平衡纵剖面数值试验及其对防洪的影响研究

本文采用一维非恒定流非均匀沙的水沙数学模型，以长江中游螺山汉口河段为背景，进行了根化数值模拟试验，分析了该概化河段平衡纵剖面的变化规律及其与上游来水来沙条件的关系，并和相应的理论公式进行了比较。在此基础上，对水沙条件发生较在变化时的平衡纵比降以及带来的对长江中下游防洪的影响进行了分析。     

A general approach for the stability analysis of the time-domain finite-element method for electromagnetic simulations

This paper presents a general approach for the stability analysis of the time-domain finite-element method (TDFEM) for electromagnetic simulations. Derived from the discrete system analysis, the approach determines the stability by analyzing the root-locus map of a characteristic equation and evaluating the spectral radius of the finite element system matrix. The approach is applicable to the TDFEM simulation involving dispersive media and to various temporal discretization schemes such as the central difference, forward difference, backward difference, and Newmark methods. It is shown that the stability of the TDFEM is determined by the material property and by the temporal and spatial discretization schemes. The proposed approach is applied to a variety of TDFEM schemes, which include: (1) time-domain finite-element modeling of dispersive media; (2) time-domain finite element-boundary integral method; (3) higher order TDFEM; and (4) orthogonal TDFEM. Numerical results demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach for stability analysis.

通过对典型振冲挤密法施工方法的研究，分析了该方法的加固机理，指出它可提高地基承载力、减少沉降和不均匀沉降，且能达到地基抗地震、抗液化能力的效果。     

回火处理对高碳冷拔钢丝强度和塑性的影响

研究了６５钢冷拔钢丝在５００℃不同时间回火时的抗拉强度和延伸率的变化。试验结果发现，在回火初期，抗拉强度首先增长，然后随口火时间的延长连续降低，而延伸率始终在增长，增长速度是先快后慢。这种行为可归因于第一内应力的消除和ε－碳化物在形变铁素体中的析出以及后来再结晶的发生。

Do We Stand on Common Ground? A Threat Appraisal Model for Terror Alerts Issued by the Department of Homeland Security

The fabric and faces of threat, and the expediency and efficiency in the communication of threat, are examined with a threat appraisal model. This model is empirically tested on an ongoing communication challenge, the issuance of terror alerts by the United States' Department of Homeland Security (DHS), focusing on how threat is appraised by both the conservative and liberal audiences. Findings showed a shared view by the DHS and conservative audiences on the levels and nature of threats; liberal audiences thought otherwise. Though there appeared to be a consensus between the conservative and liberal audiences on the efficacy of threat communication, more internal consistency within DHS is needed to optimise its effectiveness.
