Effect of thermal cycling on the stress-strain state of a rotating disk

The effect of repeated thermal cycling on the stress-strain state of a rotating disk is investigated. It is demonstrated that repeated temperature cycling in a given regime nearly doubles the deformation of the rotating disk. A microexplosion technique for modeling large-scale ejection explosions

Based on the theory of approximate similarity of soil-ejection underground explosions, a technique for laboratory modeling of this phenomenon by microexplosions has been developed. This paper describes the experimental setup and reports some results obtained from experiments on selection of a soil simulator and from experiments on elucidation of the atmospheric-pressure role with varied scales of the phenomenon. The role of proto-oncogenes in normal hemopoiesis and the genesis of leukosis

Results of investigations on the role of protooncogenes in the regulation of proliferation and differentiation of normal hemopoietic cells and in the pathogenesis of tumoral hemopoietic diseases are reviewed. The ways of the protooncogene activation in leukemias are discussed.     

Distributed smart system for monitoring the state of complex technical objects

Aspects of the design of measurement systems for monitoring the state of the earthbound infrastructure of complex technical objects are discussed. The concept of smart monitoring systems is introduced, results on the development and multilevel organization of these systems are presented, and the possibility of using wireless sensor networks in them is discussed.
