The effects of wall hydrocolloids on delivery and bioaccessibility of encapsulated brewers’ spent grain ACE-I inhibitory peptides after simulated gastrointestinal digestion were assessed. Microencapsulation of peptides was carried out by spray drying using locust bean gum, P. columbina phycocolloids, or its mixtures as wall materials. Microcapsules presented round external surfaces with some concavities, negative surface charge and encapsulation efficiencies higher than 90%. The incorporation of phycocolloids to formulations increased the encapsulation efficiency, negative surface charge and resistance against digestive enzymes of microcapsules. Encapsulated peptides with P. columbina phycocolloids showed lower IC50 value of ACE-I inhibition than un-encapsulated peptides (2.4 ± 0.2 vs. 7.2 ± 0.3 mg mL−1 protein), but higher than that obtained for hydrolysate (1.5 ± 0.2 mg mL−1 protein), indicating a 75% protection of bioactivity. Electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions between P. columbina phycocolloids and brewers’ spent grain peptides could be implicated in the protection of peptides during gastrointestinal digestion.  相似文献

Effects of white sorghum brewing process on free amino-acids, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), phenolics and bioactivity, including antioxidant (by ABTS+ and reducing power, RP, methods), antihypertensive (angiotensin converting enzyme-I, ACE-I inhibition assay), and hypoglycaemic activity (α-glucosidase inhibition assay) were evaluated. From the wort to the beer, free amino acids decreased, but GABA and phenolics increased significantly, positively modifying the bioactive potential. ABTS and α-glucosidase inhibition activity correlated positively with at least one of the phenolic acids evaluated. Ale white sorghum beer presented high content of GABA (7.8 mg L−1), phenolics (40.7 mg total phenolic acids L−1), antioxidant activity (9.14 mmol Trolox equivalent L−1, and 48.8 mmol ascorbic acid equivalent L−1, for ABTS+ and RP, respectively), and exhibit ACE-I inhibition (1.0 μg captopril equivalent L−1) and α-glucosidase inhibition (34.5 mg acarbose equivalent L−1) activities. The level of bioactive compounds and its low ethanol content (2.3%), make beer obtained from malted white sorghum a potential functional beverage.  相似文献

α,α′-Trehalose plays roles in the synthesis of several cell wall components involved in pathogenic mycobacteria virulence. Its absence in mammalian biochemistry makes trehalose-related biochemical processes potential targets for chemotherapy. The trehalose 6-phosphate synthase (TPS)/trehalose 6-phosphate phosphatase (TPP) pathway, also known as the OtsA/OtsB2 pathway, is the major pathway involved in the production of trehalose in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). In addition, TPP is essential for Mtb survival. We describe the synthesis of α,α′-trehalose derivatives in the forms of the 6-phosphonic acid 4 (TMP), the 6-methylenephosphonic acid 5 (TEP), and the 6-N-phosphonamide 6 (TNP). These non-hydrolyzable substrate analogues of TPP were examined as inhibitors of Mtb, Mycobacterium lentiflavum (Mlt), and Mycobacterium triplex (Mtx) TPP. In all cases the compounds were most effective in inhibiting Mtx TPP, with TMP [IC50=(288±32) μm ] acting most strongly, followed by TNP [IC50=(421±24) μm ] and TEP [IC50=(1959±261) μm ]. The results also indicate significant differences in the analogue binding profile when comparing Mtb TPP, Mlt TPP, and Mtx TPP homologues.  相似文献

We consider the class of graphs each of whose components is either a path or a cycle. We classify the graphs from the class considered into those which are determined and those which are not determined by the adjacency spectrum. In addition, we compare the result with the corresponding results for the Laplacian and the signless Laplacian spectra. It turns out that the signless Laplacian spectrum performs the best, confirming some expectations from the literature.  相似文献

The paper deals with the application of model reference adaptive control to robot impedance control, which is actually a technique of steering the end-effector on a prescribed path and satisfying a prescribed dynamic relationship between the force and the end-effector position. Due to unknown parameters of the environment (stiffness, exact position), a model reference algorithm is proposed which differs from classical algorithms in its method of excitation. The results of the proposed procedure are illustrated by implementation on the ASEA IRb 6 industrial robot.  相似文献

The practical application of high impact polystyrene (HIPS) depends on the resistance to aging in aggressive environments. The investigation of morphological, mechanical, and chemical properties was made on HIPS samples of various thickness. The property deterioration of HIPS caused by concentrated nitric acid and heat was studied. The diffusion through micropores formed visible cracks that finally led to the complete destruction into a powder. The rapid loss in mechanical properties was explained in terms of scission reaction of the graft polybutadiene (PB) with the homopolystyrene (PS) matrix. Comparative measurements of pure PS and PB under the same conditions were helpful in resolving parallel reactions that preferentially take place in PS and/or in PB sequences. It was established that higher degree of nitration caused by higher temperature results in increased insolubility owing to parallel crosslinking reactions. The nitric acid attack on HIPS caused scission reactions, which also led to the oxidative degradation, more pronounced in the PS phase in the soluble part of HIPS.  相似文献

We have studied mechanical and rheological behavior of poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAC) composites filled with calcite as a function of filler particle geometry, particle size distribution, and active surface area. Detailed morphological characteristic were investigated. Tensile properties of PVAC composites were evaluated in the composition range 5–20 wt% calcite. The elongation at break decreases as consequence of matrix mobility restriction by filer particles. By contrast, the strength at break increases as a result of fewer stress concentration points produced by small calcite particles. Large calcite particles decrease the strength of the PVAC composite because of lack of structural continuity. Failure is then dominated by the dewetting. Understanding the deformation as it relates to structure, mechanism of failure, and strength of interactions makes development of improved PVAC composites for adhesives possible.  相似文献

Thermal stability of poly(methyl methacrylate-co-butyl acrylate) and poly(styrene-co-butyl acrylate) modified with a small amount of acrylic acid and/or N-methylolacrylamide as a crosslinking agent was studied in this work. Programmed thermogravimetric analysis has been used to study the effect of copolymer composition on thermal stability, over a temperature range from 50 to 450°C, under a constant flow of nitrogen. Kinetic parameters of thermal degradation, activation energy, pre-exponential factor, and reaction order were obtained by using MacCallum-Tanner's approach. Kinetic data indicate that the thermal degradation of the investigated copolymer systems is the first order reaction, and that the increase of activation energy may be an indication of thermal stability changes in copolymer systems.  相似文献

A patient is described who presented with an eruption of tiny follicular keratotic papules on the limbs and the trunk accompanied by profuse hair loss. Histologically, a diagnosis of keratosis pilaris was made. The eruption cleared spontaneously in 3 months with complete regrowth of hair. Neither atrophy nor scarring remained. This appears to be the first reported case of keratosis pilaris decalvans non-atrophicans.  相似文献
