彩色PDP用玻璃基板

本文讨论了彩色ＰＤＰ现用钠钙玻璃的热稳定性，指出由于这种玻璃在热处理过程中易变形和收缩，因而不适合作大面积彩色ＰＤＰ基板材料，介绍了彩色ＰＤＰ基板玻璃的制造方法和特点。最后介绍了日本旭硝子公司和美国康宁公司各自为彩色ＰＤＰ新开发的玻璃基板材料ＰＤ２００和ＣＳ２５。     

高温超导研究的新进展

本文简要回顾了一年来高温超导的新进展，特别介绍和讨论了新型高温超导体系和线材、带材、块材及薄膜应用的发展情况。     

强度调制／直接检测（IM／DD）光纤通信系统色散限制的研究

通过引入归一化脉宽Ｐ和相对脉冲展宽因子ｑ，提出了一个适用于ＩＭ／ＤＤ系统中各种眼图恶化量ｘ和归一化脉宽Ｐ的色散限制改进公式。通过与其它理论的比较、计算机仿真和对实验数据的分析，验证了该公式的正确性，并给出了其它结果的限制条件。研究表明：当眼图恶化量ｘ为１ｄＢ左右时，对２．５Ｇｂ／；外调制信号（α＝０）而言，非色散位移光纤ＩＭ／ＤＤ系统的色散因子γ约等于０．７９，所对应的系统再生中继距离约为９００余公里。     

Recent developments in the extrusion of helical gears

With an improved die, a method for manufacturing gears by means of tube extrusion has been developed to a stage where, without noticeable wear of the die, 40,000 workpieces can be manufactured. The paper presents a numerical analysis of the stresses and deflection of the die, offering also a comparison between the modified and the conventional symmetric orifice. Based on the results obtained and using recent work on crack prediction for extrusion dies, the area most prone to rupture is determined. Moreover, a concept for the precorrection of the die is offered to improve the tooth quality of the gears.     

Improving communication energy efficiency in wireless networks powered by Renewable energy sources

Energy efficiency is an important issue in wireless networks where the nodes are powered by batteries. In this work, we analyze the energy consumption in one-transmitter-multiple-receiver communication and develop scheduling schemes to improve energy efficiency at the transmitter. Our focus is on systems powered by a renewable energy source such as solar power. We consider an environment where both energy and time to access the wireless channel and transmit data are limited, and data destined for different receivers have different values and incur different energy costs. We present optimal scheduling algorithms that selectively transmit data at calculated rates so that the throughput or the total transmission value is maximized under given time limits and energy constraints.

PMD Measurement of Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fiber by Investigating Power Penalty of Optically Generated Microwave Signals

A simple method based on carrier suppression modulation for measuring first-order polarization-mode dispersion of hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber (HC-PBGF) is proposed and investigated. By adjusting the incident optical wavelength and measuring the power penalty of optically generated microwave signals, the wavelength-dependent differential group delay (DGD) in HC-PBGF can be obtained. Moreover, this proposed method is chromatic-dispersion-insensitive. The experimental results indicate that a segment of 20-m HC-PBGF exhibits highly birefringent DGD of 25, 59, and 84 ps with measurement error less than 2 ps for the incident optical wavelength of 1560, 1575, and 1580 nm, respectively

聚苯乙烯溴代并接技聚二甲基硅氧烷

聚苯乙烯（PS）在苯溶液中与溴代丁二酰亚胺（NBS）反应，经分离提纯得到了固体溴代聚苯乙烯（PSB）。将所得PSB溶于苯并与低分子量的聚二甲基硅氧烷硅醇锂（PDMSOLi）反应，经分离提纯得到固体的溴代聚苯乙烯接枝聚二甲基硅氧烷（PSB－g-PDMSO),所得PSB-g-PDMSO的结构经^1H-NMR、IR及TEM表征。
