The influence of pulsed electric field (PEF) and subsequent centrifugal osmotic dehydration (OD) on the convective drying behavior of carrot is investigated. The PEF was carried out at an intensity of E = 0.60 kV/cm and a treatment duration of tPEF = 50 ms. The following centrifugal OD was performed in a sucrose solution of 65% (w/w) at 40°C for 0, 1, 2, or 4 h under 2400 × g. The drying was performed after the centrifugal OD for temperatures 40-60°C and at constant air rate (6 m3/h).

With the increase of OD duration the air drying time is reduced spectacularly. The dimensionless moisture ratio Xr = 0.1 is reached for PEF-untreated carrots after 370 min of air drying at 60°C in absence of centrifugal OD against 90 min of air drying after the 240 min of centrifugal OD. The PEF treatment reduces additionally the air drying time. The total time of dehydration operations can be shortened when OD time is optimized. For instance, the minimal time required to dehydrate untreated carrots until Xr = 0.1 is 260 min (120 min of OD at 40°C and 140 min of drying at 60°C). It is reduced to 230 min with PEF-treated carrots.

The moisture effective diffusivity Deff is calculated for the convective air drying based on Fick's law. The centrifugal OD pretreatment increases drastically the value of Deff. For instance, 4 h of centrifugal OD permitted increasing the value of Deff from 0.93 · 10-9 to 3.85 · 10-9 m2/s for untreated carrots and from 1.17 · 10-9 to 5.10 · 10-9 m2/s for PEF-treated carrots.  相似文献

The effects of pulsed electric fields (PEF) and osmotic impregnation in glycerol solution on the amount of unfreezable water in apple were determined by means of low-temperature differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The obtained data were compared with behaviour of pure water–glycerol solutions (sample WG). PEF treatment was applied using a near-rectangular monopolar generator with pulse duration of 100 μs at electric field strength of 800 V/cm. The osmotic impregnation of PEF-treated apple discs was done using water–glycerol (sample AWG) and apple juice–glycerol (sample AJG) osmotic solutions at different concentration of water or juice in glycerol, W = 30–100 wt%. The data evidenced that for the PEF-treated samples the glycerol was able to penetrate successfully inside apple tissue. The state diagrams for WG, AWG and AJG samples were rather similar. It was observed that free water existed only for moisture content above some minimum value. The unfreezable water content was the largest in AJG, followed by WG and AWG. The juice concentration in glycerol W ≈ 80 wt% was found to be optimal for preservation of the texture of PEF-treated samples.  相似文献

BaTiO3 ferroelectric films were grown on Si/SiO2/Ti/Pt/Au/Pt templates at different temperatures in the range 560-680 °C by pulsed laser deposition. Cross section scanning electron microscopy images and atomic force microscopy surface morphology analysis reveal films with columnar structure and in-plane grain size distribution, in the range 10-60 nm, depending on growth temperature. Low-field dielectric measurements were performed as functions of temperature in the range 40-500 K and external dc field up to 400 kV/cm. The apparent permittivity of ferroelectric films grown at 680 °C shows Curie-Weiss behavior above 400 K with Curie temperature and Curie-Weiss constant 240 K and 1 · 105 K, respectively. The films grown at lower temperatures reveal a decrease of Curie temperature down to − 80 K, reduced values of apparent permittivity and loss tangent, and broadening of maximum of temperature dependence of apparent permittivity. The film grown at 590 °C demonstrates state of the art combination of temperature stability (temperature coefficient of apparent permittivity 300 ppm/K in the range 50-350 K), high tunability of apparent permittivity (up to 60% at room temperature), and relatively low loss tangent (less than 0.05 in the frequency range up to 10 GHz). The change in apparent permittivity and its temperature dependence, with variation of growth temperature are analyzed using two different composite models. The first model assumes the film to be a composite with vertical inclusions of low permittivity dielectric material associated with grain boundaries. This model may explain the observed decrease of permittivity with decreasing growth temperature, but not the shift of Curie temperature. The second model assumes a layered type of composite with low permittivity material associated with the film/electrode interfaces, and allows explanation of the Curie temperature shift.  相似文献

电弧热丝变极性等离子弧(arcing-VPPA)对传热与传质的可靠控制使其在电弧增材制造方面拥有独特的优点。针对单道多层铝合金堆砌试样,利用二次通用旋转组合方法针对性地设计了单壁墙试验样本,通过多次回归方程建立了单壁墙成型尺寸与工艺参数之间关系的数学模型。结果表明,模型能够较好地预测单壁墙的熔敷尺寸,真实值与拟合值基本一致。同时发现,等离子电流、行走速度、送丝速度对层高的影响较为明显,且等离子电流与焊接速度对层高的影响存在交互作用;而对熔宽影响较明显的是等离子电流、变极性脉冲MIG电流以及焊接速度。同时分析了增材成型熔宽尺寸稳定性控制策略,发现等离子电流以等差数列排序的控制方案在增材宽度的稳定性控制上具有明显优势。  相似文献

An experimental model of a solar hybrid system including photovoltaic (PV) module, concentrating Fresnel lens, thermoelectric generator (TEG), and running water heat extracting unit was created and studied. The PV module used was of c‐Si and TEG of Bi2Te3; the Fresnel lens (solar concentrator) and TEG share an optical train, whereas PV module was illuminated separately with non‐concentrated light. Heat extracting unit operated in thermo siphon mode. In climatic conditions of Mexico (Queretaro, 20o of North latitude, summer time), the Fresnel lens accepted 120 W of solar radiation power, and the system generated 7.0 W of electric power and 30 W of thermal one. Electric energy production with photovoltaic (PV)/thermal solar hybrid systems can be enhanced with the employment of a bifacial PV module. Experimental model of a PV/thermal hybrid system with such a module was constructed and studied. To make use of both active surfaces of the bifacial PV module, we designed and made an original water-heating planar collector and a set of reflecting planes. The heat collector was transparent in the visible and near-infrared spectral regions, which makes it compatible with the PV module made of crystalline Si. The estimated overall solar energy utilization efficiency for the system related to the direct radiation flux is of the order of 60%, with an electric efficiency of 16.4%.  相似文献

Data are presented on the coloring conditions, colored layer parameters, and color characteristics of stainless steel 304 samples treated in an electrolytic cell (60 Hz, 100 mV) using a mixture of 5 M sulfuric acid and 2.5 M chromic acid. Reflectance spectra indicate that the samples have high-purity color mainly in the yellow region and that the color is due to interference oscillations in the visible range. In addition, reflectance data in conjunction with composition-depth profiles obtained using glow discharge spectrometry indicate that the coloration of the samples is due not only to reflectance oscillations but also to the subtraction effect. The reduced Fe content and significant oxygen content in the near-surface region attest to the formation of a mixed oxide layer. Atomic-force microscopy examination indicates that the sample surface has an island structure.  相似文献
