In pattern mining and association rule mining, there is a variety of algorithms for mining frequent closed itemsets (FCIs) and frequent generators (FGs), whereas a smaller part further involves the precedence relation between FCIs. The interplay of these three constructs and their joint computation have been studied within the formal concept analysis (FCA) field yet none of the proposed algorithms is scalable. In frequent pattern mining, at least one suite of efficient algorithms has been designed that exploits basically the same ideas and follows the same overall computational schema. Based on an in-depth analysis of the aforementioned interplay that is rooted in a fundamental duality from hypergraph theory, we propose a new schema that should enable for a more parsimonious computation. We exemplify the new schema in the design of Snow-Touch, a concrete FCI/FG/precedence miner that reuses an existing algorithm, Charm, for mining FCIs, and completes it with two original methods for mining FGs and precedence, respectively. The performance of Snow-Touch and of its closest competitor, Charm-L, were experimentally compared using a large variety of datasets. The outcome of the experimental study suggests that our method outperforms Charm-L on dense data while on sparse one the trend is reversed. Furthermore, we demonstrate the usefulness of our method and the new schema through an application to the analysis of a genome dataset. The initial results reported here confirm the capacity of the method to focus on significant associations.  相似文献

Pulmonary embolism is a life-threatening condition, which can result in respiratory insufficiency and death. Blood clots occluding branches of the pulmonary artery (PA) are traditionally considered to originate from thrombi in deep veins (usually in legs). However, growing evidence suggests that occlusion of the vessels in the lungs can develop without preceding deep vein thrombosis (DVT). In this work, we used an inferior vena cava (IVC) complete ligation model of DVT in Wistar rats to explore the possibility and mechanisms of PA thrombosis under the conditions where all routes of thrombotic mass migration from peripheral veins are blocked. We demonstrate that rats both with normal and reduced neutrophil counts developed thrombi in the IVC, although, neutropenia caused a substantial decrease in thrombus size and a shift from fresh fibrin toward mature fibrin and connective tissue inside the thrombus. Massive fibrin deposition was found in the PA branches in the majority of DVT rats with normal neutrophil counts, but in none of the neutropenic animals. Neutrophil ablation also abolished macroscopic signs of lung damage. Altogether, the results demonstrate that thrombi in the lung vasculature can form in situ by mechanisms that require local neutrophil recruitment taking place in the DVT setting.  相似文献

It has been experimentally demonstrated by Faugère that his F5 algorithm is the fastest algorithm for calculating Gröbner bases. Computational efficiency of F5 is due to not only applying linear algebra but also using the new F5 criterion for revealing useless zero reductions. At the ISSAC 2010 conference, Gao, Guan, and Volny presented G2V, a new version of the F5 algorithm, which is simpler than the original version of the algorithm. However, the incremental structure of G2V used in the algorithm for applying the F5 criterion is a serious obstacle from the point of view of application of Buchberger’s second criterion. In this paper, a modification of the G2V algorithm is presented, which makes it possible to use both Buchberger criteria. To experimentally study computational effect of the proposed modification, we implemented the modified algorithm in Maple. Results of comparison of G2V and its modified version on a number of test examples are presented.  相似文献

In this paper we present an electromagnetism (EM) metaheuristic for solving NP hard Maximum Betweenness Problem (MBP). A new encoding scheme with appropriate objective functions is implemented. Specific representation of the individuals enables the EM operators to explore the searching space in a way that achieves high quality solutions. An effective 1-swap based local search procedure improved by the specific caching technique is performed on each EM point. The algorithm is tested both on real and artificial instances from the literature. Experimental results show that the proposed EM approach achieves all previously known optimal solutions, except one, and achieves the best-known solutions or outperforms other approaches on all large-scale instances, except two. Provided statistical analysis indicates that the EM approach is significantly better than other approaches.  相似文献

Monolayer 2D MoS2 grown by chemical vapor deposition is nanopatterned into nanodots, nanorods, and hexagonal nanomesh using block copolymer (BCP) lithography. The detailed atomic structure and nanoscale geometry of the nanopatterned MoS2 show features down to 4 nm with nonfaceted etching profiles defined by the BCP mask. Atomic resolution annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy reveals the nanopatterned MoS2 has minimal large‐scale crystalline defects and enables the edge density to be measured for each nanoscale pattern geometry. Photoluminescence spectroscopy of nanodots, nanorods, and nanomesh areas shows strain‐dependent spectral shifts up to 15 nm, as well as reduction in the PL efficiency as the edge density increases. Raman spectroscopy shows mode stiffening, confirming the release of strain when it is nanopatterned by BCP lithography. These results show that small nanodots (≈19 nm) of MoS2 2D monolayers still exhibit strong direct band gap photoluminescence (PL), but have PL quenching compared to pristine material from the edge states. This information provides important insights into the structure–PL property correlations of sub‐20 nm MoS2 structures that have potential in future applications of 2D electronics, optoelectronics, and photonics.  相似文献

This paper investigates data compression methods for time-of-flight (TOF) positron emission tomography (PET), which rebin the 3-D TOF measurements into a set of 2-D TOF data for a stack of transaxial slices. The goal of this work is to develop rebinning algorithms that are more accurate than the TOF single-slice-rebinning (TOF-SSRB) method proposed by Mullani in 1982. Two approaches are explored. The first one is based on a partial differential equation, which expresses a consistency condition for TOF-PET data with a Gaussian TOF profile. From this equation we derive an analytical rebinning algorithm, which is unbiased in the limit of continuous sampling. The second approach is discrete: each 2-D rebinned data sample is calculated as a linear combination of the 3-D TOF samples in the same axial plane parallel to the axis of the scanner. The coefficients of the linear combination are precomputed by optimizing a cost function which enforces both accuracy and good variance reduction, models the TOF profile, the axial PSF of the LORs, and the specific sampling scheme of the scanner. Measurements of a thorax phantom on a prototype TOF-PET scanner with a resolution of 550 ps show that the proposed discrete method improves the bias-variance trade-off and is a promising alternative to TOF-SSRB when data compression is required to achieve clinically acceptable reconstruction time.  相似文献

Currently, due to reduction of oil reservoirs and the increasing need for oil as the main source for world energy, the need for production of heavy oil reservoirs is inevitable. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of some operational and reservoir parameters and their impact on thermal and productive efficiency of thermal process of steam injection and quality of crude oil. In order to model the process, Eclipse-300 simulator was employed. Detection of these parameters, in addition to determining the best production scenario, can lead to the use of this method with better economic conditions. Hence, the results obtained from this study show that the optimal values obtained for operational parameters of stream injection such as steam quality, steam injection pressure, injection rate and well completion injection depth. The simulation results show that the use of optimal values of steam injection parameters can enhance efficiency of steam injection method and can make this method considered as third EOR method in heavy oil reservoirs than previously known in the petroleum industry.  相似文献

Interfacial tension and contact angle are two specific important parameters to take decisions for enhanced oil recovery, for instance, proper chemicals to use for surface tension reduction, expected wettability of solids, interaction between crude oil and rock. For this purpose, the article presents a method for easy calculation of the solid-liquid interfacial tension based on contact angle measurements applying Neumann's correlation and Young's equation. The main idea stands on the calculation of the rock parameters, like wettability, with known substances and extend these results to crude oils. It was possible, based on the results obtained, to establish a relationship between solid-liquid interfacial tension and contact angle for the crude oil – rock system, which can definitively be used for the calculation of interfacial tension of any other fluid spread out on the same kind of rock. A linear regression was obtained with an accuracy as good as R2 = 0.9989. Viscosity as a function of contact angle could also be obtained for the studied crude oils in the same kind of rock.  相似文献
