A PID controller is widely used to control industrial processes that are mostly open loop stable or unstable. Selection of proper feedback structure and controller tuning helps to improve the performance of the loop. In this paper a double-feedback loop/method is used to achieve stability and better performance of the process. The internal feedback is used for stabilizing the process and the outer loop is used for good setpoint tracking. An internal model controller (IMC) based PID method is used for tuning the outer loop controller. Autotuning based on relay feedback or the Ziegler-Nichols method can be used for tuning an inner loop controller. A tuning parameter (λ) that is used to tune IMC-PID is used as a time constant of a setpoint filter that is used for reducing the peak overshoot. The method has been tested successfully on many low order processes.  相似文献

Setpoint filters are widely used along with a PID controller. The aim of the present paper is to reduce the peak overshoot to a desired/tolerable limit. To design a setpoint filter, numerous methods are available, which need extensive calculations. Moreover, the existing methods need information regarding the process parameters, values of controller settings and are laborious. But the proposed method is very simple and requires only the information about the peak overshoot and peak time of the system response regardless of type and order of the system with arbitrary PID parameters. E-Commerce firms have adopted Web Personalization techniques extensively in the form of recommender systems for influencing user behavior for customer retention. Although there are numerous studies in this area, academic research addressing the role of Web Personalization in user acceptance of technology is very scant. Further, owing to the potential of recommender systems to attract and retain customers, most studies in web personalization have been done in E-Commerce setting. In this research, the ‘Consumer Acceptance and Use of Information Technology’ theory proposed in previous research has been extended to include web personalization as a moderator and has been tested in an E-Government context. Data collection involved conducting a laboratory experiment with the treatment group receiving personalized web forms for requesting an E-Government service. Our analyses show that personalizing the Web by self-reference and content relevance has a significant moderator role in influencing the relationship between determinants of intention to use and behavioral intention in certain cases.  相似文献

Electrical resistance tomography (ERT) is used to measure void fraction wave characteristics and to identify flow pattern in a bubble column reactor (0.24 m diameter, 2.75 m height). The effects of column pressure and superficial gas velocities for different sparger geometry and for different flow pattern have been investigated. The ERT sensor can distinguish the void fraction disturbances in different flow regimes with a good clarity. The holdup derived from ERT is in good agreement with the hold-up values measured by pressure transmitters. Different flow regimes have been identified based on void fraction properties and wall pressure fluctuations. The spectral analysis of ERT measurements yields quantitative information, such as a characteristic time and a characteristic frequency of void fraction waves, which are closely related to flow structure in the prevailing regime. The experimental observations are compared with the literature.  相似文献

Experimental studies, which have been carried out in this laboratory, showed the yield strength in tension, compression, and shear in the rubbery and the glassy states increased with increasing hydrostatic pressure. Moreover, the Young's modulus also increased with pressure and the amount of the increase across the glass transition temperature (T g) at a given pressure can be as large as three orders of magnitude in the case of elastomers. An extension of the Gibbs-Dimarzio theory is proposed to account for the effect of applied stress on the glass transition temeprature of glass-forming polymers. When a simple stress, such as tensile, compressive or shear stress, is applied to a polymer, the T g will decrease, compared to a polymer without applied stress. A glass-forming polymer in the vicinity of the transition would behave differently from that predicted by rubber elasticity. The partition function taking into account the effect of stress is suggested to be $$\Gamma = \Sigma W(f, n_0 ){\text{ }}\exp {\text{ }}[ - \beta (PV + U - \sigma V\varepsilon )]$$ where the strain ?=σ (f ? f 0) in which f and f 0 are the fraction of flexed bonds with and without stress, respectively. Furthermore, by this model, the Young's modulus across the transition, E L and E G, can be evaluated. The Young's modulus increases with increasing pressure at lower and moderate pressure range but the increase is rather small at very high pressure range.  相似文献

Requirements engineering (RE) is essential to succeed in software projects. That is, it is important to elicit sound requirements for proper performing of RE. If some requirements are inconsistent with a given objectives and constraints, these requirements may hinder the performance of RE. For this reason, it is necessary to pre-check the consistency of requirements. We propose the metrics for evaluating requirements by considering given objectives and constraints. Our metrics are validated by two sample scenarios: “Payroll and Roster Planning of Hospital” and “Noise Source Location System.” At the result, we expect that these metrics would be helpful when selecting a set of consistent requirements.  相似文献

We have developed a method of fixing, embedding, sectioning, and staining that allows high-resolution detection of myofibrillar structure and myosin immunocytochemical muscle fiber typing in serial semithin sections of LR White plastic embedded muscle at the light microscopic level. Traditional approaches, such as cryostat sections, permit fiber typing, but small myofibrillar lesions (1-3 sarcomeres) are difficult to detect because of section thickness. Semithin sections of hydrophobic resins do not stain well either histochemically or immunocytochemically. Electron microscopy can resolve lesions and discriminate fiber types based on morphology, but the sampling area is small. Our goal was to develop a rapid method for defining both fiber type and high-resolution primary myofibrillar lesion damage. Mild fixation (1-4% paraformaldehyde, 0. 05-0.1% glutaraldehyde) and embedment in a hydrophilic resin (LR White) were used. Myofibrillar structure was extremely well preserved at the light microscopic (LM) level, and lesions could be readily resolved in Toluidine blue stained 500-nm sections. Fiber type was defined by LM immunomyosin staining of serial plastic semithin sections, which demonstrated reciprocal staining patterns for "fast (Sigma M4276) and "total" (skeletal muscle) myosins (Sigma M7523).  相似文献

This paper discusses the synthesis of undoped ZnO, 2?mol% Dy doped ZnO, 2?mol% Er doped ZnO and 1?mol% Dy,Er co-doped ZnO nanoparticles by simple combustion technique and the characterization of their structural, morphological, magnetic and optical properties by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HRTEM), Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscope (DRS), Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) and Photoluminescence(PL). All samples are of hexagonal wurzite type structure which was found from XRD analysis. The effects of annealing on morphology and luminescence emission wavelengths were noticed in FESEM and PL, respectively. As-prepared sample displayed spherical morphology and annealed co-doped sample showed interwoven hexagonal stacking like morphology. VSM revealed the room temperature ferromagnetism in doped samples. The photoluminescence under the UV and IR excitations was observed in experiment. The as-prepared samples had violet region emission at the 325?nm excitation. The annealed samples had green region emission under the same excitation. Due to the annealing effect, the enhancement of upconversion luminescence intensity in co-doped sample in green (535?nm) and red (665?nm) regions was observed at the 980?nm excitation.  相似文献
