A new silicon controlled rectifier (SCR)-based transient detection circuit for on-chip protection design against system-level electrical transient disturbance is proposed. The circuit function to detect positive or negative electrical transients during system-level electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transient (EFT) tests has been verified in silicon chip. The experimental results in a 0.18-μm CMOS process have confirmed that the new proposed detection circuit can successfully memorize the occurrence of system-level electrical transient disturbance events. The detection results can be cooperated with firmware design to execute system recovery procedures, therefore the immunity of microelectronic systems against system-level ESD or EFT tests can be effectively improved.  相似文献

In this paper, a group-based fast symbol detection scheme is proposed for massive Group-wise Space–Time Block Code Multiple-Input Multiple-Output systems. The proposed scheme first chooses a number G, (e.g. \(G=4,6,8\)) as the size of each group and then conducts the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) detectors to facilitate symbol detection group by group. In particular, instead of directly using huge computational complexity to compute the MMSE detectors, the proposed scheme recursively finds the corresponding assistant matrices to determine the groups and calculate the MMSE detectors. As a result, the transmitted symbols can be recursively estimated group by group. Finally, simulation results and complexity analysis show the proposed scheme performs very close to the existing methods, while using lower computational complexity.  相似文献

The myrosinase activity and total glucosinolates of 10 different cruciferous vegetables and some properties of cabbage (Brassica oleracea L var capitata L) myrosinase were investigated. Radish, cabbage and broccoli showed higher myrosinase activity than other samples. No correlation (P > 0–05) was found between myrosinase activity and total glucosinolates of cruciferous vegetables tested. Myrosinase activity for white cabbage was higher than red cabbage. An optimal pH of myrosinase activity was observed at pH 8–0 for both white and red cabbages. The myrosinase extracted from cabbage was more stable in neutral or alkaline pH. The optimal temperature of myrosinase activity for both cabbages was about 60°C, but the myrosinase activity was destroyed after heating at 70°C for 30 min. The myrosinase activities of both white and red cabbages were activated by 10 mM and 5 mM ascorbic acid, respectively.  相似文献

This paper introduces a residential photovoltaic (PV) energy storage system, in which the PV power is controlled by a DC-DC power converter and transferred to a small battery energy storage system (BESS). For managing the power, a pattern of daily operation considering the load characteristic of the homeowner, the generation characteristic of the PV power, and the power-leveling demand of the electric utility is prescribed. The system looks up the pattern to select the operation mode, so that powers from the PV array, the batteries and the utility are utilized in a cost-effective manner. As for the control of the system, a novel control technique for the maximum power-point tracking (MPPT) of the PV array is proposed, in which the state-averaged model of the DC-DC power converter, including the dynamic model of the PV array, is derived. Accordingly, a high-performance discrete MPPT controller that tracks the maximum power point with zero-slope regulation and current-mode control is presented. With proposed arrangements on the control of the BESS and the current-to-power scaling factor setting, the DC-DC power converter is capable of combining with the BESS for performing the functions of power conditioning and active power filtering. An experimental 600 W system is implemented, and some simulation and experimental results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system  相似文献

Recently, Harn and Lin (1998) developed a two-phase authenticated key agreement protocol which enables two parties to share multiple secret keys. The first phase of their protocol is the most important part and can be used to deliver a sequence of temporary random public keys to the other party in an authenticated approach. This study aims at the fabrication of lightweight and high performance nanocomposite bipolar plates for the application in polymer electrode membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). The thin nanocomposite bipolar plates (the thickness <1.2 mm) consisting of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), graphite powder and PP were fabricated by means of compression molding. Three types of polypropylene (PP) with different crystallinities including high crystallinity PP (HC-PP), medium crystallinity PP (MC-PP), low crystallinity PP (LC-PP) were prepared to investigate the influence of crystallinity on the dispersion of MWCNTs in PP matrix. The optimum composition of original composite bipolar plates was determined at 80 wt.% graphite content and 20 wt.% PP content based on the measurements of electrical and mechanical properties with various graphite contents. Results also indicate that MWCNTs was dispersed better in LC-PP than other PP owing to enough dispersed regions in nanocomposite bipolar plates. This good MWCNT dispersion of LC-PP would cause better bulk electrical conductivity, mechanical properties and thermal stability of MWCNTs/PP nanocomposite bipolar plates. In the MWCNTs/LC-PP system, the bulk electrical conductivities with various MWCNT contents all exceed 100 S cm−1. The flexural strength of the MWCNTs/LC-PP nanocomposite bipolar plate with 8 phr of MWCNTs was approximately 37% higher than that of the original nanocomposite bipolar plate and the unnotched Izod impact strength of MWCNTs/LC-PP nanocomposite bipolar plates was also increased from 68.32 J m−1 (0 phr) to 81.40 J m−1 (8 phr), increasing 19%. In addition, the coefficient of thermal expansion of MWCNTs/LC-PP nanocomposite bipolar plate was decreased from 32.91 μm m−1 °C−1 (0 phr) to 25.79 μm m−1 °C−1 (8 phr) with the increasing of MWCNT content. The polarization curve of MWCNTs/LC-PP nanocomposite bipolar plate compared with graphite bipolar plate was also evaluated. These results confirm that the addition of MWCNTs in LC-PP leads to a significant improvement on the cell performance of the nanocomposite bipolar plate.  相似文献

A simple and efficient recursive formula to calculate the S-parameters of large, finite periodic structures is introduced. The technique utilizes measured or computed S matrices of structures with a small number of periods. The formula is verified on a simple rectangular waveguide with periodic gratings. Results from the formula are plotted against similar results obtained from finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations, and they show excellent agreement. This formula can be used to compute the S-parameters of large microwave or optical periodic structures, which, by virtue of their finiteness may not be open to the application of periodic boundary conditions  相似文献

A hybrid wireless-optical broadband access network (WOBAN) is a promising architecture for future access networks. Recently, the WOBAN has been gaining increasing attention, and early versions are being deployed as municipal access solutions. This architecture saves on network deployment cost because fiber need not penetrate to each end user. However, a major research opportunity exists in developing an efficient routing algorithm for the wireless front-end of the WOBAN. We propose and investigate the characteristics of the delay-aware routing algorithm (DARA) that minimizes the average packet delay in the wireless front-end of a WOBAN. In DARA we model wireless routers as queues and predict wireless link states periodically. Our performance studies show that DARA achieves less delay and congestion, and improved load balancing compared to traditional approaches such as the minimum-hop routing algorithm, shortest-path routing algorithm, and predictive throughput routing algorithm.  相似文献

The proliferation of communication and mobile computing devices and local‐area wireless networks has cultivated a growing interest in location‐aware systems and services. An essential problem in location‐aware computing is the determination of physical locations. RFID technologies are gaining much attention, as they are attractive solutions to indoor localization in many healthcare applications. In this paper, we propose a new indoor localization methodology that aims to deploying RFID technologies in achieving accurate location‐aware undertakings with real‐time computation. The proposed algorithm introduces means to improve the accuracy of the received RF signals. Optimal settings for the parameters in terms of reader and reference tag properties were investigated through simulations and experiments. The experimental results indicate that our indoor localization methodology is promising in applications that require fast installation, low cost and high accuracy. In this paper, a two-dimensional mutually coupled oscillator array is studied for the application of a beam-scanning and polarization-agile antenna array. In the design of antenna array, a two-dimensional oscillator array is implemented in x-y plane, the polarization agility is provided by one dimension (or y-direction) and the other dimension (or x-direction) is for beam scanning. By properly tuning the free-running frequencies of these oscillators, the array radiation direction can be scanned at the selected polarization states including linearly polarized, left-hand and right-hand circularly polarized states. The maximal phase difference of /spl plusmn/180/spl deg/ between coupled oscillating signals is acquired by utilizing their second-harmonic signals. This then gives well-defined phase differences among oscillators for beam scanning in addition to the required quadrature phase difference for circular polarization. The performances of polarization agility and beam scanning for a four-element antenna array are verified experimentally and shown to have the potential for adaptive antenna array applications.  相似文献
