A simple and rapid HPLC method was developed for the simultaneous determination of nine kinds of preservatives, benzoic acid (BA), sorbic acid (SOA), dehydroacetic acid (DHA), methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA-Me), ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA-Et), isopropyl p-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA-isoPu), propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA-Pu), isobutyl p-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA-isoBu) and butyl p-hydroxybenzoate (PHBA-Bu), in foods. For solid foods, the preservatives were extracted with methanol. After addition of 5 mmol/L citrate buffer to the extract, the extract solution was cleaned up on an Oasis HLB cartridge. The cartridge was washed with 5 mmol/L citrate buffer and methanol-5 mmol/L citrate buffer (4:6). Then, nine kinds of preservatives were eluted with methanol. The eluent was used for BA, SOA and DHA determination by HPLC. Furthermore, a part of the eluent was cleaned up on a Bond Elut PSA cartridge for p-hydroxybenzoate esters determination by HPLC. Liquid foods were cleaned up after addition of 5 mmol/L citrate buffer without the extraction process, and the subsequent procedure was the same as for solid foods. The recoveries of p-hydroxybenzoate esters from ten kinds of foods fortified at levels of 0.01 and 0.10 g/kg each were 91.5 to 107.4%, and those of BA, SOA and DHA were 76.4 to 104.8%. Calcium orthophosphate powders with various Ca/P ratios were prepared by a wet process, employing CaCO3 and H3PO4 as starting materials. After they were calcined and pressed to form pellets, they were fired at various temperatures ranging from 800 to 1200 °C. The samples at various stages were examined by X-ray diffraction and SEM, The a.c. electrical conductivity was measured for a series of samples. For some of the samples, the d.c. electrical conductivity and electromotive force were also measured. The samples showed relatively high conductivity (4×10–5 S cm–1 at 800 °C). With respect to the tricalcium orthophosphate with nearly stoichiometric composition, the predominant charge carrier at 800 °C was presumed to be an ion although it is not identified at the moment.  相似文献

The mechanism of the unique suspension polymerization of uniform monomer droplets, without coalescence and breakup during the polymerization, was investigated using styrene (S) as a monomer mixed with water‐insoluble hexadecane (HD). The glass membrane (Shirasu Porous Glass, SPG) emulsification technique was employed for the preparation of uniform droplets. Depending on the pore sizes of the SPG membranes (1.0, 1.4, and 2.9 μm), polymer particles of an average diameter ranging from 5.6 to 20.9 μm were obtained with the coefficient of variation (CV) being close to 10%. The role of HD was to prevent the degradation of the droplets by the molecular diffusion process. Sodium nitrite was added in the aqueous phase to kill the radicals desorbed from the droplets (polymer particles), thereby suppressing the secondary nucleation of smaller particles. Each droplet behaved as an isolated locus of polymerization. With the presence of HD, the initial polymerization rate was proportional to 0.24th power of the benzoil peroxide (BPO) concentration. This peculiar behavior as compared with the ordinary suspension polymerization was explained by introducing the assumption that each droplet was composed of isolated compartments (cells) in which active polymeric radicals were dissolved in an S‐rich phase and surrounded by a rather incompatible S/HD (continuous) phase. The average number of radicals in the droplet increased initially due to the separate existence of polymeric radicals in compartments. As the polymerization progressed, the HD‐rich phase gradually separated, eventually forming macrodomains, which were visible by an optical microscope. The phase separation allowed polystyrene chains to dissolve in a more favorable S phase, and the homogeneous bulk polymerization kinetics took over, resulting in a gradual decrease of the average number of radicals in the droplet until the increase of viscosity induced the gel effect. When no HD was present in the droplets, the polymerization proceeded in accordance with the bulk mechanism except for the initial retardation by the entry of inhibiting radicals generated from sodium nitrite in the aqueous phase. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The edible jellyfish exumbrella collagen was prepared by limited pepsin digestion. The yield of collagen was very high; 46.4% on the basis of lyophilised dry weight. This collagen was comprised of α1α2α3‐heterotrimers, moreover it was relatively stable at 26.0 °C for 60 min. Thus, the edible jellyfish exumbrella will have potential as an important collagen source for use in various industries and it is expected that the development thus so far unutilised resource will advance in the future. © 1999 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

An experimental study of natural convection heat transfer in a differentially heated semicircular enclosure was carried out. The flat surface was heated and the radial surface was cooled isothermally. The effects of angle of enclosure inclination on the heat transfer across semicircular regions of several radii were measured for Rayleigh numbers RaR ranging from 6.72 × 106 to 2.33 × 108, using water as the working fluid. The angle of inclination varied from −90 degrees to 90 degrees with radii R of 50, 40, and 30 mm. The flow patterns were sketched from the results of a visualization experiment using aluminum powder. The temperature measurements in the enclosure were carried out using liquid crystals and thermocouples. The results indicate that different flow patterns were encountered as the angle of inclination varied, and the heat transfer rate was largely dependent on the flow pattern. In particular, enhanced heat transfer rates can be obtained when plume-like flow occurs along both hot and cold walls in the case of an upward-facing hot wall. Heat transfer for the inclined enclosure can be predicted using the equation for a vertical enclosure presented in this paper. © 1998 Scripta Technica, Inc. A nonholonomic control method is considered for stabilizing all attitudes and positions (x, y, or z) of an underactuated X4 autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) with four thrusters and six degrees of freedom (DOF), in which the positions are stabilized according to the Lyapunov stability theory. A dynamic model is first derived, and then a sequential nonlinear control strategy is implemented for the X4-AUV which is composed of translational and rotational subsystems. A controller for the translational subsystem stabilizes one position out of the x-, y-, and z-coordinates, whereas controllers for the rotational subsystems generate the desired roll, pitch, and yaw angles. Thus, the rotational controllers stabilize all the attitudes of the X4-AUV at the desired (x-, y-, or z-) position of the vehicle. Some numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.  相似文献

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a common dementia disease in the elderly. To get a better understanding of the pathophysiology, we performed a proteomic analysis of the urine exosomes (U-exo) in AD model mice (J20). The polymer precipitation method was used to isolate U-exo from the urine of 3-month-old J20 and wild-type (WT) mice. Neuron-derived exosome (N-exo) was isolated from U-exo by immunoprecipitation. iTRAQ-based MALDI TOF MS/MS was used for proteomic analysis. The results showed that compared to WT, the levels of 61 and 92 proteins were increased in the J20 U-exo and N-exo, respectively. Gene ontology enrichment analysis demonstrated that the sphingolipid catabolic process, ceramide catabolic process, membrane lipid catabolic process, Aβ clearance, and Aβ metabolic process were highly enriched in U-exo and N-exo. Among these, Asah1 was shown to be the key protein in lipid metabolism, and clusterin, ApoE, neprilysin, and ACE were related to Aβ metabolism and clearance. Furthermore, protein–protein interaction analysis identified four protein complexes where clusterin and ApoE participated as partner proteins. Thus, J20 U-exo and N-exo contain proteins related to lipid- and Aβ-metabolism in the early stages of AD, providing a new insight into the underlying pathological mechanism of early AD.  相似文献

Water surface is one of the most important components of landscape scenes. When rendering spacious water surface such as that of the lakes and reservoirs, aliasing and/or moiré artifacts frequently occur in the regious far from the viewpoint. This is because water surface consists of stochastic water waves which are usually modeled by periodic bump mapping. The incident rays on the water surface are actually scattered by the bumped waves, and the reflected rays at each sample point are distributed in a solid angle. To get rid of the artifacts of moiré pattern, we estimate this solid angle of reflected rays and trace these rays. An image-based accelerating method is adopted so that the contribution of each reflected ray can be quickly obtained without elaborate intersection calculation. We also demonstrate anti-aliased shadows of sunlight and skylight on the water surface. Both the rendered images and animations show excellent effects on the water surface of a reservoir. He was granted the title of emeritus professor from both Hiroshima University and Hiroshima Institute of Technology. He was appointed as a researcher associate at Hiroshima University in 1956, a professor from 1968 to 1992 and an associated researcher at Clarkson College of Technology, Potsdam, N.Y., from 1973 to 1974. He was a professor at Hiroshima Prefectural University from 1992 to 1995 and a professor at Hiroshima Institute of Technology from a996 to the end of March 1999. He received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering in 1954, 1956, and 1967 from Waseda University. His research interests include computer graphics, image processing and electric machinery. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, CGS, Eurographics, IEE of Japan, and IPS of Japan. Wei Hua received his Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Zhejiang University in 2002. He joined the CAD&CG State Key Lab in 2002. His main interests include real-time simulation and rendering, virtual reality and software engineering. Yasuo Nagai is now an associate professor of Hiroshima Institute of Technology. He was appointed a researcher associate at Hiroshima Institute of Technology in 1965, and an associate professor in 1984. His research interests include computer graphics and image processing. He is a member of IEE, IEICE, IPSJ, and ITE of Japan. Qun-Sheng Peng was born in 1947. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of East Anglia, U.K., in 1983.
