In order to clarify the behavior of ephemeral waves, flow parameters of ephemeral waves, such as the number and residence zone lengths per unit axial length, mean values and standard deviations of wave velocity, width, and maximum holdup, were determined using a wave‐vein analysis in upward huge wave flow and annular flow. The mean values of wave velocities, widths, and maximum holdups of ephemeral waves are compared with those of liquid lumps having main wave‐veins, and the differences in the parameters between those liquid lumps are discussed. Furthermore, the parameters of both active ephemeral waves and inactive ephemeral waves are determined, and the characteristics in the flow parameters of two types of ephemeral waves are presented. © 1999 Scripta Technica, Heat Trans Asian Res, 29(1): 1–14, 2000  相似文献

An experiment was performed to simulate a water cooling panel system for decay heat removal from a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) and to investigate the performance of decay heat removal and the temperature distribution for components of the system. The experimental apparatus is composed of a pressure vessel 1 m in diameter and 3 m in height, containing heaters with a maximum heating rate of 100 kW which simulates the decay heat of the reactor core and cooling panels surrounding the pressure vessel. The analytical code THANPACST2 was applied to analyze the experimental data and to investigate the validity of the analytical method and model proposed. Under conditions using helium gas at a pressure of 0.73 MPa and temperature of 210°C in the pressure vessel, temperatures of the pressure vessel were well estimated to within differences of −29 to +37°C compared to the experimental data. The analyses indicate that the heat removed by the cooling panel is 11.4% less than the experimental value and the heat transferred by thermal radiation is 74.4% of the total heating value. It was also found that the lower head of the pressure vessel is effectively cooled by natural convection through the flow channels at the upper and the lower edges of the skirt-type support of the pressure vessel. © 1998 Scripta Technica, Heat Trans Jpn Res, 26(3): 159–175, 1997  相似文献

In this paper we propose an analytical method of DCBLM with polar anisotropic plastic rotor magnets. The orientation of the polar anisotropic plastic magnet is different for each part. In our method, the magnetic flux distribution of the injection mold for polar anisotropic plastic magnets is analyzed by FEM first. Next, the orientation is determined from the magnetic flux distribution. Finally, based on the latter, the nonlinear dynamic magnetic field of DCBLM is analyzed. Application of an optical measuring technique was attempted in order to develop harmonic voltage and current measuring instruments for distribution systems. To develop the harmonic voltage measuring system using a Bi12GeO20 crystal as a sensing Pockels cell for high‐voltage distribution lines, zinc oxide elements were adopted as a voltage divider. Also, an optical current sensor system was improved on the harmonic current measuring system using an R3Fe5O12 film as a Faraday device. In practical three‐phase distribution systems, the developed high voltage harmonic measuring devices using the optical voltage sensor and current sensor were compared with conventional harmonic analyzers for low voltage. Combined heat transfer characteristics were obtained numerically for three-dimensional natural convection and thermal radiation in a long and wide vertical porous layer with a hexagonal honeycomb core. We assumed that the porous layer was both homogeneous and isotropic. The pure Darcy law for fluid flow and Rosseland's approximation for radiation were used. The numerical methodology was based on an algebraic coordinate transformation technique and the transformed governing equations were solved using the SIMPLE algorithm. The effect of radiation on the heat transfer characteristics was investigated over a wide range of radiation numbers and temperature ratios for two Darcy-Rayleigh number values (Ra* = 100 and 1000) and for a fixed aspect ratio of H/L = 1. A new methodology, namely, artificial neural network (ANN) approach was proposed for modeling and predicting flow behavior of the polyethylene melt through nanochannels of nanoporous alumina templates. Wetting length of the nanochannels was determined to be a function of time, temperature, diameter of nanochannels, and surface properties of the inner wall of the nanochannels. An ANN was designed to forecast the relationship between the length of wetting as output parameter and other aforementioned parameters as input variables. It was demonstrated that the ANN method is capable of modeling this phenomenon with high accuracy. The designed ANN was then employed to obtain the wetting length of the nanochannels for those cases, which were not reported by the wetting experiments. The results were then analyzed statistically to identify the effect of each independent variable, namely, time, temperature, diameter of nanochannels, and surface properties of the inner wall of nanochannels as well as their combinations on the wetting length of the nanochannels. In the shearing process, clearance has a significant effect on machining accuracy. However, the relationship between uneven clearance caused by misalignment of tool position and machining accuracy remains unclear. This is attributed to the fact that, previously, the effect was small because the thickness of the workpiece was not so thin, and a method for precisely measuring and adjusting the tool position had not been established. Therefore, in the present study, a new method of adjusting the initial tool position is developed. In addition, punching experiments are conducted under the condition that the initial tool position is adjusted to an accuracy of 2 μm or better, and the effects of clearance on machining accuracy, shape of cross-section, and diameter of hole, are investigated in three types of materials. From these results, the importance of adjusting the initial tool position is clarified.  相似文献

2-Dibutylamino-1,3,5-triazine-4,6-dithiol (DB) and a mixture of DB and triallylisocyanurate (TAIC) were used as a lubricant during steel wire drawing due to a dry process. DB gave a polymer film with 180 nm in thickness to wire surfaces during the wire drawing. The polymer film had a disulfide structure on the backbone and contained a small amount of DB monomer and olygomer. Molecular weight and polymer weight increased with the drawing rate. The mixture of DB and TAIC gave mainly a three-dimensional polymer film with 225 nm in thickness to wire surfaces during drawing. The polymer film insoluble in THF had mono and disulfide structures and contained a small amount of linear polymer, DB, and TAIC. Such tribological polymerizations are estimated as follows: DB produces dithiyl radicals on a nascent surface formed during drawing and in the presence of oxygen and heat. The dithiyl radicals were polymerized by coupling with each other to give disulfide bonds or added to allyl groups in TAIC to give monosulfide bonds. It is concluded that this technique should be possible to use for unifying metal processing and surface treatment. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Three kinds of aramid fabrics, Technora (modified p-aramid), Conex (m-aramid) and Kevlar (p-aramid), were subjected to sputter etching and argon low-temperature plasma treatments after dyeing in black with disperse dyes. The depth of shade increased considerably on Technora and Kevlar with the sputter etching treatment, but not on Conex fabrics. Argon low-temperature plasma treatment had virtually no effect on the depth of shade on the aramid fabrics.  相似文献
