The authors focus on properties of biomineralized (CaCO3) PVP-CMC hydrogel (designated as I–X) including cytotoxicity assay using primary mouse embryonic fibroblasts. The biomineralized samples (VII–X) showed >80% cell viability, was selected for further characterizations. FTIR and XRD indicate deposition of CaCO3 within the PVP-CMC hydrogel matrix, SEM shows changes in morphology and pore diameter (VII and VIII: 1–12 µm; IX: 10–70 µm; X: 70–170 µm), TGA determines the decomposition scenario of CaCO3, and tensile strength of samples (VII–X) ranged between 0.04 and 1.0 GPa, which practically corresponds to the modulus of cancellous bone.  相似文献

A significant property of a generalized effect algebra is that its every interval with inherited partial sum is an effect algebra. We show that in some sense the converse is also true. More precisely, we prove that a set with zero element is a generalized effect algebra if and only if all its intervals are effect algebras. We investigate inheritance of some properties from intervals to generalized effect algebras, e.g., the Riesz decomposition property, compatibility of every pair of elements, dense embedding into a complete effect algebra, to be a sub-(generalized) effect algebra, to be lattice ordered and others. The response to the Open Problem from Rie?anová and Zajac (2013) for generalized effect algebras and their sub-generalized effect algebras is given.  相似文献

We report on periodic structures inscribed through holographic recording by both intensity light patterns and polarization patterns in novel azo-containing polymer poly[oxyethylene({6-[4-(biphenyl-4-azo)phenoxy]hexyl}imino) ethylene-carbonylimino(2-methyl-1,3-phenylene)iminocarbonyl] abbreviated as A-TDI. The kinetic of grating recording and diffraction efficiency of recorded gratings using polarized cw Ar+ laser light have been measured for s–s, p–p and s–p polarization configurations. The translation grating technique applied during the light self-diffraction process allowed for investigations of phase and amplitude gratings contributions to light diffraction in the studied polymer. Full reversibility of polarization (s–p) grating recording and observation of a half-period structure development during optical erasure process makes this material a good candidate for further studies as a potential material for dynamic holography purposes.  相似文献

Methylglyoxal (MG) is a highly reactive alpha-oxoaldehyde formed endogenously in numerous enzymatic and nonenzymatic reactions. It modifies arginine and lysine residues in proteins forming advanced glycation end-products such as N(delta)-(5-methyl-4-imidazolon-2-yl)-L-ornithine (MG-H1), 2-amino-5-(2-amino-5-hydro-5-methyl-4-imidazolon-1-yl)pentanoic acid (MG-H2), 2-amino-5-(2-amino-4-hydro-4-methyl-5-imidazolon-1-yl)pentanoic acid (MG-H3), argpyrimidine, N(delta)-(4-carboxy-4,6-dimethyl-5,6-dihydroxy-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidine-2-yl)-L-ornithine (THP), N(epsilon)-(1-carboxyethyl)lysine (CEL), MG-derived lysine dimer (MOLD), and 2-ammonio-6-({2-[4-ammonio-5-oxido-5-oxopently)amino]-4-methyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-5-ylidene}amino)hexanoate (MODIC), which have been identified in vivo and are associated with complications of diabetes and some neurodegenerative diseases. In foodstuffs and beverages, MG is formed during processing, cooking, and prolonged storage. Fasting and metabolic disorders and/or defects in MG detoxification processes cause accumulation of this reactive dicarbonyl in vivo. In addition, the intake of low doses of MG over a prolonged period of time can cause degenerative changes in different tissues, and can also exert anticancer activity. MG in biological samples can be quantified by HPLC or GC methods with preliminary derivatization into more stable chromophores and/or fluorophores, or derivatives suitable for determination by MS by use of diamino derivatives of benzene and naphthalene, 6-hydroxy-2,4,5-triaminopyrimidine, cysteamine, and o-(2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorobenzyl) hydroxylamine. The methods include three basic steps: deproteinization, incubation with derivatization agent, and chromatographic analysis with or without preliminary extraction of the formed products.  相似文献

Accurate and reliable data on microgram and nanogram quantities of some essential and toxic elements in most food articles are very scarce. Neutron activation analysis (NAA), with its essentially blankfree advantage, is a valuable approach in the field of determination of trace elements in different foodstuffs and diets. Accordingly, various radiochemical (RNAA) and instrumental (INAA) approaches have been developed in our laboratory for the elements As, Cd, Co, Cu, Hg, I, Mo, Ni, Sb, Se, Sn, Th, U, V, and others, and verified by the analysis of compositionally appropriate certified reference materials.This communication was presented as a poster at EURO FOOD CHEM VIII, Vienna, September 18–20, 1995, and was one of three such posters which were awarded as being outstanding  相似文献

An extremely simple procedure has been developed for the immobilization of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells on magnetic chitosan microparticles. The magnetic carrier was prepared using an inexpensive, simple, rapid, one‐pot process, based on the microwave irradiation of chitosan and ferrous sulphate at high pH. Immobilized yeast cells have been used for sucrose hydrolysis, hydrogen peroxide decomposition and the adsorption of selected dyes. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An inexpensive and non-toxic magnetically responsive biocatalyst was prepared by ferrofluid modification of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells. The prepared biocatalyst enabled efficient decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (HP) and sucrose conversion, due to the presence of active intracellular catalase and invertase. HP was efficiently decomposed in water solutions up to 2% concentration, leaving very low residual HP concentration after treatment. The biocatalyst was stable; the same catalytic activity was observed after one month storage at 4 °C.  相似文献
