The solvent extraction of picric acid(Hpic) from acid aqueous chloride solutions into cyclohexane with trioctylphosphine oxide(TOPO) and trioctylamine(TOA) was examined and the UV-visible spectrum of the organic phase was studied. In the organic phase, the acid associates with one or two TOPO molecules but it associates with only one TOA molecule. The absorption peak of the 1:1 associate with TOPO appears only in the UV range and thus it is assumed to be a hydrogen-bonded molecular adduct. The 1:2 associate with TOPO and the 1:1 associate with TOA, on the other hand, has a marked absorption peak in the visible range which is quite similar to that of picrate ions and thus the extracts are assumed to be ion pairs in which an electron transfers from the hydrogen atom to the oxygen atom in the OH-group. For this reason, the spectrum of TOPO extract is dependent on the amount of free extractant but that of TOA extract is not.  相似文献

Structure of x PbO–(100− x )SiO2 ( x =25–89) glasses has been investigated by means of the X-ray and neutron diffraction and 29Si MAS NMR measurements. In the radial distribution functions of all the glasses, the Pb–O correlation was observed at 0.23 nm, indicating that the PbO3 trigonal pyramids units do exist in the whole glass forming composition range. Furthermore the existence of the first Pb–Pb correlation at ∼0.385 nm in the whole composition range suggests that the basic structural unit is considered to be a Pb2O4 unit, which consists of the edge-shared PbO3 trigonal pyramids. These results strongly imply that the Pb2O4 units participate in the glass network constructed by SiO4 tetrahedra even at low PbO content. Differing from other lead-containing glass systems, these structural characteristics of Pb ions in the PbO–SiO2 glass system are responsible for the extremely wide glass-forming region.  相似文献

A temperature-jump (T-jump) time-resolved X-ray crystallographictechnique using the Laue method was developed to detect small,localized structural changes of proteins in crystals exposedto a temperature increase induced by laser irradiation. In achimeric protein between thermophilic and mesophilic 3-isopropylmalatedehydrogenases (2T2M6T), the initial structural change uponT-jump to a denaturing temperature (~90°C) was found tobe localized at a region which includes a ß-turn and aloop located between the two domains of the enzyme. A mutant,2T2M6T-E110P/S111G/S113E, having amino acid replacements inthis ß-turn region with the corresponding residues ofthe thermophilic enzyme, showed greater stability than the originalchimera (increase of Tm by ~10°C) and no T-jump-inducedstructural change in this region was detected by our method.These results indicate that thermal unfolding of the originalchimeric enzyme, 2T2M6T, is triggered in this ß-turn region.  相似文献

Diameter-controlled single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have been synthesized using Co, Fe/Co and Rh/Pd alloy nanoparticles trapped within the one-dimensional channels of a mesoporous materials (Folded Sheets Mesoporous material: FSM-16) by catalyst-supported chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) using ethanol as carbon source at 973-1173 K. The SWCNTs synthesized are characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The yield, diameter distribution and quality of the SWCNTs strongly depend on the reaction temperature during CCVD. The product synthesized at 1173 K contains only SWCNTs, in marked contrast to those synthesized at lower temperatures. As the reaction temperature decreases, the relative abundance of multi-wall carbon nanotubes against SWCNTs significantly increases, whereas the mean diameter of SWCNTs increases as reaction temperature increases. The results show that a careful control of the reaction temperature is crucial to fabricate diameter-controlled SWCNTs from the channels of FSM-16.  相似文献

Silica (SiO2)‐crosslinked polystyrene (PS) particles possessing photofunctional N,N‐diethyldithiocarbamate (DC) groups on their surface were prepared by the free‐radical emulsion copolymerization of a mixture of SiO2 (diameter = 20 nm), styrene, divinyl benzene, 4‐vinylbenzyl N,N‐diethyldithiocarbamate (VBDC), and 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate with a radical initiator under UV irradiation. In this copolymerization, the inimer VBDC had the formation of a hyperbranched structure by a living radical mechanism. The particle sizes of such core–shell structures [number‐average particle diameter (Dn) = 35–40 nm] were controlled by the variation of the feed amounts of the monomers and surfactant, or emulsion system. The size distributions were relatively narrow (weight‐average particle diameter/Dn ≈ 1.05). These particles had DC groups on their surface. Subsequently, poly(methyl methacrylate) brush encapsulated SiO2 particles were synthesized by the grafting from a photoinduced atom transfer radical polymerization approach of methyl methacrylate initiated by SiO2‐crosslinked PS particles as a macroinitiator. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The purpose of the present research was to clarify the effect of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) intake on behavior and plasma catecholamines (CA). In Study 1, 42 students took either DHA-rich oil capsules containing 1.5–1.8 g DHA/d or control oil capsules containing 97% soybean oil plus 3% of another fish oil for 3 mon in a double-blind fashion. They took a psychological test (PF Study) at the start and end of the study. This study started at the end of summer vacation and ended just before the final exams. In the control group, external aggression (aggression against others) in PF Study was significantly increased at the end of the study as compared with that measured at the start (+8.9%), whereas it was not significantly changed in the DHA group (?1.0%). In a similar double-blind study (Study 2), we measured external aggression under nonstressful conditions. External aggression slightly decreased in the control group, whereas there were no significant changes in the DHA group. In Study 3 with 14 students, plasma CA were measured at the start and end of capsule administration period of 2 mon. Subjects were under continuous stress of the final exams that lasted throughout the whole study period. The ratio of plasma epinephrine to norepinephrine concentrations was significantly increased in the DHA group (78%), whereas it stayed at the same level in the control group. In Study 4, mice were fed either DHA-deficient diet or -sufficient diet for 4 wk, and their rearing frequency (an anxiety index) was measured. In the DHA-sufficient group, the rearing frequency was significantly less than in the other group. These effects of DHA intake may be applied to people in an attempt to ameliorate stress-related diseases.  相似文献

Rose bengal-deposited TiO2 film electrodes bearing dispersed Ag or Au nanoparticles were prepared by the sol-gel method. The dye-induced visible region photoresponse of the electrodes decreased with increasing Ag content up to a mole ratio of Ag/TiO2 = 0.0207, while the UV photoresponse increased. On the other hand, the dye-induced visible region photoresponse decreased to a less extent by incorporation of a larger amount of Au particles of Au/TiO2 = 0.06, along with decreased UV photoresponse. The effects of the metal particles on the dye sensitization of the electrodes were discussed in terms of band edge fluctuation induced by the surface metal particles, Schottky barriers at TiO2/metal interfaces, and surface plasma resonance.  相似文献

We studied the effect of cleaning and cooking on the residues of flutolanil, fenobucarb, silafluofen and buprofezin in rice. The rice had been sprayed in a paddy field in Wakayama city, with 3 kinds of pesticide application protocols: spraying once at the usual concentration of pesticides, repeated spraying (3 times) with the usual concentration of pesticides and spraying once with 3 times the usual concentration of pesticides. The residue levels of pesticide decreased during the rice cleaning process. Silafluofen, which has a higher log Pow value, remained in the hull of the rice. Fenobucarb, which has a lower log Pow value, penetrated inside the rice. The residue concentration of pesticide in polished rice was higher than that in pre-washed rice processed ready for cooking. During the cooking procedure, the reduction of pesticides in polished rice was higher than that in brown rice.  相似文献

The role of antioxidants contained in foods, beverages, and supplements against oxidative stress has received much attention. The capacity of antioxidants has been assessed by various methods. In this study, the antioxidant capacity of a complex mixture of fermented grains has been assessed by using two probes, pyranine and pyrogallol red (PGR). A supplement commercialised as Antioxidant Biofactor, AOB, was used as a substrate. The extracts from AOB obtained with water and dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) inhibited the free radical-induced consumption of pyranine and PGR in a concentration-dependent manner. They also suppressed the free radical-induced oxidation of human plasma. It was estimated that 1 g of AOB contained, as Trolox equivalent, roughly 0.13 and 0.24 mmol (2.5 and 4.7 wt%) antioxidants, which could be extracted by water and DMSO, respectively. This study shows that the combination of the above two probes is useful for assessing the total content and activity of antioxidants contained in complex mixtures.  相似文献
