As the feature size of integrated circuits is driven to smaller dimensions the importance of the inter- and intralayer isolator capacitance in future metallization schemes becomes more pronounced. Organic polymers with low dielectric constants are one class of material choice for the replacement of SiO2. However, their successful integration into functional circuits requires new fabrication procedures. The embedded dielectric scheme offers an evolutionary path for their successful integration into a subtractive etched, aluminum-based integrated circuit. This scheme can effectively lower the total capacitance while minimally changing the rest of the metallization fabrication process. However, the non-conformal deposition of spin-on polymers requires an effective planarization process. Therefore, this paper focuses on the planarization capability of a chemical mechanical polishing process (CMP) using SiLK resin as the interlayer dielectric material. The experimental results demonstrate the high planarization capability of the CMP process using a commercially available slurry. The post-CMP degree of planarization is greater than 95% for all feature dimensions and this planarity can be achieved rapidly. SiLK dielectric coatings are therefore considered as a promising candidate to replace SiO2 in existing Al/W-based technologies.  相似文献

We present a detailed study of the MOVPE growth of 800 nm diode laser structures based on the combination of a GaAsP quantum well with well-established AlGaAs waveguide structures. By optimizing the strain and thickness of the quantum well highly-reliable diode lasers with low threshold current and high efficiency were demonstrated. 100 μm aperture “broad area” devices mounted epi-side up achieve a CW output power of 8.9 W with a wall-plug efficiency of 50%. These output powers represent record values for diode lasers in this wavelength range. Reliability measurements at 1.5 W and 50°C ambient temperature suggest lifetimes >10 000 h.  相似文献

In this paper specifics of the research subject within the natural sciences and humanities are supposed to be well-known. These specifics set limits to communication between scholars and natural scientists. In particular this leads to critical situations in cases if both participants have to collaborate within a common interdisciplinary research work. The modern conception of complex system as subject of investigation for both natural sciences and humanities have in this context an integrating function. The term ‘complex system’ is now recognized as a transdisciplinary matter of research. Despite of the well-known differences between two fields of modern science one can find on this condition a number of mechanisms which are generating also common properties of them. The astrocytic endfoot membranes of the healthy blood-brain barrier—contacting the capillary—are covered with a large number of the water channel aquaporin 4 (AQP4). They form orthogonal arrays of particles (OAPs), which consist of AQP4 isoform M1 and M23. Under pathologic conditions, AQP4 is distributed over the whole cell and no or only small OAPs are found. From cell culture experiments, it is known that cells transfected only with AQP4-M1 do not form OAPs or only small ones. We hypothesized that in astrocytomas the situation may be comparable to the in vitro experiments expecting an upregulation of AQP4-M1. Quantitative Real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) of different graded astrocytomas revealed an upregulation of both isoforms AQP4 M1 and M23 in all astrocytomas investigated. In freeze fracture replicas of low-grade malignancy astrocytomas, more OAPs than in high-grade malignancy astrocytomas were found. In vitro, cultured glioma cells did not express AQP4, whereas healthy astrocytes revealed a slight upregulation of both isoforms and only a few OAPs in freeze fracture analysis. Taken together, we found a correlation between the decrease of OAPs and increasing grade of malignancy of astrocytomas but this was not consistent with an upregulation of AQP4-M1 in relation to AQP4 M23.  相似文献

The thermally initiated thiol-ene emulsion polymerization of diallyl phthalate (DAP) diene and ethylenedioxy diethanthiol (EDDT) dithiol monomers in batch and semibatch emulsion polymerization is investigated. The batch process leads to larger and broader particle sizes than when the polymerization is carried out in semibatch. The evolution of the particle size and the final particle size distribution indicate that the stability of the latexes is limited and, hence, aggregation phenomena occurred in both processes. In particular, the evolution of the particle size distribution (PSD) in the semibatch process indicates nucleation, growth, and aggregation occurring simultaneously that produced a bimodal particle size. When the diene monomer was changed to diallyl terephthalate (DATP), the semibatch polymerization yielded smaller particles and narrow distribution without any indication of aggregation. The partial substitution of the dithiol by a trithiol monomer that is substantially more water insoluble affected nucleation of the particles, yielding for both systems smaller particles. The polythioether polymers synthesized present low glass transition temperatures (~ −30/−40°C) and those containing the therephthalate yield crystalline films. The potential application of the polymers as pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) was preliminarily assessed.  相似文献

Dumbbell-shaped systems based on PAHs-BODIPY-triarylamine hybrids TM-(01-04) are designed as novel and highly efficient hole-transporting materials for usage in planar inverted perovskite solar cells. BODIPY is employed as a bridge between the PAH units, and the effects of the conjugated π-system's covalent attachment and size are investigated. Fluorescence quenching, 3D fluorescence heat maps, and theoretical studies support energy transfer within the moieties. The systems are extremely resistant to UVC 254 nm germicidal light sources and present remarkable thermal stability at degradation temperatures exceeding 350 °C. Integrating these systems into perovskite solar cells results in outstanding power conversion efficiency (PCE), with TM-02-based devices exhibiting a PCE of 20.26%. The devices base on TM-01, TM-03, and TM-04 achieve PCE values of 16.98%, 17.58%, and 18.80%, respectively. The long-term stability of these devices is measured for 600 h, with initial efficiency retention between 94% and 86%. The TM-04-based device presents noticeable stability of 94%, better than the reference polymer PTAA with 91%. These findings highlight the exciting potential of dumbbell-shaped systems based on PAHs-BODIPY-triarylamine derivatives for next-generation photovoltaics.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To identify antigen(s) among purified deglycosylated aggrecan peptides spanning the chondroitin sulphate domain that may be responsible for the initiation or perpetuation of the autoimmune responses in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). METHODS: Aggrecan was purified from human articular cartilage and deglycosylated with either bacterial glycosidases or trifluoromethanesulphonic acid (TFMS). Twelve overlapping peptides (15 residues) spanning the chondroitin sulphate domain with N-terminal residues offset by three amino acids were synthesised. T cell responses to these antigens in RA patients and age matched controls were assessed in vitro by antigen specific T cell proliferation assays. RESULTS: Enzymically deglycosylated aggrecan (EDA) stimulated proliferation of T cells isolated from the peripheral blood in a greater proportion of patients with RA than controls. In a subset (12.5%) of RA patients, the magnitude of stimulation lay outside the control range. T cell proliferative responses to TFMS treated aggrecan were greater than, but well correlated with, responses to EDA. T cells from 15 patients were also stimulated with the pooled synthetic peptides. Four of seven patients who demonstrated T cell reactivity to EDA (seven of 15) also showed enhanced T cell proliferation to synthetic peptides. CONCLUSION: These data suggest that an autoantigenic T cell epitope may lie within the chondroitin sulphate domain of aggrecan.  相似文献

Examined the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Reasons for Living Inventory (RFL; M. M. Linehan et al; see record 1983-20123-001) in a sample of college students with a range of suicidal ideation and behaviors. An exploratory factor analysis of the 48-item RFL extracted 6 factors, similar to those described by Linehan et al. All coefficients alpha and item–subscale correlations were adequate. Additional nonclinical normative data are presented. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) identified 3 significant discriminant functions for group separation. Correlational analyses provided information about the relationships between the RFL and other self-report measures of suicide risk and general psychopathology. Three RFL subscales were useful in predicting suicide risk and general psychopathology. Limitations and future research issues are discussed.
