The preparation and characterization of a biobased electromagnetic absorbing composites derived from natural lacquer as a renewable resource with microwave‐absorption fillers, including Ni–Zn ferrite and carbonyl iron (CI) as magnetic metals and soot and carbon nanotube (CNT) as carbon materials, were investigated in terms of the gel content, hardness, drying properties, and electromagnetic absorption properties. Interestingly, composites with ferrite and CI contained up to 320 and 550 wt %, respectively, of these compounds. This quite high loading capacity of the metal fillers in a natural‐lacquer base could have been due to the high compatibility between the filler and the natural lacquer; this indicated that the natural lacquer worked as a binder for these metals. The morphology of the biobased composite was characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The electromagnetic absorption properties of composites were characterized in the frequency range from 0.05 and 20 GHz by the reflection loss (RL) measurement method in terms of the kind of fillers and filler loading. The natural lacquer did not affect the absorption properties of the fillers. Biobased composites showed over 99% electromagnetic absorption in the frequency range 3.0–4.0 GHz for 280 wt % ferrite and 8.9–9.7 GHz for 200 wt % CI. Conversely, 10 and 20 wt % soot exhibited good performance (RL < ?20 dB) between 16.5 and 17.3 and between 8.8 and 9.2 GHz, respectively. The areas with RL values of less than ?20 dB of the CNT composites were 10.4–11.0 GHz for 5 wt % and 14.6–15.2 GHz for 10 wt %. We present a computing environment for origami on the web. The environment consists of the computational origami engine Eos for origami construction, visualization, and geometrical reasoning, WebEos for providing web interface to the functionalities of Eos, and web service system Scorum for symbolic computing web services. WebEos is developed using Web2.0 technologies, and provides a graphical interactive web interface for origami construction and proving. In Scorum, we are preparing web services for a wide range of symbolic computing systems, and are using these services in our origami environment. We explain the functionalities of this environment, and discuss its architectural and technological features.  相似文献

The diversity of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in vivo has been reported. In this article, we propose a cellular automata (CA) model describing the interactions between the immune system and HIV, and examine the effect of the diversity of these interactions. The novel aspects of our CA model are that it not only considers four states (HIV, virgin, dead, infect) but also the diversity exhibited by both HIV and T cells. We simulated maximum diversities for these states by simulating CA on a computer. The model revealed that increased diversity had the effect of increasing the HIV population and simulation steps. In addition, we observed that the CA model accurately reflects the occurrence of infection, incubation period, and the development of AIDS. The CA model demonstrated that the diversity of the virus is the major factor affecting the success rate of the escape of HIV from the immune response. Recently, remote monitoring camera systems have been widely used for security. In such systems, one important function is that the system automatically detects any change in the scenes from the monitoring cameras. In wireless remote monitoring camera systems, the images of the scenes are generally transmitted as compressed data (e.g., JPEG file), because of the capacity of the wireless channel. This article shows the automated detection of the change point in time-series data of compressed JPEG file quantity (Kbytes) from the monitoring camera by applying the sequential probabilistic ratio test (SPRT) and the Chow test, which is well known as a standard method for detecting structural change in time-series data.  相似文献

A distributed multiple server system is designed and implemented with Web-DB based services for distance learning as well as emergency communication. The system has employed multiple servers located in a distributed campus network environment. Each server of the system has multi-core processors. With so-called “server virtualization” technology, some programs are executed in parallel (on the virtual servers) so that such a system can efficiently perform several functions. For example, two or more application services can be performed simultaneously as “cloud services” on the whole system. The system can provide distance learning scheme for educational tool, at the same time it can also support Web-based surveillance facilities for emergency contact. With qualitative and quantitative approach, trial evaluation of system has been performed in some classrooms of distributed campus. And users can obtain some good results from the above evaluation.  相似文献

In molecular biology, it is said that two biological sequences tend to have similar properties if they have similar three-dimensional structures. Hence, it is very important to find not only similar sequences in the string sense, but also structurally similar sequences from databases. In this paper we propose a new data structure that is a generalization of a parameterized suffix tree (p-suffix tree for short) introduced by Baker. We call it the structural suffix tree or s-suffix tree for short. The s-suffix tree can be used for finding structurally related patterns of RNA or single-stranded DNA. Furthermore, we propose an O(n(log|| + log||)) on-line algorithm for constructing it, where n is the sequence length, || is the size of the normal alphabet, and || is that of the alphabet called parameter, which is related to the structure of the sequence. Our algorithm achieves linear time when it is used to analyze RNA and DNA sequences. Furthermore, as an algorithm for constructing the p-suffix tree, it is the first on-line algorithm, though the computing bound of our algorithm is the same as that of Kosarajus best-known algorithm. The results of computational experiments using actual RNA and DNA sequences are also given to demonstrate our algorithms practicality.  相似文献

In this article, a new desktop orthogonal-type robot, which has the capacity of stick-slip motion control based on cutter location data, is presented for lapping small metallic molds with a curved surface. The robot consists of three single-axis devices with a high position resolution of 1 μm. A thin wooden stick tool with a ball-end shape is attached to the tip of the z-axis. In order to improve the lapping performance, a novel stick-slip motion control method is developed in the control system. The small stick-slip motion is orthogonally generated in the direction of the tool’s movement. The effectiveness of stick-slip motion control is examined through an actual lapping test of an LED lens cavity.  相似文献

For sustainable manufacturing, manufacturers should construct and design inverse manufacturing systems consisting of assembly and disassembly systems. The sorting process in the disassembly system is the first process of the whole inverse manufacturing system. Therefore, it can become a bottleneck and decrease the productivity of the whole inverse manufacturing systems.This study focuses on a disassembly system with reverse blocking in a sorting process [Yamada, T., & Matsui, M. (2003). Disassembly production systems and its design issues. Reprints of Japan Industrial Management Association, Spring meeting, Chofu, Japan, May, 144–145 (in Japanese)]. It generalizes the queuing model and discusses the performance of the disassembly system by mathematical and numerical analysis. First, the sorting process with reverse blocking is generally modeled as a queuing system. Next, the stationary state equations of the system are formulated, and the objective function is set as the throughput. Finally, the system performance is discussed by mathematical and numerical analysis in cases of a different number of stations and buffers, and also an example of the system design is shown and discussed in view of the busy rate, blocking probability and throughput.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose an agent architecture to improve flexibility of a videoconference system with strategy-centric adaptive QoS (Quality of Service) control mechanism. The proposed architecture realizes more flexibility by changing their QoS control strategies dynamically. To switch the strategies, system considers the properties of problems occurred on QoS and status of problem solving process. This architecture is introduced as a part of knowledge base of agent that deals with cooperation between software module of videoconference systems. We have implemented the mechanism, and our prototype system shows its capability of flexible problem solving against the QoS degradation, along with other possible problems within the given time limitation. Thus we confirmed that the proposed architecture can improve its flexibility of a videoconference system compared to traditional systems. We investigate a biologically inspired design of an interface agent that is embedded inside human-artifact interactions rather than as an external observer, and has to work as an intelligent associate for a human user/operator in a time-critical situation like in an emergency. First, recent paradigmatic shifts of artifact design principles are discussed from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. Then, after the idea of Clancey’s activity modeling, we discuss the design principles of a situated interface agent. That is, different from the conventional supervisory agent’s task of seeking to optimize an isolated control task, such an agent has to be able to maintain its identity as an organism living within multiple contexts and looking inwards to consider the the nature of memory and perception, and looking outwards to consider the nature of social action with a human operator. Initially, our prior work using such a design principle is presented, and then decision-theoretic formulations of an interface agent’s activities are provided.
