For the purpose of accurate flow measurement, an automatic three-dimensional (3D) sound field measurement system has been developed, and an experimental study has been conducted on ultrasonic properties. By using this system, ultrasonic sound pressure distributions and radiation angles in water have been measured. According to Snell’s law, the ultrasonic transmission properties can be obtained on the basis of incidence angle, acoustic impedance, basic frequency of ultrasound, and material and thickness of the metallic plate. However, this law cannot be applied to certain cases where an ultrasonic incident wave passes through a metallic plate and turns into a longitudinal wave, a shear wave and a Lamb wave. Consequently, the ultrasonic propagation paths have been investigated experimentally at various angles of incidence. From the experiments, it was confirmed that the ultrasonic beam paths change with incidence angles. Hence, the most suitable incidence angle has been determined from the result of measurements. Velocity measurements using an ultrasonic velocity profiler were made at various incidence angles. The accuracy of measuring flow rates changed with the incidence angles. The optimal incidence angle determined from 3D field measurements was found to yield the most accurate flow rates.  相似文献

A new deformation–wear transition map of hydrogen-free amorphous carbon coating (commonly known as Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating) on tungsten high speed steel (SKH2) substrate under cyclic impact loading has been proposed to clarify the interactions of the operating parameters, deformation and wear. The study was carried out using an impact tester, under lubricated conditions over a wide range of impact cycles, and applied normal loads. SKH2 discs were coated with thin DLC films using a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) method. Tungsten (W) was used as an interlayer material. The DLC coated disc was impacted repeatedly by a chromium molybdenum steel (SCM420) pin. All impact tests were conducted at room temperature. It has been suggested that the deformation–wear transition map is an easy way to illustrate the impact wear mechanisms of DLC coating, as shown by its transition zones. Initially, the DLC coating only follows the plastic deformation of the substrate until several impact cycles. Then, a suppression of plastic deformation of the substrate is taking place due to the decreasing contact pressure with impact cycles to the yield point. Wear of the DLC coating becomes dominant when the critical limit of maximum normal impact load and impact cycles is exceeded. From experimental observations, some degradation of the DLC coating occurs within the wear zone.  相似文献

The deleterious effect of ethylene gas on the ring‐closing olefin metathesis (RCM) for the formation of 5‐ to 8‐membered rings was investigated. Significant rate differences caused by ethylene gas were observed among the different ring‐size formation reactions. Nevertheless, the rate differences can be advantageously utilized for chemoselective RCM.  相似文献

Inorganic fiber network including YSZ fiber which acts as catalyst support was created by the simple paper-making process, and novel Ni-loaded paper-structured catalysts (PSCs) with excellent catalytic activity for the dry reforming of methane were designed and developed. The PSCs exhibited high fuel conversion comparable to the conventional powdered catalysts with less than one-tenth catalyst weights. The significant advantages of the PSCs are their high mechanical flexibility and material workability. So far, a functionally-graded catalytic reaction field which leads to uniform temperature distribution during biogas reforming resulting in stable operation of planar SOFC was successfully developed by the PSC array based on the kinetic simulation model built in this research.  相似文献

Experimental and computational analyses were performed on thecorepressor (L-tryptophan) binding site of the trp-repressorof Escherichia coli to investigate the ligandprotein interactions.Gly 85, one of the residues forming the hydrophobic pocket ofthe binding site, was systematically replaced with Ala, Val,Leu and Trp by cassette mutagenesis. Biochemical characterizationshowed that all these mutations caused significant decreasesin tryptophan binding activity. Free energy perturbation calculationswere performed for the mutants and were consistent with theexperimental results. The lack of a side chain at position 85was concluded to be essential for binding the corepressor; thestructure of the binding pocket was suggested to be tight inthe vicinity of Gly85.  相似文献

In this study, the device structure of a white tandem organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) was changed to control the emission area and thereby achieve less luminance decay. A long‐life 13.5‐inch 4 K flexible c‐axis‐aligned crystal oxide semiconductor (CAAC‐OS) active‐matrix OLED with less color shift and high resolution was fabricated using this long‐life white OLED, transfer technology, and a CAAC‐OS field‐effect transistor.  相似文献

A mutational study was performed on the corepressor (Ltryptophan)binding site of the trp repressor of Escherichia coli. Threonine81, one of the residues forming the hydrophobic pocket of thebinding site, was replaced with Ser, Cys and Met by cassettemutagenesis. Biochemical characterization showed that all thesemutations caused a moderate decrease in tryptophan binding activity(free energy change 1 kcal/mol). The results suggested thatthe binding pocket is rather flexible in the vicinity of Thr81.On the other hand, the mutations produced a discernible decreasein the repressor activity in vivo, apparently by weakening oreliminating the hydrogen bond between Thr81 and the operatorDNA, as well as by introducing possible side-chain rearrangement.  相似文献

Alumina/carbon-black composite ceramics with different percolation thresholds were fabricated by changing the size ratio of constituent particles. The dependence of resistivity on pressure was established for each sample. The compositional dependence of resistivity can be explained by percolation theory. The percolation threshold decreases with increasing alumina/carbon-black particle size ratio. The pressure dependence of the resistivity increases as the composition approaches the percolation threshold. When the relative composition at the percolation threshold is fixed, the sensitivity increases with increasing matrix/dispersoid initial particle size ratio.  相似文献
