The direct synthesis of three-dimensional (3-D) cubic V-KIT-6 was prepared using a Pluronic P123 triblock copolymer as the structure directing agent and n-butanol as the co-surfactant. The material obtained therein showed a very high specific surface area 1000 m2/g with pore diameters that could be tuned within a narrow size distribution of 5.7–6.0 nm. After calcination, Raman and UV–vis analysis revealed the presence of V5+ species in a highly dispersed state with much less crystalline V2O5 formation. 51V-NMR analysis showed that the vanadium species interacted directly with the silica framework in an almost symmetrical tetrahedral environment. NH3-TPD analysis for V-KIT-6 showed a wide distribution of acid sites at temperatures ranging from 200 to 800 °C. The calcined V-KIT-6 materials showed excellent catalytic activity in the direct oxidation of cyclohexane using dilute aqueous H2O2 as the oxidant.  相似文献

Conducting and electroactive polymer blends of polyaniline (PAni) with polyelectrolyte, poly(diallydimethylammoniumchloride) (PDDMAC) have been synthesized by an in situ polymerization method and the resulting composites have been characterized by FT-IR, UV–Vis, XRD, AFM and electrochemical techniques. The blends are conducting and electroactive with even lower loadings of PAni and can be cast as films. The conductivity of the cast films containing 0.04–1.5 wt% PAni ranged from 4.5 × 10−6 to 42 × 10−6 S/cm. Some of the composites are tested for their corrosion inhibition property for pure iron in 1 M HCl solutions and were found to be active inhibitors.  相似文献

Strong nonlinear absorption is observed in nanocomposite films containing PbS nanocrystals of mean size of 3.3?nm stabilized in a commercial poly(vinyl acetate) glue by a novel and simple chemical route of synthesis. A significant blueshift of the optical absorption edge indicates strong quantum confinement. The mean nanocrystal size was characterized by x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The surface structure of nanocrystals is analysed using infrared spectroscopy. The excitonic transitions are probed by photoacoustic spectroscopy and the results are analysed on the basis of theoretical calculations using envelope function formalism. Results of open aperture z-scan experiments suggest a model involving saturable absorption followed by two-photon absorption at a lower concentration while the data for a higher concentration fitted saturable absorption followed by three-photon absorption. Free carrier absorption due to two-photon-assisted excited state absorption appears to be the predominant mechanism of optical nonlinearity.  相似文献

This article deals with some techniques for analyzing ordered categorical data from industrial experiments for quality improvement. Taguchi's accumulation analysis method is shown to have reasonable power fordetecting important location effects; however, it is an unnecessarily complicated procedure. For detecting dispersion effects, it need not even be as powerful as Pearson's chi-squared test. Instead two simple and easy to use scoring schemes are suggested for identifying the location and dispersion effects separately. The techniques are illustrated on data from an experiment to optimize the process of forming contact windows in complementary metal-oxide semiconductor circuits.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Here we report a simple, one-pot, inexpensive, and eco-friendly method for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The leaf extract of a medicinal plant Nervalia zeylanica was used as reducing and stabilizing agent for the synthesis of nanoparticles by microwave-assisted strategy. The nanoparticles show characteristic surface plasmon peak at 468?nm in UV–vis absorption spectrum. The involvement of phytochemicals in the reduction and stabilization of nanoparticles was confirmed by FTIR analysis. Using X-ray diffraction analysis, the crystalline nature of the nanoparticles was demonstrated. Transmission electron microscopic analysis shows that the nanoparticles were in spherical shape with average particle size of 34.2?nm. The antioxidant studies were performed by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl method. The nanoparticles show excellent scavenging activities than the leaf extract. The IC50 values of silver nanoparticles and the leaf extract, respectively, were 15.20 and 92.83?µg?mL?1. The catalytic activities of synthesized nanoparticles were examined by using them in the reduction of organic dyes. The nanoparticles show excellent catalytic activities and follow pseudo-first-order kinetics. The antimicrobial activities of nanoparticles were analyzed by an agar well diffusion method against six microbial strains and found that the nanoparticles were highly toxic against all the tested microbial strains.  相似文献

In this article, we highlight the various properties of an ultralightweight poly(ether ketone) (PEK) composite. In this study, special emphases were laid on the preparation of low‐density, high‐performance polymeric foams with foaming agents and activators. PEK, foamed PEK, and carbon nanotube (CNT)–reinforced foamed PEK composites were considered for this study. The density of the polymer decreased with the reinforcement of the foaming agent. We also noted that with the reinforcement of the modified CNT in the foamed PEK, there were marginal increases in the density and hardness of the composites. We also noted that the mechanical properties of the CNT‐reinforced foamed PEK was on par with those of basic PEK. Thermogravimetric analysis gave us a clear indication that the thermal stability of the composites was not affected by the reinforcing foaming agent and nanoparticles. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy clearly indicated the formation of foams and also the dispersion of nanoparticles in the composite structure. We also observed that because of the reinforcement of multiwalled CNTs in the composite, there was an improvement in the hardness of the composite. An increase in the specific strength was observed in the foamed PEK composites. The CNT‐reinforced foamed PEK showed a marginal decrease in the specific strength without a compromise in the impact strength. Alpha amylases are hydrolytic enzymes that are widespread in nature, being found in animals, microorganisms, and plants. These enzymes hydrolyze starch molecules into reducing sugars. Alpha amylases from microbial sources have several applications in industrial sectors. This enzyme is an effective target for the development of anti‐fungal agents. The binding affinity and enzyme inhibitory properties of 6‐gingerol toward alpha amylase have been determined. Molecular modeling and docking has been carried out, in order to get the molecular level interactions. Enzyme inhibition studies proved that 6‐gingerol is a competitive inhibitor of fungal alpha amylase. It was inferred that 6‐gingerol is a potent natural inhibitor of alpha amylase.  相似文献

The paper reports synthesis of Ag-polyaniline nanocomposite and its evaluation as an active optical cladding on a planar optical waveguide (POW) as a humidity sensor with variable concentration of the composite. The nanocomposite is dispersed in acetonitrile, and spin coated on the planar waveguide to form a clad. The system shows response to humidity, when tested in the range of 20–92% relative humidity (RH). A prism film coupling is used to characterize the cladded waveguide. The maximum sensitivity is seen for 47% concentration of the nanocomposite in acetonitrile. The response and recovery of the sensor are 8 and 55 s respectively. The low hysteresis is exhibited by the sensor. The sensor has repeatability and reproducibility. Material characterization is done using Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Ultraviolet Spectroscopy (UV) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).  相似文献
