In this paper, a streamline display method for magnetic flux density and magnetic field strength vectors in a three-phase induction motor model core is presented, and the relationship between streamlines and magnetic properties is investigated. It is possible to visualize the vector magnetic properties distribution by representing the magnetic flux density and the magnetic field strength vector with the streamlines. In addition, the time variation of the streamlines of the magnetic flux density and magnetic field strength vectors, and magnetic energy was compared. It was clear that the magnetic energy did not necessarily increase in the areas where the magnetic flux density and magnetic field strength increased because these vectors have the spatial phase difference.  相似文献

We have discussed the restoration mechanism of the spontaneous symmetry breaking, C 2 spatial symmetry breaking mechanism, and spin glass-like mechanism in high- T c cuprates from the standpoint of field-theoretical formula. It is suggested strongly that quantized massive gauge fields, which contain effects of spin fluctuations, charge fluctuations, and phonons, might be mediating Cooper pairing in high- T c cuprates.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to assess the speech discrimination ability of postlingually deaf adults implanted with the Combi 40 cochlear implant and to compare the results with the postoperative data published for other devices. The postoperative open and closed set speech perception performance of 21 consecutive patients was tested using a standardized test battery comprising a number, monosyllable, sentence, consonant and vowel discrimination test as well as a rhyme test in the sound only condition. Mean values achieved for each test 1, 6 and 12 months after "switch on" were evaluated. The results demonstrate that all patients have a substantial benefit from their implant and show a continuous improvement in their speech perception abilities with increased device experience. The mean percentages of correct answers after 12 months were 93.4 for numbers, 44.6 for monosyllables, 78.5 for sentences, 67.6 for the rhyme test, 59.8 for vowel, and 67.3 for consonant discrimination. Preoperatively, the mean discrimination score for monosyllables was 0%. The speech discrimination scores of our patients were similar or higher than described for similar patient groups implanted with other devices. The high stimulation rate of the implant system using the continuous interleaved speech processing strategy as well as a deep atraumatic electrode insertion into the apicalmost regions of the scala tympani may be the reason for good performance.  相似文献

The authors recently proposed a promising technique for producing monodisperse emulsions using a straight-through microchannel (MC) device composed of an array of microfabricated oblong holes. This research developed new straight-through MC devices with tens of thousands of oblong channels of several microns in size on a silicon-on-insulator plate, and investigated the emulsification characteristics using the microfabricated straight-through MC devices. Monodisperse oil-in-water (O/W) and W/O emulsions with average droplet diameters of 4.4–9.8 μm and coefficients of variation of less than 6% were stably produced using surface-treated straight-through MC devices that included uniformly sized oblong channels with equivalent diameters of 1.7–5.4 μm. The droplet size of the resultant emulsions depended greatly on the size of the preceding oblong channels. The emulsification process using the straight-through MC devices developed in this research had very high apparent energy efficiencies of 47–60%, defined as (actual energy input applied to droplet generation/theoretical minimum energy input necessary for making droplets) × 100. Straight-through MC devices with numerous oblong microfluidic channels also have great potential for increasing the productivity of monodisperse fine emulsions.  相似文献

Inhomogeneities in semiconductor solids can be imaged by two-dimensional mapping of the amplitude of periodically modulated tip current in scanning tunneling microscopy that is induced by illumination of semiconductor samples with a chopped light. It has been shown that it is possible to distinguish between plural origins of the photo-modulated current by analyzing the response properties of the current signal. A judicial choice of the modulation frequency is important for the required contrasts to be obtained.  相似文献

Effects of superposition of a low-frequency (0.1 to 50 Hz) voltage and a high-frequency 2 kHz voltage on the growth of water trees in polyethylene are examined. It has become clear that both the number of total voltage zero-crossings during the whole voltage application period and the number of consecutive voltage zero-crossings in the instant of the polarity reversal of the low-frequency voltage play important roles in the length and shape of water trees. Namely, the water tree length becomes longer as the number of total zero-crossings increases. Furthermore, among the voltages with the same number of total zero-crossings, the length becomes even longer with a prolonged shape in the direction of electric field as the number of consecutive zero-crossings increases. Effects of superposition of a high-frequency voltage onto a dc voltage are also examined. In this case, the dc voltage seems not to have any influence to the tree growth. By assuming the presence of space charge around the water-tree tip, the effective zero-crossings become only sensitive to the high-frequency component. Therefore, this result also indicates that the number of voltage reversals at the tree tip plays a crucial role in the growth of water trees.  相似文献

This paper presents design of linear bipolar OTAs, which are composed of two function blocks; one is an exponential‐law circuit and the other is a core cell. Multi‐tanh cells are employed as the core cell. This kind of OTA has lower power dissipation relatively to the conventional multi‐tanh cell. According as the order of the multi‐tanh core cell becomes higher, the number of circuit realization for the core cell increases. For example, we have two OTAs for the core circuit of an emitter‐coupled pair and four OTAs for the doublet core cell. Thus, we consider the generalized OTAs for an arbitrary order n of the core cell and obtain a formula to give the realization number of the linear OTAs for n. According to the formula, there must be eight OTAs in the case of n=3. All of the eight OTAs are examined. Analysis and simulation results show that the OTAs have advantage in their characteristics, such as linear input range, power dissipation, noise, and frequency response. The Ser-beta 174 residue of the Escherichia coli H(+)-ATPase beta subunit has been shown to be near the catalytic site together with Gly-beta 149, Gly-beta 172, Glu-beta 192, and Val-beta 198 (Iwamoto, A., Park, M.-Y., Maeda, M., and Futai, M. (1993) J. Biol. Chem. 268, 3156-3160). In this study, we introduced various residues at position 174 and found that the larger the side chain volume of the residue introduced, the lower the enzyme activity became. The Phe-beta 174 mutant was defective in energy coupling between catalysis and transport, whereas the Leu-beta 174 mutant could couple efficiently, although both mutants had essentially the same ATPase activities (approximately 10% of the wild type). The defective energy coupling of the Phe-beta 174 mutant was suppressed by the second mutation (Arg-alpha 296-->Cys) in the alpha subunit. The Cys-alpha 296/Phe-beta 174 mutant had essentially the same membrane ATPase activity as the Phe-beta 174 single mutant when assayed under the conditions that stabilize the double mutant enzyme. These results indicate the importance of the alpha/beta interaction, especially that between the regions near Arg-alpha 296 and Ser-beta 174, for energy coupling in the H(+)-ATPase. The 2 residues (Ser-beta 174 and Arg-alpha 296) may be located nearby at the interface of the two subunits. About 1 mol of N-[14C]ethylmaleimide could bind to 1 mol of the alpha subunit of Cys-alpha 296/Phe-beta 174 or Cys-alpha 296 mutant ATPase, but could not inhibit the enzyme activity. This is the first intersubunit mutation/suppression approach to ATPase catalysis and its energy coupling.  相似文献

We have developed a CCD calibration system using fluorescent X-ray lines with energies ranging from 1.49 keV (Al K) to 11.2 keV (Se K). The absolute X-ray flux is calibrated by a gas proportional counter, while the emerging spectra are monitored by solid-state silicon detectors. In order to suppress contaminating X-rays in the fluorescence spectra, mechanical collimators were set in the X-ray beam line, high-purity targets for fluorescent lines were used, and band-pass filters were put on the X-ray beam line. As for the purity of the fluorescent X-rays, the typical purity achieved was 98%.  相似文献

The effects of psychological stress on eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders have not been elucidated. This study investigated the effects of psychological stress in a mouse model of eosinophilic enteritis (EoN). BALB/c mice were treated with ovalbumin (OVA) to create an EoN model and subjected to either water avoidance stress (WAS) or sham stress (SS). Microscopic inflammation, eosinophil and mast cell counts, mRNA expression, and protein levels of type 2 helper T cell (Th2) cytokines in the ileum were compared between groups. We evaluated ex vivo intestinal permeability using an Ussing chamber. A corticotropin-releasing hormone type 1 receptor (CRH-R1) antagonist was administered before WAS, and its effects were analyzed. WAS significantly increased diarrhea occurrence and, eosinophil and mast cell counts, and decreased the villus/crypt ratio compared to those in the SS group. The mRNA expression of CRH, interleukin IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, eotaxin-1, and mast cell tryptase β2 significantly increased, and the protein levels of IL-5, IL-13, and OVA-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) also significantly increased in the WAS group. Moreover, WAS significantly increased the intestinal permeability. The CRH-R1 antagonist significantly inhibited all changes induced by WAS. Psychological stress exacerbated ileal inflammation via the CRH-mast cell axis in an EoN mouse model.  相似文献
