Features of combined instability of a charged interface between moving media

In solving the problem on the propagation of small-amplitude waves on a charged horizontal interface between two liquids, in the dispersion determinant derived, a term that is nonlinear with respect to the wave frequency combination and the velocity ratio between the upper and lower liquids has been obtained. The structure and the physical meaning of the equation obtained have been discussed. New developments in catalysts at AZKiOS Co. and their introduction in production

Data on new developments in catalysts at AZKiOS Co. for the petroleum, oil refining, and nitrogen industry are generalized. α → β phase transition of Ag<Subscript>2</Subscript>Te in the AgSbTe<Subscript>2</Subscript> alloy of the Ag-Sb-Te system

The effect of the Ag₂Te phase on the electrical conductivity, thermoelectric power, and Hall coefficient of the AgSbTe₂ alloy in the Ag-Sb-Te system has been studied at temperatures from 300 to 480 K. The results indicate that the phase transition of AgSbTe₂ is broadened by ～70% and is due to the α → β phase transition of Ag₂Te.     

Influence of temperature on photocurrent of amorphous semiconductor-based solar element

We have derived an expression for the temperature dependence of the short circuit current density of an amorphous hydrogenated silicon-based solar element (SE), using the experimental results The SE short circuit current density variations at low and high temperatures were studied. It was investigated how this parameter is associated with the potential barrier height and the value of the non-ideality (quality) factor in the solar element volt-ampere characteristics (VAC).     

Influence of nanosized iron oxides (II,III) on conversion of biodegradated oil

In the given paper, we evaluate the efficiency of iron oxide (magnetite in the form of water suspension) nanoparticles (50-120?nm) in intensification of cracking reactions of heavy components of biodegradated oil. The physical simulation of thermal influence on heavy oil in the presence of synthesized catalyst (concentration = 0.3%) was carried out in autoclave at temperature ranges of 150-300°С and reaction period of 24?hours. According to the results of SARA-analysis and dynamic viscosity measurements, the destructive hydrogenation processes that were catalyzed by iron oxide were conducted already at 200°С. However, the significant effect was achieved at 300°С (the degree of viscosity reduction was higher than 67%).     

Development and some photovoltaic parameters of a silicon solar generator with vertical p-n junctions

A new design of a silicon solar generator with vertical p-n junctions is described, and their photovoltaic parameters are given.
