In this paper, a comprehensive methodology for characterizing the high power resonance behavior of bulk piezoelectric ceramics using the burst method is described. In the burst method, the sample is electrically driven at its resonance frequency, and then either a short circuit or an open circuit condition is imposed, after which the vibration decays at the resonance or antiresonance frequency, respectively. This decay can be used to measure the quality factor in either of these conditions. The resulting current in the short circuit vibration condition is related to the vibration velocity through the “force factor.” The generated voltage in the open circuit vibration condition corresponds to the displacement by the “voltage factor.” The force factor and the voltage factor are related to material properties and physical dimensions of the sample. Using this method, the high power behavior of the permittivity, compliance, effective piezoelectric charge constant, electromechanical coupling factor, and material losses can be determined directly by measuring the resonance (short circuit) and antiresonance (open circuit) frequencies, their corresponding quality factors, the force factor A, and the voltage factor B. The experimental procedure to apply this method is described and demonstrated on commercially available hard and semi‐hard PZT materials of geometry.  相似文献

The hydrogeological survey of Bavaria has recently been intensified in order to produce a countrywide hydrogeological map at the scale of 1:50,000 by 2015. The spatial data will be seamfree, reflect the 3D-character of hydrogeological maps and comprehensive search functions will be available for the whole dataset. A spatial database was designed which incorporates the complex relations of rock and groundwater bodies. The underlying relational data model integrates the following main object types: propagation of the upper aquifers and surface layers, rock bodies, structural surfaces together with point data and fault lines, groundwater bodies as well as groundwater surfaces together with point data and the distribution of different types of groundwater potential. The database was developed as an ArcGISextension using the Geodatabase as a relational database. The application of this system supports the mapping process and guarantees a consistent data structure. After integration into the Bavarian Soil Information System, the hydrogeological spatial data will be available for the users in a searchable format.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of industrial pollution on the distribution of radiocaesium in soil and on its transfer from soil to plants. The study was started in September 2000 in four Scots pine stands located at distances of 0.5, 2, 4 and 8 km along a transect running SE from the Cu-Ni smelter at Harjavalta in SW Finland. Annual emissions from the smelter in 1990 were 80 t of Cu, 31 t of Ni and 9000 t of SO(2), and in 1999 these were 5.9, 0.8 and 3400 t, respectively. At each site, soil profiles were sampled with a corer, and samples were separated into litter (L), organic soil layer (O) and mineral soil layers (B, E). Mushrooms, lichens (Cladina spp. and Cetraria islandica), lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) and crowberry (Empetrum nigrum) plants were collected at each site, except at a distance of 0.5 km, where only mushrooms were available. In the organic soil layer, 137Cs activity decreased from 8000 Bq/m(2) at a distance of 8 km from the smelter to 1500 Bq/m(2) at a distance of 0.5 km; in litter, 137Cs concentration increased from 6300 Bq/m(2) at 8 km to 14000 Bq/m(2) at 0.5 km. 137Cs activity concentration decreased significantly in plants, mushrooms and lichens as the pollution load increased. In lichens, 137Cs activity decreased from 910 Bq/kg at 8 km to 170 Bq/kg at 2 km, while in lingonberry it decreased from 1470 to 20 Bq/kg and in crowberry from 310 to 20 Bq/kg. Aggregated transfer factors for 137Cs decreased in a similar way in lingonberry from 7.6x10(-2) m(2)/kg at 8 km to 7.7x10(-4) m(2)/kg at 2 km and in crowberry from 1.6x10(-2) to 7.9x10(-4) m(2)/kg.  相似文献

Self-reinforced polylactide–polyglycolide (80/20) composite rods, 2 mm in diameter and 36 mm in length, were implanted into the dorsal subcutaneous tissue of 20 rabbits. Osteotomies of the distal femur were fixed with these rods (2 × 15 mm) in the rabbits. The follow-up times varied from 3 to 104 weeks. After sacrifice, three-point bending and shear tests and molecular weight measurements were performed for subcutaneously placed rods. Radiological, histological, microradiographic, oxytetracycline-fluorescence, and histomorphometrical studies of the osteotomized and intact control femora were performed. After 6 weeks the mechanical properties had decreased significantly, but osteotomies had healed uneventfully. The present investigation showed that the mechanical strength and fixation properties of SR-Polylactide–glycolide (80/20) rods are suitable for fixation of cancellous bone osteotomies in rabbits provided that the operative technique is correct. The present article is the first report on the application of these rods for fixation of cancellous bone osteotomies.  相似文献

The problem of estimating spectral reflectances from the responses of a digital camera has received considerable attention recently. This problem can be cast as a regularized regression problem or as a statistical inversion problem. We discuss some previously suggested estimation methods based on critically undersampled RGB measurements and describe some relations between them. We concentrate mainly on those models that are using a priori information in the form of high-resolution measurements. We use the "kernel machine" framework in our evaluations and concentrate on the use of multiple illuminations and on the investigation of the performance of global and locally adapted estimation methods. We also introduce a nonlinear transformation of reflectance values to ensure that the estimated reflection spectra fulfill physically motivated boundary conditions. The reported experimental results are derived from measured and simulated camera responses from the Munsell Matte, NCS, and Pantone data sets.  相似文献

A method of augmenting an airborne vehicle for short-period dynamics and stability by passive means is presented in this study. A trajectory- phase disturbance rejection capability is achieved for an unguided fin-stabilized vehicle by flexible mounting of the fins to the vehicle body. The deflecting fins lag the body oscillation such that the harmonic oscillation can be quickly dampened. The amount of fin deflection may be chosen by a hinge-line location; among other things, the vehicle damping behaviour is largely determined by this choice. Linear theory is applied and 6- DOF simulations are carried out to demonstrate the approach suitability for the task.  相似文献

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (ASCs) are an adult stem cell population able to self-renew and differentiate into numerous cell lineages. ASCs provide a promising future for therapeutic angiogenesis due to their ability to promote blood vessel formation. Specifically, their ability to differentiate into endothelial cells (ECs) and pericyte-like cells and to secrete angiogenesis-promoting growth factors and extracellular vesicles (EVs) makes them an ideal option in cell therapy and in regenerative medicine in conditions including tissue ischemia. In recent angiogenesis research, ASCs have often been co-cultured with an endothelial cell (EC) type in order to form mature vessel-like networks in specific culture conditions. In this review, we introduce co-culture systems and co-transplantation studies between ASCs and ECs. In co-cultures, the cells communicate via direct cell–cell contact or via paracrine signaling. Most often, ASCs are found in the perivascular niche lining the vessels, where they stabilize the vascular structures and express common pericyte surface proteins. In co-cultures, ASCs modulate endothelial cells and induce angiogenesis by promoting tube formation, partly via secretion of EVs. In vivo co-transplantation of ASCs and ECs showed improved formation of functional vessels over a single cell type transplantation. Adipose tissue as a cell source for both mesenchymal stem cells and ECs for co-transplantation serves as a prominent option for therapeutic angiogenesis and blood perfusion in vivo.  相似文献

This paper presents two parallel realizations of sparse distributed memory (SDM) on a tree-shaped computer. The original model of SDM is introduced in terms of generalized computer memory and artificial neural networks (ANNs). For parallellization purposes, addressing, storage and retrieval operations are explained in detail. Some existing implementations in various computing platforms are considered before introducing the tree-shaped parallel computer, TUTNC (Tampere University of Technology Neural Computer). Two mappings are given, each utilizing parallelism with different granularities, and compared in terms of measured execution time, task partitioning and load balancing. Performance estimates are given for a larger system. The results show that SDM can be well parallelized in TUTNC. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
