Multiferroic materials have attracted much interest in the last decade due to both the intriguing fundamental science and the potential applications in spintronics and magnetoelectric data storage devices. In this work, we have investigated and discussed the evolution of the magnetic properties of the multiferroic (1-x)Pb(Fe2/3 W1/3)O3-xBiFeO3 solid solution ((1-x)PFW-xBFO, x = 0, 0.025, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1 and 0.15). The magnetic phase diagram is established based on the magnetic measurement results, which reveals six magnetically ordered states on the PFW-rich side of the solid solution. The origins of the complex evolution of magnetic order in the PFW-BFO solid solution are discussed from the point view of the variations in both the –Fe–O–Fe– and –Fe–O–W–O–Fe– superexchange routes, which are intimately related to the ratio of magnetic Fe3+ ion concentration on the B-site and the changes in the local structural order/disorder and chemical homogeneities. Combining the magnetic phase diagram with the relaxor characteristic phase diagram of the (1-x)PFW-xBFO system, a striking feature is found that the ergodic relaxor (ER) state and the weakly ferromagnetic phase coexist in the composition range of 0.025 ≤ x ≤ 0.1 between the freezing temperature Tf and the Burns temperature TB.  相似文献

A CCD camera operating at T = 65 K was mounted in the vacuum space of our nuclear demagnetization cryostat. This has allowed us to make observations of3He crystals at temperatures below the superfluid phase transitions, in contrast to direct optical observations, which have so far been limited to T 20 mK.1 The good thermal equilibrium provided by the superfluid allows us to nucleate single crystals of3He in the region of the cell visible to the optical system. This occurs either spontaneously (due either to gravitational pressure gradients or local surface defects) or as a result of a small applied heat pulse.  相似文献

Application of scanning probe microscopy techniques such as piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) opens the possibility to re‐visit the ferroelectrics previously studied by the macroscopic electrical testing methods and establish a link between their local nanoscale characteristics and integral response. The nanoscale PFM studies and phase field modeling of the static and dynamic behavior of the domain structure in the well‐known ferroelectric material lead germanate, Pb5Ge3O11, are reported. Several unusual phenomena are revealed: 1) domain formation during the paraelectric‐to‐ferroelectric phase transition, which exhibits an atypical cooling rate dependence; 2) unexpected electrically induced formation of the oblate domains due to the preferential domain walls motion in the directions perpendicular to the polar axis, contrary to the typical domain growth behavior observed so far; 3) absence of the bound charges at the 180° head‐to‐head (H–H) and tail‐totail (T–T) domain walls, which typically exhibit a significant charge density in other ferroelectrics due to the polarization discontinuity. This strikingly different behavior is rationalized by the phase field modeling of the dynamics of uncharged H–H and T–T domain walls. The results provide a new insight into the emergent physics of the ferroelectric domain boundaries, revealing unusual properties not exhibited by conventional Ising‐type walls.  相似文献

Stability of certain classes of nonlinear time-delay switched systems is studied. For the corresponding families of subsystems, conditions of the existence of common Lyapunov–Razumikhin functions are found. The fulfilment of these conditions provides the asymptotic stability of the zero solutions of the considered hybrid systems for any switching law and for any nonnegative delay. Some examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献

Target costing is a modern approach applied during product development that defines cost targets for products and its components. These cost targets are driven by customer requirements and achievable revenues. The intention of this paper is the integration of target costing with modern concepts of modelling uncertainty and management of risk based on optimisation. Contrary to the traditional focus of target costing on cost targets, this paper prefers a strategy for achieving a target profit. Moreover, in this paper target costing is understood as a continuous process with incremental changes of cost drivers, product and component design as well as product prices. Therefore, the change in costs and profit with respect to aforementioned control parameters is modelled by linear approximations. Hence, improved decisions concerning design and prices are derived by linear programming models. In practice, information concerning product and component costs, demand or customer preferences are not given with certainty. Therefore, we apply a stochastic programming approach to manage the risk inherent in the target costing process. After a general presentation, we apply our approach to the provision of an information and communication technology service where the level of uncertainty is considerable.  相似文献

Magnetization dynamics induced by spin–orbit torques in a heavy‐metal/ferromagnet can potentially be used to design low‐power spintronics and logic devices. Recent computations have suggested that a strain‐mediated spin–orbit torque (SOT) switching in magnetoelectric (ME) heterostructures is fast, energy‐efficient, and permits a deterministic 180° magnetization switching. However, its experimental realization has remained elusive. Here, the coexistence of the strain‐mediated ME coupling and the SOT in a CoFeB/Pt/ferroelectric hybrid structure is shown experimentally. The voltage‐induced strain only slightly modifies the efficiency of SOT generation, but it gives rise to an effective magnetic anisotropy and rotates the magnetic easy axis which eliminates the incubation delay in current‐induced magnetization switching. The phase field simulations show that the electric‐field‐induced effective magnetic anisotropy field can reduce the switching time approximately by a factor of three for SOT in‐plane magnetization switching. It is anticipated that such strain‐mediated ME‐SOT hybrid structures may enable field‐free, ultrafast magnetization switching.  相似文献

TiO2 (anatase) with different microstructure was synthesized by thermal hydrolysis of the titanyl sulfate and studied by X-ray powder diffraction, high resolution transmission electron microscopy and UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The effect of titanium dioxide structure, regular or distorted, on the photocatalytic degradation of Acid Orange 7 Dye (AO7) in water upon ultraviolet light was studied. It was found that synthesized TiO2 possesses a relatively high reactivity when illuminated but also show different adsorption in the dark. The relationship between these behaviors depends on the real structure of the catalysts. Catalysts with a perfect structural ordering formed after heating at temperature higher than 500 °C show better photocatalytic performance. Small amount of Pt added into the TiO2 structure was found to improve further the catalyst reactivity. Pt-modified titania catalysts oxidize AO7 more efficiently than P-25 Degussa TiO2. Doping effect of Pt on the structural and photocatalytic properties of the samples is discussed.  相似文献

A lack of knowledge about the construction of tight packingis now the main obstacle for a successful design of artificialproteins. In this paper we examine a way of close packing antiparallelß-sandwihes. We show that there are some ‘weakpoints’ at the surfaces of ß-sheets, which cannotbe filled by the surrounding aliphatic side chains that arethe most abundant. Theoretically, these ‘weak points‘can be filled either by aromatic side chains of the same sheetor by the residues of the other parts of the protein molecule.The analysis of protein structures shows that both possibilitiesare used by nature and that there are many cases when these‘weak points’ are not filled by any atom. They remainfree and form a majority of the defects of close packing inprotein globules.  相似文献

The preparation of chemisorbents based on tungsto- and molybdophosphoric acids supported on two types of synthetic mesoporous carbons and two types of mesoporous silica is described. Strong solid acids with good accessibility to acid sites may potentially be effective adsorbents for the removal of basic molecular impurities, such as amines, from ultrapure manufacturing environments. Prepared materials were characterised by scanning electron microscopy, nitrogen adsorption, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, and equilibrium ammonia uptake. Composites of SBA-15 with heteropolyacids were synthesised. It was shown that the inclusion of HPAs into SBA-15 results in the loss of long range order. Adsorbents based on the HPAs impregnated into the supports with the open-pore morphology (Novacarb and SBA-15) were found to be promising materials. A composite of tungstophosphoric acid with sol–gel SiO2 was found to have the highest ammonia uptake.  相似文献
