Although oxide crystals doped with Ce3+ are not useful in laser operation, they have advantage in the areas such as scintillators and passive optical sources. Scintillator materials require high light-yield and fast fluorescence decay time. However, when the crystalline quality is degraded by defects created during the crystal growth process, afterglow from the crystals is observable persistently. Such phosphorescence is undesirable for scintillators, but useful in passive optical sources. The phosphorescence observed in Ca2Al2SiO7 doped with Ce3+ ions has been investigated in detail and a model is proposed to explain the mechanism responsible.  相似文献

A photoelectric conversion efficiency of over 10% has been achieved in thin-film microcrystalline silicon solar cells which consist of a 2 μm thick layer of polycrystalline silicon. It was found that an adequate current can be extracted even from a thin film due to the very effective light trapping effect of silicon with a low absorption coefficient. As a result, this technology may eventually lead to the development of low-cost solar cells. Also, an initial aperture efficiency as high as 13.5% has been achieved with a large area (91 cm × 45 cm) tandem solar cell module of microcrystalline silicon and amorphous silicon (thin film Si hybrid solar cell). An even greater initial efficiency of 14.7% has been achieved in devices with a small size (area of 1 cm2), and further increases of efficiency can be expected.  相似文献

A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method for the simultaneous analysis of triamterene, trichlormethiazide, furosemide and spironolactone is presented for application in the examination of health food supplements advertising weight reduction and in the analysis of pharmaceuticals. The HPLC assay was performed under gradient conditions using a Wakosil ODS 5C18 column (5 microns, 150 x 4.6 mm i.d.). The mobile phase consisted of a gradient program with a mixture of water and acetonitrile containing 0.1% triethylamine adjusted with phosphoric acid to pH 3.0: from 0 to 6 min, 15% acetonitrile; from 6 to 20 min, linear gradient from 15 to 50% acetonitrile; and from 20 to 40 min, 50% acetonitrile. The column effluent was monitored from 0 to 20 min at 260 nm and from 20 to 40 min at 235 nm. The calibration curves of the four drugs showed good linearity and the correlation coefficients were better than 0.999 in all cases. The lower limits of detection were approximately 40 ng for each drug. Commercially available health food supplements and pharmaceuticals were analyzed after extraction with a mixture of methanol and acetic acid (99:1). The procedure described here is suitable for the screening of four diuretic drugs in adulterated supplements and for the quality control of pharmaceuticals with minimal sample preparation.  相似文献

The chain-breaking antioxidation reaction mechanism of a phenolic lignan in a lipid oxidation system was investigated. The 2,2′-azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN)-induced radical oxidation reaction in a large amount of ethyl linoleate in the presence of secoisolariciresinol, one of the potent antioxidative lignans widely distributed in edible plants, produced two types of peroxides as radical termination products, as well as a cyclic derivative. The isolation and structure determination of the peroxides revealed that they have a peroxide linkage with ethyl linoleate or isobutyronitrile at the 1-position of the benzene ring of secoisolariciresinol. The cyclic derivative was also identified as lariciresinol by spectroscopic analysis. Based on the chemical structures of these products, a reaction pathway for the antioxidation reaction of secoisolariciresinol in oxidising lipid media was proposed.  相似文献

This paper describes the traveling tournament problem, a well-known benchmark problem in the field of tournament timetabling. We propose an approximation algorithm for the traveling tournament problem with the constraints such that both the number of consecutive away games and that of consecutive home games are at most k. When k≤5, the approximation ratio of the proposed algorithm is bounded by (2k−1)/k+O(k/n) where n denotes the number of teams; when k>5, the ratio is bounded by (5k−7)/(2k)+O(k/n). For k=3, the most investigated case of the traveling tournament problem to date, the approximation ratio of the proposed algorithm is 5/3+O(1/n); this is better than the previous approximation algorithm proposed for k=3, whose approximation ratio is 2+O(1/n).  相似文献

Levetiracetam (LEV) suppresses the upregulation of proinflammatory molecules that occurs during epileptogenesis after status epilepticus (SE). Based on previous studies, LEV likely helps prevent the onset of epilepsy after insults to the brain, unlike other conventional anti-epileptic drugs. Recently, we discovered that the increase in Fosl1 expression that occurs after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation is suppressed by LEV and that Fosl1 inhibition suppresses inflammation in BV-2 microglial cells. These data indicate that Fosl1 is an important target of LEV and a key factor in preventing epilepsy onset. In this study, we examined the effects of LEV on Fosl1 expression and neuroinflammation in vivo. During epileptogenesis, the post-SE upregulation of hippocampal levels of Fosl1 and many inflammatory factors were suppressed by LEV. Fosl1 expression showed a characteristic pattern different from that of the expression of Fos, an immediate-early gene belonging to the same Fos family. At 2 days after SE, Fosl1 was predominantly expressed in astrocytes but was rarely detected in microglia, whereas Fos expression was distributed in various brain cell types. The expression of A2 astrocyte markers was similar to that of Fosl1 and was significantly suppressed by LEV. These results suggest that LEV may regulate astrocyte reactivity through regulation of Fosl1.  相似文献

This paper proposes an ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian) finite element method for gas–liquid two-phase flow, based on an incompressible two-fluid model, to analyze the two-phase flow including moving boundaries. The basic equations are derived by describing the two-fluid model in the ALE form. The solution algorithm is parallel to a fractional step method, and the Galerkin method is employed for the formulation. A quadrilateral element with four nodes is used for the discretization of the computational domain. The present method is also applied to calculate the flow around a circular cylinder, which is forced to oscillate in a quiescent air–water two-phase mixture. The drag coefficients of the cylinder exhibit periodical change in accordance with the variation of the flow around the cylinder. The time variations of the flow field and drag coefficients are discussed in relation to the oscillation of the cylinder.  相似文献
