This work presents the dielectric properties of YNbO4 (YNO)–TiO2 composites in the microwave range. X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrates that the addition of TiO2 to YNO results in the formation of a Y(Nb0.5Ti0.5)2O6 phase. In the microwave range, the values of permittivity and dielectric loss did not present major changes with the increment of TiO2. Moreover, the addition of TiO2 results in an improvement in the thermal stability of YNO, with YNO63 demonstrating a resonant frequency of ?8.96 ppm.°C?1. We utilised numerical simulations to evaluate the behaviour of these materials as dielectric resonator antennae and it is found that they exhibit a reflection coefficient below ?10 dB at the resonant frequency, with a realised gain of 4.94 – 5.76 dBi, a bandwidth of 665–1050 MHz and a radiation efficiency above 84%. Our results indicate that YNO–TiO2 composites are interesting candidates for microwave operating devices.  相似文献

Electricity generation for mobile applications by proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) is typically hindered by the low volumetric energy density of hydrogen. Nevertheless, nearly pure hydrogen can be generated in-situ from methanol steam reforming (MSR), with Cu-based catalysts being the most common MSR catalysts. Cu-based catalysts display high catalytic performance, even at low temperatures (ca. 250 °C), but are easily deactivated. On the other hand, Pd-based catalysts are very stable but show poor MSR selectivity, producing high concentrations of CO as by-product. This work studies bimetallic catalysts where Cu was added as a promoter to increase MSR selectivity of Pd. Specifically, the surface composition was tuned by different sequences of Cu and Pd impregnation on a monoclinic ZrO2 support. Both methanol conversion and MSR selectivity were higher for the catalyst with a CuPd-rich surface compared to the catalyst with a Pd-rich surface. Characterization analysis indicate that the higher MSR selectivity results from a strong interaction between the two metals when Pd is impregnated first (likely an alloy). This sequence also resulted in better metallic dispersion on the support, leading to higher methanol conversion. A H2 production rate of 86.3 mmol h?1 g?1 was achieved at low temperature (220 °C) for the best performing catalyst.  相似文献

Social media has experienced rapid growth in recent years and has been subjected of discussions on a wide range of topics including new lifestyles and eating habits, providing a great opportunity to obtain spontaneous consumer information. In this sense, the present work aimed to understand the perception of Twitter® users about themes of veganism and plant-based diets. The social networking data mining methodology was applied to measure the relationship between both terms. The significant differences found were analysed using the global chi-square (χ2) test, and their sources of variation were investigated by the chi-square per cell. The results indicate that the vegan group's posts are more related to the categories of recipes, trends, criticism and negative comments about veganism, being more often citing sources when compared to the other group. The results of the plant-based diet group are more significantly related to the impacts of nutrition, physical activity and consumer health. In conclusion, Twitter® has proved to be an interesting tool for obtaining data on (re) produced food publications on social media and their results can guide the market and the academic environment in creating new products, services and marketing strategies to answer the needs of specific consumers.  相似文献

The purpose of this work was to design, develop and optimize different combinations of drug delivery systems (DDS) with nanofibrillated (NFC) and microfibrillated (MFC) cellulose-based materials, as 3D networks, encapsulating eucalyptus essential oil molecules, for dermic and respiratory applications. Experimental and computational approaches were implemented for characterization, modeling studies, and structure porosity optimization. The optimized porous structures were able to retain the desired molecules, resulting in more controlled and uniform release kinetics over time. This methodology allowed for optimizing new bio-based drug delivery systems with controlled porosity, pore dimension and distribution, retention of therapeutic molecules, and uniformity of the 3D network. The results showed that different drug delivery systems with this 3D matrix released the essential oil molecules, improving its stability and prolonging the exposure time, factors that are important to develop promising drug delivery systems in biomaterials fields. Overall, cellulose-based structured biomaterials capable of transporting and releasing essential oil components are representatives of innovative materials that will be used in novel applications, in which the exposure time to the therapeutic molecules constitutes a competitive benefit.  相似文献

‘Sweet Charlie’ strawberries were wrapped with PVC polymeric film, and forced-air precooled after delays of 0, 6 or 8 hours at 30 °C to study the effect of delaying precooling on physical and chemical quality characteristics of the strawberry. Non-wrapped fruits were used as a control. Evaluations were performed after storage for one week at 1 °C plus one day at 20 °C. Delaying the precooling resulted in less attractive fruits and loss of quality characteristics. Wrapped strawberries maintained better appearance and quality than nonwrapped berries.  相似文献
