Qualitativ-quantitative Simulation, ein Instrument zur Analyse nichtlinearer Regelkreise

Qualitative-quantitative simulation is one of the most productive and promising research areas in Artificial Intelligence to emerge in recent years. This method provides an elegant way for an exhaustive analysis of uncertain dynamic systems. The application of the qualitative-quantitative simulation is shown in this paper. The important question about the stability of a quanlitatively described dynamical system is solved by a novel analytic method.     

Codierte Modulation in modernen Übertragungssystemen

Modern communication systems offer high speed and reliable data transmission services. The quality of these services is achieved by combining coded multi-level modulation techniques and modern digital signal processing (Viterbi-decoding) in the receiver. In this paper we first present an introduction to Trellis Coded Modulation (TCM) and then some new results on unversal techniques adapted for the AWGN-channel as well as for the fading channel. It is shown that TCM is well suited for communication channels with time variant characteristics (e.g. mobile communication channels), especially when our new codes are applied.     

Formation of titanium and cobalt germanides on Si (100) using rapid thermal processing

Titanium and cobalt germanides have been formed on Si (100) substrates using rapid thermal processing. Germanium was deposited by rapid thermal chemical vapor deposition prior to metal evaporation. Solid phase reactions were then performed using rapid thermal annealing in either Ar or N₂ ambients. Germanide formation has been found to occur in a manner similar to the formation of corresponding silicides. The sheet resistance was found to be dependent on annealing ambient (Ar or N₂) for titanium germanide formation, but not for cobalt germanide formation. The resistivities of titanium and cobalt germanides were found to be 20 μΩ-cm and 35.3μΩ-cm, corresponding to TiGe₂ and Co₂Ge, respectively. During solid phase reactions of Ti with Ge, we have found that the Ti₆Ge₅ phase forms prior to TiGe₂. The TiGe₂ phase was found to form approximately at 800° C. Cobalt germanide formation was found to occur at relatively low temperatures (425° C); however, the stability of the material is poor at elevated temperatures.     

A functional-dependencies-based Bayesian networks learning method and its application in a mobile commerce system.

This paper presents a new method for learning Bayesian networks from functional dependencies (FD) and third normal form (3NF) tables in relational databases. The method sets up a linkage between the theory of relational databases and probabilistic reasoning models, which is interesting and useful especially when data are incomplete and inaccurate. The effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method is demonstrated by its implementation in a mobile commerce system.     

富氧氮氧化硅薄膜退火的研究

利用红外吸收(IR)谱和X射线光电子谱(XPS)对富氧氮氧化硅(oxygen-rich SiOxNy)及其在600、750和900℃下退火后样品的微结构进行了研究.实验中除观察到N、H的释放外,首次发现退火会导致SiOxNy中O的释放,同时还发现退火温度不同,H、O、N元素的释放量以及微结构的变化都不相同,根据这些现象,提出了5个化学反应过程并予以解释.     

厌氧胶快速渗补技术在汽车发动机上的应用

将金属铜易与过氧化物发生氧化还原反应生成游离基的原理应用于厌氧胶，开发了针时金属零件表面微孔进行局部渗补的实用技术。在相关技术可靠性和工艺可行性得以论证的前提下。将局部渗补技术成功地应用于渗补发动机泄漏缸盖，减少了废品损失，取得了良好的经济效益。

Adsorption and decomposition of H2S on Pd(1 1 1) surface: a first-principles study

Gradient-corrected density functional theory was used to investigate the adsorption of H₂S on Pd(1 1 1) surface. Molecular adsorption was found to be stable with H₂S binding preferentially at top sites. In addition, the adsorption of other S moieties (SH and S) was investigated. SH and S were found to be preferentially bind at the bridge and fcc sites, respectively. The reaction pathways and energy profiles for H₂S decomposition giving rise to adsorbed S and H were determined. Both H₂S_(ad) → SH_(ad) + H_(ad) and SH_(ad) → S_(ad) + H_(ad) reactions were found to have low barriers and high exothermicities. This reveals that the decomposition of H₂S on Pd(1 1 1) surface is a facile process.
