In order to improve fault detection (FD) performance, integrated design of residual generation and evaluation is investigated in this paper for trade‐offs between fault detection rate and false alarm rate (FAR). A set‐membership approach is proposed in residual evaluation by adopting a threshold ellipsoid, which enables more design freedom than a conventional threshold value. With the set‐based definitions of fault detection rate and FAR, the integrated design problem is formulated by maximizing the FD performance under a predefined FAR. The joint optimal selection of a residual generator and a threshold ellipsoid is equivalently transformed into a simplified optimization problem of determining an optimal threshold ellipsoid for any given residual generator. A suboptimal solution for the set‐membership‐based integrated FD system design is obtained based on approximated computation of the FD performance. In this study, interface shapes of horizontal oil–water two-phase flow are predicted by using Young-Laplace equation model and minimum energy model. Meanwhile, the interface shapes of horizontal oil–water twophase flow in a 20 mm inner diameter pipe are measured by a novel conductance parallel-wire array probe(CPAP). It is found that, for flow conditions with low water holdup, there is a large deviation between the model-predicted interface shape and the experimentally measured one. Since the variation of pipe wetting characteristics in the process of fluid flow can lead to the changes of the contact angle between the fluid and the pipe wall, the models mentioned above are modified by considering dynamic contact angle. The results indicate that the interface shapes predicted by the modified models present a good consistence with the ones measured by CPAP. 相似文献

Joining of SiC ceramics was successfully achieved at a relatively low temperature of 1500 °C without any pressure using pure polycarbosilane (PCS) as the joining material, which was distributed homogenously on the surface of SiC monolith through a screen printing method. The XRD pattern shows that the pyrolysis product of PCS is single-phase SiC. The interlayer thickness of the SiC joint is approximately 2 μm. This ultra-thin interlayer with lower possibility of the existence of defects contributes to the average shear strength of 105.8 ± 10.4 MPa, higher than that of other works using other preceramic polymers to the best of our knowledge. Due to the simplicity, low cost and high joining strength, the screen printing method using PCS as the joining material has good practicality in SiC ceramics joining. 相似文献

The water-inrush mechanism of strong water-guide collapse column in coal seam is studied based on the establishment of geological and mathematical models of "triangle" water-inrush mode. The geological background of Shuangliu mine is considered a prototype, similar simulation tests are adopted to analyze the water-inrush rules under this model, and the formation of water-guide channel and water-inrush process is investigated by examining the changes in rock resistivity. This work also uses the coupled cloud image derived from numerical simulation software to verify the results of simulation test. Results show that the numerical simulation of "triangle" water-inrush mode is consistent with the similar simulation. The "triangle" seepage area, which is located at the bottom of collapse columns and is connected to aquifer, is caused by the altered seepage direction and strengthened seepage actions after the overlapping of hydraulic transverse seepage in collapse column and hydraulic vertical seepage flow in aquifer. Under "triangle"water-inrush model, water-guide channel is formed by the communication between plastic failure zone of working face baseplate and"triangular" seepage area. Accordingly, the threatening water-inrush distance between working face and collapse column increases by 20 m compared with that of theoretical calculation. 相似文献

An acrylate‐modified tung‐oil waterborne insulation varnish was synthesized from tung oil, maleic anhydride, and acrylates via a Diels–Alder reaction and free‐radical polymerization, and the varnish could be solidified at a relatively low temperature with blocked hexamethylene diisocyanate as a curing agent. The resulting films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. The insulation properties (electrical insulation strength, volume resistivity, and surface resistivity) of the varnish films were tested, and the resistances of films to salted water were evaluated. With an increase in the maleic anhydride content, the thermal stability of the film was improved, whereas the electrical insulation strength, volume resistivity, and surface resistivity decreased. The electrical insulation strength of the film after it was immersed in the NaCl solution was lower than that in dry state, and it decreased as the immersed time was prolonged. In particular, the electrical insulation strength loss of the film increased significantly at maleic anhydride contents beyond 25 wt %. Furthermore, the hardness of the film increased with increasing methyl methacrylate/N‐butyl acrylate ratio, whereas the flexibility and adhesion of film decreased to a certain degree at the same time. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
