Parametric oscillators have been well studied but currently are not used often. Nevertheless, they could be a low-phase noise solution, at least outside the frequency bandwidth of the resonant circuit. The theoretical aspect of parametric oscillations is briefly reviewed in this paper. Indeed, the basic theory of a simple resistance-inductor-capacitor (RLC) circuit working in parametric conditions easily can be extended toward a resonant loop that includes a quartz crystal resonator. Then, as an application, this study is transposed to a quartz crystal oscillator that has been modeled and tested as a first prototype. Simulation results are compared with those actually obtained.  相似文献

Influence of thiols on kinetics of acrylate radical photopolymerization in the presence and absence of photoinitiators was studied. The kinetics was monitored by infrared absorption and photo-differential scanning calorimetry. It was found that aromatic thiols at concentrations, <0.5% (∼0.05 M), can accelerate radical photopolymerization. Initiation of radical photopolymerization by some aromatic thiols in the absence of conventional photoinitiators was observed. As well as expected inhibition of photopolymerization at higher concentration of aromatic thiols due to chain transfer was detected. A ground state charge-transfer complex formation between thiols and benzoin based photoinitiators was detected.Mechanism of thiols participation in photopolymerization involving reduction of oxygen inhibition and dissociation of charge-transfer complexes is discussed.  相似文献

On a daily basis, people are exposed to a multitude of health-hazardous airborne particulate matter with notable deposition in the fragile alveolar region of the lungs. Hence, there is a great need for identification and prediction of material-associated diseases, currently hindered due to the lack of in-depth understanding of causal relationships, in particular between acute exposures and chronic symptoms. By applying advanced microscopies and omics to in vitro and in vivo systems, together with in silico molecular modeling, it is determined herein that the long-lasting response to a single exposure can originate from the interplay between the newly discovered nanomaterial quarantining and nanomaterial cycling between different lung cell types. This new insight finally allows prediction of the spectrum of lung inflammation associated with materials of interest using only in vitro measurements and in silico modeling, potentially relating outcomes to material properties for a large number of materials, and thus boosting safe-by-design-based material development. Because of its profound implications for animal-free predictive toxicology, this work paves the way to a more efficient and hazard-free introduction of numerous new advanced materials into our lives.  相似文献

The use of the time gating technique for lifetime reconstruction in the Fourier domain is a novel technique. Time gating provides sufficient data points in the time domain for reliable application of the Fourier transform, which is essential for the time deconvolution of the system of the integral equations employed in the reconstruction. The Fourier domain telegraph equation is employed to model the light transport, which allows a sufficiently broad interval of frequencies to be covered. Reconstructed images contain enough information needed for recovering the lifetime distribution in a sample for any given frequency within the megahertz-gigahertz band. The use of this technique is essential for recovering time-dependent information in fluorescence imaging. This technique was applied in reconstruction of the lifetime distribution of four tubes filled with Rhodamine 6G embedded inside a highly scattering slab. Relatively accurate fluorescence lifetime reconstruction demonstrates the effectiveness and the potential of the proposed technique.  相似文献

We describe a new light transport model, which was applied to three-dimensional lifetime imaging of F?rster resonance energy transfer in mice in vivo. The model is an approximation to the radiative transfer equation and combines light diffusion and ray optics. This approximation is well adopted to wide-field time-gated intensity-based data acquisition. Reconstructed image data are presented and compared with results obtained by using the telegraph equation approximation. The new approach provides improved recovery of absorption and scattering parameters while returning similar values for the fluorescence parameters.  相似文献

A novel, simple method is proposed to increase the frequency stability of an oscillator. An additional negative feedback is used in combination with the positive loop of the harmonic oscillator to decrease the phase sensitivity to fluctuations of parameters other than the resonator. The main advantage of the proposed correction approach is that it does not require expensive external elements such as mixers or resonators. The validity of the method is theoretically demonstrated on a Colpitts oscillator using the control system theory approach and numerical simulations, and is experimentally verified with phase noise measurements of an actual oscillator-mockup. It is shown that the medium-term frequency stability can be easily improved by a factor of ten.  相似文献

Zygosaccharomyces bailii is a commercially important spoilage yeast capable of growth at low pH in the presence of weak organic acid preservatives, such as benzoic acid. A patch-clamp electrophysiological analysis of plasma membrane K+ transport revealed a high conductance pathway for low-affinity K+ uptake. In contrast to the equivalent K+ transporter in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, this system remained operative at low extracellular pH and may therefore facilitate K+ uptake in K(+)-rich and acidic beverages. Benzoate inhibited growth, increased intracellular K+ content, yet decreased the magnitude of the K+ uptake conductance; specifically, the hyperpolarization-activated inwardly-rectifying component was reduced. It is proposed that this adaptation helps maintain a hyperpolarized membrane voltage to effect continued ATPase-mediated H+ extrusion and so combat preservative-induced cytosolic acidosis. Again in contrast to S. cerevisiae, the K+ conductance was relatively insensitive to increased extracellular Ca2+. Paradoxically (and unlike S. cerevisiae) increasing extracellular Ca2+ inhibited growth, suggesting a simple expedient to limit spoilage by Z. bailii.  相似文献

A numerical analysis of turbulent axisymmetric radial compressible channel flow between a nozzle and a flat plate is presented in this paper. In particular, the application of this type of flow situation in pneumatic dimensional control systems is considered. The Spalart-Allmaras one-equation turbulence model is used. The resulting highly coupled PDE system has been solved using the control volume based numerical approach where the power-law scheme was used extensively to compute the diffusive and convective fluxes of momentum. Results show that local Mach numbers can easily achieve and surpass unity for typical industrial configurations. Also, in the case of a standard industrial nozzle geometry, the presence of a toroidal recirculation zone that moves radially outward is clearly identified in most cases. Separated flow areas are of particular concern as it has been shown previously that they can cause nozzle fouling in industrial applications. It has been shown that the size of this region is dependant on feed pressure. Considerable differences between results obtained using the Spalart-Allmaras and standard k- εturbulence models have also been noticed.  相似文献
