The propagation of leaky forward magnetostatic (MS) volume waves along ferrite-loaded microstrip and slot lines is analyzed. This phenomenon is studied by means of a numerical approach based on the residue calculus technique because of its good numerical convergence and stability. The proposed method allows for a quick and accurate computation of the phase and attenuation constants of the leaky MS modes. A comparative analysis between both microstrip lines and slot lines is carried out, and some new physical effects, such as MS resonances in the radiation loss, are reported. The advantages of the proposed method of analysis over other numerical methods, such as Galerkin's or moment methods, are also discussed.  相似文献

A multiscale model of atherosclerotic plaque formation at its early stage has been developed in order to integrate the various phenomena leading to fatty streak formation. The different scales considered in this model are in both the spatial domain (from cellular to organism level) and the time domain (from seconds to months). The cellular level was considered by modeling the transport and chemical interactions of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and other agents in a stenosed artery. This was linked to arterial thickening (organ level). Mean blood LDL level (organism level) was selected as one of the critical factors for atherosclerotic formation along with wall shear stress (WSS) exerted on the endothelium (the inner portion of the artery). It was observed that plaque location was dependent on WSS and that plaque size, number, and growth was dependent on mean blood LDL levels as well.  相似文献

The DiffServ’s Assured Forwarding (af) Per-Hop Behavior (phb) Group defines a differentiated forwarding of packets in four independent classes, each class having three levels of drop precedence. Specific end-to-end services based on thisphb are still being defined. A particular type of service that could assure a given rate to a traffic aggregate has been outlined elsewhere. In such a service, a fair distribution of bandwidth is one of the main concerns. This paper presents experimental work carried out to evaluate howaf distributes bandwidth among flows under different load conditions and traffic patterns. We focused on the effect that marking mechanisms have on bandwidth sharing among flows within a singleaf class. The traffic types we used includeudp flows, individual and aggregatedtcp flows, mix oftcp andudp, tcp sessions with heterogeneous round-trip times, as well as color-blind and color-aware re-marking at the aggregation point fortcp flows. Tests were performed on real and simulated networks. We have found certain conditions under whichaf distributes bandwidth fairly among nonadaptiveudp flows andtcp aggregates. Finally, we evaluate a basic rule for setting the parameters of the two-rate Three-Color Marker conditioning algorithm (trtcm) in order to achieve a better bandwidth distribution fortcp flows.  相似文献

Using the colorant proteic complex labell with Tc-99 m. we visualize--by the first time--the carotideal glomus in the human in 6 volunteers and one patient with tumor. The results are very encorageous: the method was simple and safe (one single dose endovenously) and hardless (no radiotoxicity presents in 3 months of clinical and laboratory controls) and there is a good visualization by scan of carotideal bodies "in vivo", in human being. We think this new method and labell compound could be useful in research and medical diagnoses.  相似文献

The present study investigates the antioxidant mechanism of grape procyanidins and, in particular, their aptitude to establish redox interactions with two important components of the endogenous antioxidant system of muscle tissues, α-tocopherol (α-TOH) and ascorbic acid (AA). To this end, the progress of lipid oxidation was monitored in fish muscle supplemented with grape procyanidins at the concentrations usually employed in antioxidant food applications, and then related to the redox stability of the endogenous α-TOH and AA. In addition to the lipid oxidation protective effect, the incorporation of procyanidins also provided an improvement of the redox stability of the endogenous components in a straight procyanidinic concentration-dependent manner. Results showed the capacity of procyanidins to repair oxidised α-TOH at medium-long term, and to delay the AA depletion. Therefore, such cooperative redox interaction of exogenous procyanidins adequately complements the natural α-TOH regenerative system supplied by AA that is efficient at the early post mortem stages.  相似文献

The moderate consumption of red wine has been proposed to reduce the incidence of colorectal cancer. Its anti-cancer action my in part be mediated by the actions of polyphenols on colon cancer epithelial cells. We show that a red wine phenolic (50 μg/ml) extract devoid of anthocyanins (removed to reflect polyphenol bioavailability to the large intestine) and the major red wine flavonols quercetin, myricetin, laricitrin and syringetin (50 μM) are capable of inhibiting the proliferation of colorectal epithelial adenocarcinoma cells. This anti-proliferative activity was partly mediated by the direct cytotoxic actions of flavonols and also their ability to cause a significant cell cycle blockage in G2/M. The anti-proliferative effects induced by flavonols were preceded, in most cases, by a strong and significant reduction of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and cyclin D1 expression. These results indicate that the observed inverse correlation between colon cancer and a moderate red wine intake may be partly mediated by the actions of red wine flavonols on the growth of cancer cells.  相似文献

Food flavour, consisting of a large number of volatile compounds, has great influence on consumer acceptability and, when safety and nutritional value are guaranteed, sensory parameters become the discriminating factor in the product quality assessment which determines the differentiation on the market. The present work combines head space-solid phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography mass spectrometry techniques to analyse the volatile fraction of Italian durum wheat pasta. The aim was the optimization of an analytical method suitable to show possible differences in pasta flavour richness and identify compounds that could be used as food quality markers. Twenty-three odorants were identified and confirmed by comparing their mass spectra with those of 27 standard substances. The optimum conditions for extraction temperature and time, respectively, resulted from 70 °C and 90 min; the best recoveries were achieved with 10.5 g of sample. The developed method was applied for the relative quantitative analysis of different priced pasta to verify the technique capability to highlight possible quality differences.  相似文献
