Ink‐eliminated waste paper sludge flour‐filled polypropylene composites with different coupling agent treatments

Ink‐eliminated sludge flour (IESF), waste residue from the recycling treatments of waste paper, was utilized as a new kind of filler to reinforce polypropylene (PP) in this research work. Different coupling agents, including maleated anhydride grafted PP (MAPP), stearic acid (SA), and titanate (NDZ‐101), were used to increase the compatibility between IESF and PP. By using different measurements, the microstructure, morphology, thermal behaviors, and mechanical properties of the IESF/PP composites were investigated in detail. It was found that IESF, as a nucleation agent, not only induced the crystallization orientation of PP but also accelerate the crystallization rate of PP. Just as indicated in the experiments, the presence of IESF has shown the advantages of increasing the dimensional stability, the hardness and the flexural property, and the presence of coupling agents has a favorable effect on the improvement of dimensional stability. Moreover, the coupling agent has minor influence on the mechanical property, even causes some decrease in the impact strength. Among these three coupling agents, MAPP is found to be the best coupling agent for increasing the interfacial adhesion between IESF and PP, and the MAPP addition makes the PP composite possess the quickest crystallization rate and greatest tensile strength. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microstructural Evidence for Diffusion-Driven Tetragonal-to-Orthorhombic Phase Transformation in Y-Ba-Cu-O Superconductor

Microstructures of Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor were observed using a polarized microscope. Orthorhombic and tetragonal phases were easily distinguished by the optical etching with cross-polarized light. In the specimen cooled rapidly in oxygen, it was possible to see the path of oxygen diffusion by observing the variation of the twin concentration. At the boundary between transformed and untransformed materials, evidence for diffusion-driven transformation could be clearly seen.

程控多路宽电压通道切换电路设计

为克服传统校验方法的不足,简化自动化测试设备的面板设计和校验过程,基于单片机技术和RS-422通信接口,设计了一种程控多路宽电压通道切换电路。介绍了电路工作原理、元器件选择、软硬件设计过程。该电路已经在多台测试设备的校验环节得到应用,工作性能稳定。

针对生态环境遥感产品生产系统的架构,结合遥感生态产品的特点,提出了以多线程方式为运行机制的Push-Model的产品生产监控系统,用以实时、有效地对产品生产过程进行进度监控和人工交互消息的控制。生产监控系统的实现与运行,证实了该方案下产品生产监控信息的实时性及人工交互消息控制的有效性。

利用ASP技术进行毕业生信息查询系统的设计与实现,通过Internet访问该系统,可以快速便捷地帮助开放教育各教学点和学生,以及用人单位查询和验证南京电大开放教育毕业生信息。     

Scaled Jacobian transpose based control for robotic manipulators

This paper presents a scaled Jacobian transpose based control method for robotic manipulators as a modification of a conventional Jacobian transpose based method. The proposed method has several advantages such as it shows faster convergence and better tracking performance than the conventional method, furthermore, it does not have any singularity problem similar to the conventional method. The scaled Jacobian transpose is obtained by collecting each pseudoinverse of the column vector of the Jacobian matrix. The proposed method performs a given task well under singular configurations while minimizing the task error. Finally, a few comparative studies with the conventional method are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method through simulations.     

Exploration of unknown object by active touch of robot hand

This paper proposes a method of exploring the local shape of an unknown object using the force and torque information obtained from active touch. In the first, we present a method to estimate an unknown curvature, using rolling and sliding motion with a force/torque sensor attached to the fingertip of the hand. Then, the normal curvature equation from 2D curvatures is obtained. Finally we present a reconstruction algorithm of local geometry by using a normal curvature equation, which is composed of principal curvatures and principal directions. The method is tested by using a hand-arm system consisting of an industrial robot arm and an anthropomorphic robot hand with 6-axis force/torque sensor. The feasibility of the proposed method is experimentally validated for objects with simple geometries such as cylinder, spheres etc.
