The effect of CuO on the sintering temperature, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of (Zr0.8Sn0.2)TiO4 (ZST) modified with 1 wt% of ZnO has been investigated. Microwave dielectric properties of ZST ceramics are measured from cryogenic to room temperatures (15–290 K). Crystallite sizes of sintered ZST ceramics as derived from XRD are in the 30–50 nm range. The addition of CuO effectively reduced the sintering temperature to 1300 1C, possibly due to liquid-phase effects. Addition of CuO did not cause any secondary phases up to 1.5 wt% of CuO. The dielectric constant (εr) and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (εf) of ZST ceramics do not significantly vary with temperature, whereas the unloaded quality factor (Qu) changes noticeably. It is found that the Qu factor of the sample without CuO decreased with increase in temperature, whereas the samples with addition of CuO up to 1.0 wt% showed less dependence on temperature. The Qu factor of CuO-free ZST is 15,000 and that of ZST with 0.5 wt% of CuO is 11,800 at 15 K. The Qu factor while measured at room temperature ranged between 2900 and 7000. (Hyperbranched polyurethane‐urea)/[(3‐aminopropyl)triethoxysilane]‐ZnO (HBPUU‐APTES‐ZnO) hybrid coatings were synthesized using an inexpensive mixing technique by varying the APTES‐modified ZnO concentration. The mechanical and surface properties of the hybrid coating films were studied and compared with unmodified and modified ZnO. The corrosion, solvent and abrasion resistance show significant enhancement in HBPUU‐APTES‐ZnO hybrids and their properties are increased with increasing APTES‐ZnO concentration. The present work involved the application of a two-step sintering (TSS) technique for typical Ce0.9Gd0.1O2?δ–La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3–δ (GDC–LSCF) composites and its effect on the microstructure and resultantly mechanical and O2-permeating properties. The samples obtained by conventional sintering (CS) performed at 1100, 1250, and 1400 °C for 3 h exhibited maximum flexural strength and hardness values of 142 MPa and 8.71 GPa, respectively. However, the application of a TSS procedure produced fine-grained microstructures with improved mechanical properties. In particular, with the use of a typical 1250/1200 TSS protocol, increases of approximately 31 % and 7% in the flexural strength and hardness values, respectively, were observed compared to those obtained using the CS method. Moreover, thick-film (~ 60 μm) GDC–LSCF membrane prepared by tape casting and the TSS technique showed remarkably 1.5–2 times higher oxygen permeation flux than membrane sintered by CS method. Drug which shows extensive first pass effect is difficult task that, needs to be solved by formulators in the pharmaceutical science. The low oral bioavailability (49%) of flutamide may be due to poor wettability, low aqueous solubility and extensive first pass effect. The aim of present investigation was to prepare flutamide loaded microspheres and incorporate it into suppositories for rectal delivery to avoid first pass effect and enhance residence time. Flutamide loaded mucoadhesive microspheres of Ocimum Basilicum mucilage (OBM) were prepared using spray drying and characterized by percent production yield, encapsulation efficiency, particle size, zeta potential, polydispersity index, DSC, SEM, XRPD, in vitro drug release and stability studies. Moreover, ex vivo mucoadhesion was investigated using falling liquid film technique to determine the adhesion of microspheres to sheep rectal mucosa. The microspheres had nearly spherical shape and size about 2.53?μm. The encapsulation efficiency and mucoadhesion of optimized formulation MBF10 were found to be 69.6?±?2.3% and 89.01?±?2.18%, respectively. Percent CDR of optimized flutamide loaded mucoadhesive microspheres was found to be 88.7?±?1.3 at 7?h. In conclusion, OBM microparticles based suppository could be used to deliver drug through rectal delivery. 相似文献

In this study, we have employed covalent molecular assembly to fabricate robust thin film structures comprising molecular
layers and have demonstrated its application in tribology. An anhydride-functionalized polymer (gantrez) was deposited over
an amine-functionalized silicon surface through covalent binding and employed as an intermediate layer between derivatized
silicon and perfluoropolyether (PFPE). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and ellipsometry were employed
to study the interfacial chemistry, morphology, and thickness of the assembled films. The films show excellent stability and
strength against sonication, which can be attributed to the covalent interlayer linkage. Such films showed wear life of >100,000
cycles in ball-on-disk sliding tests at a normal load of 0.5 N and a sliding rotation of 200 rpm at a track radius of 3.2 mm.
The performance was superior compared to that of PFPE-coated self assembled monolayers used as the lubricating layer. The
film systems and assembly technique can be employed as nano-lubrication in several technological applications, such as information

Interdiffusion, intrinsic, tracer and impurity diffusion coefficients are calculated in the Pd–Pt system. Interdiffusion coefficients are more or less insensitive to composition change. Activation energy varies in the range of 324–353 kJ/mol. Impurity diffusion coefficients calculated in this study and available tracer diffusion coefficients in pure elements indicate that Pd has higher diffusion rate compared to Pt in pure Pd, whereas, both the elements have similar diffusion rates in Pt. Kirkendall marker experiments indicate that Pd has much higher diffusion rate in Pd3.5at.%Pt compared to Pt. 相似文献
