution time and storage requirements for large 3-D problems can be very high when direct methods are used to factor global matrices. Iterative techniques with rapid operator application have minimal storage requirements because neither element nor global matrices are formed, but may not converge rapidly enough. We study an approach that attempts to combine the two methods by using direct factorization of the matrix corresponding to low level polynomials as a preconditioner to an iterative method at a higher polynomial level. This resulting solution scheme converges more rapidly than an unpreconditioned scheme but has much lower storage requirements than direct methods. We illustrate the effectiveness of this scheme on some large three-dimensional problems in structural analysis. 相似文献

The Jc and Hirr values at 77 K of ternary light-rare-earth compounds, LREBa2Cu3Oy “LRE-123”, are usually high enough to serve in various applications. Several sources of vortex pinning can be in these composites tailored to fit the needs of the particular application. The list comprises LRE/Ba solid solution, oxygen vacancies, large particles of secondary phases, twin planes, nanoscale lamellas, etc. By means of the latter defects one can achieve a very high irreversibility field. Refinement of secondary phase particles and the optimal choice of their amount enhance the electromagnetic performance in a broad temperature range, up vicinity of Tc, allowing levitation at liquid oxygen, 90.2 K. An optimum content of MoO3 doubles the self-field super-current at 77 K, H||c-axis. Altogether, the pinning tailoring in ternary LRE-123 materials provides a flexible and reliable way to fit the electromagnetic performance with the needs of sophisticated high-temperature and high-magnetic-field applications. 相似文献

Comparison of the hydrogen bonding of racemic RS-1-monostearoylglycerol and chiral S-1-monostearoylglycerol in benzene was carried out through the NMR measurement. In addition, the concentration dependence of a chirality of S-1-monostearoylglycerol in hexane was studied though UV and circular dichroism (CD) measurements. The chemical shifts of OH protons of the S- and RS-1- monostearoylglycerols indicated that the hydrogen bonding between the R- and S-form molecules of RS-1-monostearoylglycerol is stronger than that between the S- and S-form molecules of S-1-monostearoylglycerol in the low concentration region and that the difference in the strength of hydrogen-bonding between them becomes small in the high concentration region. The chirality of the S-1-monostearoyglycerol in hexane decreased with increasing its concentration. This suggests that the association of chiral S-1-monoacylglycerol arising from its increasing concentration reduces the chirality of S-1-monostearoylglycerol. 相似文献

The tribological properties of Fe7Mo6-based alloy, Mo, Fe and ASTM class no. 45 cast iron disk specimens were investigated against ASTM 52100 steel balls under the lubrication of two different kinds of hydrophobic ionic liquid: N-methyl-N-propylpiperidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (PP13-TFSI) and N-N-N-trimethyl-N-propylammonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (TMPA-TFSI). When lubricated with PP13-TFSI or TMPA-TFSI, the Fe7Mo6-based alloy disk specimens exhibited lower friction coefficients and lower wear rates than the Mo, Fe and ASTM class no. 45 cast iron disk specimens. The low friction coefficients and low wear rates of the Fe7Mo6-based alloy were considered to be caused by the formation of low friction materials such as MoO3 and FeSO4 on the worn surface. 相似文献
