M. M. a man aged 49. He suffered from a head injury at the aged of 41. At that time he lost consciousness for a few minutes and he was diagnosed as a consquassatio cerebri. The sequelaes of his head injury were a change of character and a disturbance of autonomic nerve function. The changes of character were decreased of activity, lie-down for all day, decrease of speech and depressive mode, and occasionally he was ill-humored, restless and irritative. Periodically he became euphoris, talkative and childisch. He had a disturbance of autonomic nerve function which became worse in parallel to the depressive states. We speculated that character changes, such as manic-depressive states and disturbances of autonomic nerve function were due to the bruising of the bilateral orbital surfaces of frontal lobes. 相似文献

Gamma-ray-induced graft copolymerization of butadiene with vinyl monomers onto PVC was attempted to improve the physical properties of PVC. The Izod impact strength was increased from 2 kg·cm/cm2 to more than 100 kg·cm/cm2 by grafting ca. 10% butadiene. But the tensile strength and melt flow were decreased by the grafting. The electron micrograph showed that the mass of polybutadiene in the graft copolymer had a convenient diameter (0.1–1 μ) for absorbing the impact energy. The weatherability of PVC grafted with butadiene was improved by cografting of butadiene with acrylates and methacrylates which had long side chains. 相似文献

Network analysis is powerful in building formal network models of various computational systems or social systems and obtaining their functions and performance exactly because of simplicity of binary relations in networks. Traditionally, it takes lots of effort in network analysis because network analysis was performed by the use of lots of numerical data in batch processing form. Effective network analysis activity, satisfying the system requirements based on consideration for such traditional manner with high cost, requires semiautomatic or computer aided man-machine facilities with interactive editing, analysis, and result viewing functions. We have developed Graphical Editing and Analysis system for Network System (Geans) on DEC PDP-11/34 minicomputer with a graphic display which enables us to edit or modify various network representations and analyze their qualitative and quantitative property, smoothly and interactively with the use of graphics and data abstraction. Geans is composed of a network editing system with effective use of a graphic display, a network data management system with systematic use of network data abstraction, a network analysis system with construction of shared library routines and specific object problem oriented routines, and a node/arc shape definition system. Geans has been applied to various network models such as a transportation analysis problem, PERT/CPM planning, Petri Net analysis and a guidance system for an urban railway network, and moreover it is being applied to other analysis areas as evolving itself. 相似文献

AIMS/BACKGROUND: The liver clears circulating plasma-kallikrein through a receptor-mediated endocytosis process: an initial fast phase is followed by a slow exponential phase. METHODS: To determine whether the clearance rate of plasma-kallikrein is affected during liver regeneration, we perfused isolated rat livers with rat plasma-kallikrein (rPK) at 0, 1, 2, 3 and 7 days after partial hepatectomy or sham operation. RESULTS: Liver regeneration was followed by the expression of the proliferating-cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) labeling index. The serum concentration of alpha2-macroglobulin, an acute phase protein in rats, was measured. At day 1, the fast phase of rPK clearance rate increased in hepatectomized rats when compared with day 0 (4.9+/-0.4 and 3.7+/-0.4 mU/g liver min, p<0.05). However, at day 2, the rPK fast phase clearance rate dropped significantly (2.6+/-0.2, p<0.05), when compared with day 1. No difference was found among the sham groups at different days of hepatectomy. These changes seem to be independent of the acute phase reaction. The regenerative liver weight increased continuously during the observation period. PCNA expression increased significantly after hepatectomy, with maximal PCNA-labeling indices at days 1 and 2, declining thereafter. CONCLUSION: The rPK fast phase clearance rate changes during liver regeneration, with a zenith occurring when PCNA labeling index is maximal (day 1) and a nadir occurring at the mitotic phase (day 2). 相似文献

The ability of plasmid DNA encoding various influenza viral proteins from the A/PR/8/34 (H1N1) virus to protect against influenza was compared in BALB/c mice. The plasmid DNA encoded hemagglutinin (HA), neuraminidase (NA), matrix protein (M1), nucleoprotein (NP) or nonstructural protein (NS1) in a chicken beta-actin-based expression vector (pCAGGS). Each DNA was inoculated twice 3 weeks apart at a dose of 1 microgram per mouse by particle-mediated DNA transfer to the epidermis (gene gun). Seven days after a second immunization, mice were challenged with the homologous virus and the ability of each DNA to protect mice from influenza was evaluated by decreased lung virus titers and increased survival. Mice, given HA- or NA-expressing DNA, induced a high level of specific antibody response and protected well against the challenge virus. On the other hand, mice given M1-, NP-, or NS1-DNA failed to provide protection, although M1- and NP-DNAs did induce detectable antibody responses. These results indicate that both HA- and NA-expressing DNAs for the surface glycoproteins are most protective against influenza from among the various viral protein-expressing DNAs used here. 相似文献
