Proton-exchanged optical waveguides have been fabricated in z-cut LiNbO/sub 3/ using a new proton source: stearic acid. These waveguides were characterized optically and were found to exhibit a step index profile with Delta n=0.118 measured at 0.633 mu m. The propagation losses were typically around 1.5 dB/cm, and the diffusion constant and the activation energy for the proton-exchange process were measured to be 5*10/sup 6/ mu m/sup 2//h and 69 kJ/mol, respectively.<> 相似文献

Determination of the wettability of micron/sub-micron sized particles remains a great challenge. The present work proposes a new approach to evaluate the particle wettability by measuring the turbidity of particle suspension. The fine solid samples with varying wettability were prepared by hydrothermal treatment of oilsands bitumen at different temperatures. The turbidity of particle-in-toluene suspension was determined and correlated to the particle surface chemical composition, i.e., C/(Al?+?Si). A good linear relationship was observed between particle wettability and suspension turbidity. The results suggest suspension turbidity can be used to characterize the wettability of organically-modified fine solids in oilsands bitumen. 相似文献

Waste rolling oil (WRO) can be regenerated by inorganic flocculation-adsorption. Ferric hydroxide (Fe(OH)3) colloid prepared by the double decomposition reaction of FeCl3 and NaOH was selected as an inorganic flocculant. Fly ash, activated carbon, clay and silica gel were used as adsorbents to treat the WRO. Effects of different treatment conditions on the performance of the recycled oil were investigated. Results indicated that the recycled oil achieved optimum quality under the following conditions: flocculation time, 6?min; temperature, 60?°C; adsorption time, 20?min; and mass ratios of FeCl3-to-WRO, NaOH-to-FeCl3 and fly ash-to-WRO of 0.10, 3 and 0.03, respectively. NaOH combined with Fe(OH)3 effectively removed most macromolecular impurities, organic acids, lipids, and alcohols. Fly ash exerted the best adsorption rate and adsorption effect. In addition, physicochemical properties of the recycled oils were close to those of fresh oil. 相似文献

In order to clarify the hydrocarbon accumulation period of deep tight sandstone in Dabei-Keshen area of Kuqa depression, and to develop identification methods of reservoir fluid properties, a series of experiments were carried out. The results show that hydrocarbon inclusions are less distributed, and gaseous hydrocarbon is mainly methane. Hydrocarbon has been continuously charged since 12?Ma in Dabei gas field, and one main period of accumulation took place during 6–4?Ma for Keshen gas field. Late accumulation may limit the application of hydrocarbon inclusions abundance, rock soluble salt components to distinguish reservoir fluid properties. Carbon isotope composition of carbonate cement in tight sandstone is an effective indicator for gas-bearing properties. For gas layer, the carbon isotope is lighter than ?1.5‰ and ?2.5‰ for Dabei and Keshen gas field receptively. 相似文献
