The axial pressure profiles, allowable gas velocities and temperature distributions are measured for the fluidization of air—FCC cracking catalyst systems in 12- and 19-cm-diam. eight-stage fluid beds equipped with seven horizontal baffles. From these measurements, gas bubble holdup, apparent longitudinal dispersion and intermixing velocity of solid particles through the baffles are studied as functions of baffle design. It is shown that the gas bubble holdup increases, the operational range of gas flow decreases and the flow pattern of solid particles approaches plug flow with decreasing free area of baffles.  相似文献

As a result of outdoor exposure tests on aggregate rocks, the deterioration characteristics of easily deteriorated rocks were roughly classified into three types: sudden break occurring along cracks, gradual exfoliation proceeding from the surface, and deterioration proceeding in a manner somewhat between those two. It was found that changes in weight loss, absorption and dynamic modulus of elasticity with time were closely related to the deterioration types of rocks.  相似文献

Total concentration of Fe impurity in Cr-doped semi-insulating GaAs crystals grown by various techniques was analyzed by atomic-absorption spectrophotometry. Analytical results show that Fe contamination likely occurs during HB-crystal growth. The Fe contamination may have originated mainly from the sandblasting procedure of the silica boat with impure abrasive. The interaction between the sandblasted boat surface and the GaAs melt was found to play an important role in the Fe impurity incorporation. It was also found that most of the Fe impurity is not incor-porated as elementary Fe in the HB-grown crystals. As far as the Fe contamination is concerned, direct synthesis LEC techniques seem to be the most advantageous at present.  相似文献

The thermal conductivities of near-stoichiometric (U, Ce)C and (U, Pu, Ce)C solid solutions containing CeC up to 10 mol% were determined in the temperature range from 740 to 1600 K by the laser flash method. The thermal conductivity decreased with the cerium content in the solid solutions. The electrical resistivities were also measured for the purpose of analyzing the heat conduction mechanism. It was found that the decrease of electronic heat conduction caused by the addition of cerium resulted in decreasing the thermal conductivities of (U, Ce)C and (U, Pu, Ce)C compared with UC and (U, Pu)C.  相似文献

By use of carbon black containing quaternary ammonium carboxylate (COO?N+R4) groups as catalyst, the anionic ring opening polymerization of β-propiolactone (PL) was carried out at 50°C. Although carbon black itself was unable to initiate the polymerization of PL, carbon black containing COO?N+R4 groups, which was prepared by the reaction of carboxyl groups with corresponding quaternary ammonium hydroxide, was found to be able to initiate the polymerization. The carbon black obtained from the polymerization gave a stable colloidal dispersion in an organic solvent, and it was confirmed that the polyester formed was effectively grafted onto the surface. In addition, the effect of quaternary ammonium countercation on the polymerization was investigated.  相似文献

d -Amino acid containing peptides are promising as drug lead compounds because of their expected higher stability in vivo. A heterochiral random peptide library called the one-bead–2n-peptide (OB2nP) library, which can display 2n peptide diastereomers per bead, has been developed. Through screening of the OB2nP library and subsequent binding assay among the peptide diastereomers synthesized in parallel by means of the SPOTs method, new heterochiral mimotopes for the anti-β-endorphin monoclonal antibody have been obtained. One mimotope was a new ligand for the μ-opioid receptor. The screening strategy enabled d -amino acid containing drug leads to be obtained efficiently by expanding searchable chemical space without increasing the experimental scale.  相似文献

Gamma‐aminobutyric acid (GABA) has many biological functions, including the inhibition of blood pressure increases and acceleration of growth hormone secretion. In this study, we discovered the utility of measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) dissolved in the reaction solution, for development of a real‐time and convenient technique to estimate GABA production. In addition to mochi barley bran, we examined the polished grains of three species: mochi barley (a variant of hulless barley), barley, and Japanese millet, all soaked in l ‐glutamic acid (l ‐Glu) solution at pH 4.5. We found a positive correlation between GABA and CO2 concentrations, and the production of CO2 was suppressed in the absence of l ‐Glu at pH 4.5. These results suggest that GABA content can be easily predicted by measuring the aqueous CO2 content using a CO2 sensor, during the process of GABA production in polished mochi barley grains and bran.  相似文献

The long‐term dc properties of DC‐XLPE insulation materials, which have been developed for dc use, were investigated. It was found that the lifetime of DC‐XLPE under dc voltage application is extended by the addition of nano‐sized filler. The time dependence of the space charge distribution at 50 kV/mm was observed for 7 days. Almost no accumulation of space charge in DC‐XLPE was found. The 250‐kV DC‐XLPE cables and accessories were manufactured and subjected to a type test and PQ test for use in the Hokkaido–Honshu dc link facility owned by the Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. These tests were performed under conditions that included a polarity reversal test for line commutated converter (LCC) systems as recommended in CIGRE TB 219. The test temperature was 90 °C. The type test and PQ test were successfully completed. The DC‐XLPE cable and accessories were installed in summer 2012 for the Hokkaido–Honshu dc link. After the installation of the dc extruded cable system, a dc high‐voltage test at 362.5 kV (=1.45 PU) for 15 min was successfully completed in accordance with CIGRE TB 219. This dc extruded cable system was put into operation in December 2012 as the world's highest‐voltage extruded dc cable in service and the world's first dc extruded cable for a LCC system including polarity reversal operation.  相似文献

Si-rich ytterbium silicide was fabricated by through an arc-melting technique for applying use as a bond coat material in an environmental barrier coating system. Evaluation of its potential was accomplished through oxidation tests in dry air and an inert atmosphere. The experimental results showed that the changes in weight and morphologies of ytterbium silicide observed after the tests depended on the oxygen partial pressure. Extensive oxidation and weight gain occurred after oxidation in air. In order to apply this material for hot structures, improvement of the oxidation resistance is needed.  相似文献
