Magnetoelectric (ME) small-scale robotic devices attract great interest from the scientific community due to their unique properties for biomedical applications. Here, novel ME nano hetero-structures based on the biocompatible magnetostrictive MnFe2O4 (MFO) and ferroelectric Ba0.85Ca0.15Zr0.1Ti0.9O3 (BCZT) are developed solely via the hydrothermal method for the first time. An increase in the temperature and duration of the hydrothermal synthesis results in increasing the size, improving the purity, and inducing morphology changes of MFO nanoparticles (NPs). A successful formation of a thin epitaxial BCZT-shell with a 2–5 nm thickness is confirmed on the MFO NPs (77 ± 14 nm) preliminarily treated with oleic acid (OA) or polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), whereas no shell is revealed on the surface of pristine MFO NPs. High magnetization is revealed for the developed ME NPs based on PVP- and OA-functionalized MFO NPs (18.68 ± 0.13 and 20.74 ± 0.22 emu g−1, respectively). Moreover, ME NPs demonstrate 95% degradation of a model pollutant Rhodamine B within 2.5 h under an external AC magnetic field (150 mT, 100 Hz). Thus, the developed biocompatible core–shell ME NPs of MFO and BCZT can be considered as a promising tool for non-invasive biomedical applications, environmental remediation, and hydrogen generation for renewable energy sources. 相似文献

Herein, a CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy with reduced Cr content and with the addition of 2 at% C interstitial is processed via high-pressure torsion (HPT) under 6.5 GPa by three turns at room and cryogenic temperatures. The microstructure is investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atom probe tomography (APT). The results indicate that C atoms segregate at the boundaries of the nanograins in the sample processed at room temperature, while the sample processed at cryogenic temperature does not show any notable segregations of carbon. 相似文献

Photo-thermo-refractive (PTR) glass demonstrates refractive index change after exposure to UV radiation followed by a thermal treatment that enables recording of high efficiency holographic optical elements. This work demonstrates feasibility of function of this material as a complex optical medium which posseses both photosensitive and luminescent properties and paves a way for creation of monolythic solid state lasers where resonator components can be holographically recorded inside of a laser medium. It was found, that incorporating of Nd3+ ions in PTR glass does not affect photosensitivity required for hologram recording. It was demonstrated that emission wavelength, spectral width, and cross section of Nd3+ luminescence in PTR glass are typical for silicate laser glasses and Nd-doped PTR glass can be considered as a promising laser medium for monolithic solid state lasers. 相似文献

Electropolymerizing the prosthetic group (flavin adenine dinucleotide, FAD) responsible in the active sites of dehydrogenases for NAD(+)|NADH regeneration, we succeeded in mimicking enzyme activity. Poly(FAD) characterized by an additional polymer-type redox reaction has been discovered as a highly effective electrocatalyst for NADH oxidation: operating at the lowest potentials reported for NADH transducers (0.00 V, pH 7.4), poly(FAD) is characterized by the electrochemical rate constant of 1.8 +/- 0.6 x 10(-3) cm s(-1), which is at the level of the NADH mass-transfer constant. Flow injection analysis of NADH with the poly(FAD)-modified wall-jet electrode as a detector has been characterized by a linear calibration range prolonged down to 5 x 10(-7) M and a sensitivity of 0.08 A M(-1) cm(-2), which taking into account the dispersion coefficient ( approximately 3), is at the diffusion-limiting value. In contrast to the low molecular weight mediators able to exhibit similar electrocatalytic properties, poly(FAD)-modified electrodes are characterized by the dramatically improved stability and, thus, can be considered as the most advantageous NADH transducers for analytical chemistry. 相似文献

We applied two methods of “blind” spectral decomposition (MILCA and SNICA) to quantitative and qualitative analyses of UV absorption spectra of several non-trivial mixture types. Both methods use the concept of statistical independence and aim at the reconstruction of minimally dependent components from a linear mixture. We examined mixtures of major ecotoxicants (aromatic and polyaromatic hydrocarbons), amino acids and complex mixtures of vitamins in a veterinary drug. Both MICLA and SNICA were able to recover concentrations and individual spectra with minimal errors comparable with instrumental noise. In most cases their performance was similar to or better than that of other chemometric methods such as MCR-ALS, SIMPLISMA, RADICAL, JADE and FastICA. Specific features of the operation of the membrane-electrode assembly with high catalytic activity that are a part of the simplified design of a low-temperature air-hydrogen fuel cell under conditions of forced and natural convection of air on the cathode are studied. The governing effect of water balance on the specific power of the fuel cell in the stationary mode (~1 h) is shown, and the range of the operating conditions of the cell with self-control is determined. The power of the fuel cell at an efficiency of ~50% and the surface density of platinum on a cathode of ≈0.2 mg/cm2 is 200–250 and 100 mW/cm2 in the forced and natural air-convection modes, respectively, which is comparable with the advanced results. 相似文献

The present paper provides a game theoretic analysis of strategic cooperation on safety and security among chemical companies within a chemical industrial cluster. We suggest a two-stage sequential move game between adjacent chemical plants and the so-called Multi-Plant Council (MPC). The MPC is considered in the game as a leader player who makes the first move, and the individual chemical companies are the followers. The MPC's objective is to achieve full cooperation among players through establishing a subsidy system at minimum expense. The rest of the players rationally react to the subsidies proposed by the MPC and play Nash equilibrium. We show that such a case of conflict between safety and security, and social cooperation, belongs to the 'coordination with assurance' class of games, and we explore the role of cluster governance (fulfilled by the MPC) in achieving a full cooperative outcome in domino effects prevention negotiations. The paper proposes an algorithm that can be used by the MPC to develop the subsidy system. Furthermore, a stepwise plan to improve cross-company safety and security management in a chemical industrial cluster is suggested and an illustrative example is provided. 相似文献

The present study is focused on the investigation of gravity effect on thermocapillary deformations in a film flowing under
action of co-current gas flow, which creates the tangential force on the gas–liquid interface. The influence of local heating
intensity on the heater at a substrate is also investigated. Effects of surface tension, temperature dependent viscosity and
thermocapillarity are taken into account. Investigations have shown that gravity has a significant effect on the film deformations
and pattern. Decreasing of gravity level leads to a flow destabilization. 3D liquid film pattern noticeably changes in spanwise
direction. Increasing of heat flux leads to increasing of liquid film deformations. Dependence of film thinning on heat flux
is strongly nonlinear. The most dangerous deformations (regions of minimum film thickness with possible disruption of liquid)

ABSTRACTThe corrosivity of atmosphere in the continental territory of Russia toward carbon steel, zinc, copper and aluminium was determined and estimated. The atmosphere corrosivity was determined from experimental data on first-year corrosion losses in representative test locations. The atmosphere corrosivity was estimated using first-year corrosion losses of structural materials calculated by means of dose–response functions: new ones (DRFN) and those presented in ISO 9223 (DRFS). Estimation of atmosphere corrosivity in the Russian Federation (RF) territory was performed using the data bank of the Institute of physical chemistry and electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences containing long-term annual average meteorological atmosphere parameters. The mapping of RF continental territory by categories of atmosphere corrosivity is presented. The atmosphere corrosivities estimated by DRFN and DRFS for each metal are compared. It has been shown that DRFN provides more reliable atmosphere corrosivity estimates. 相似文献
