Aspirative lipectomy in patients with alimentary-constitutional obesity

The results of aspirative lipectomy in patients with 2nd and 3rd stage of alimentary-constitutional obesity are analysed. The effectiveness of lipectomy with surgical creation of a small ventricle and without previous surgery, has been demonstrated. The criteria of patients selection, based on their somatic and psychic features, are formulated. Aspirative lipectomy has certain advantages over other types of plastic surgery as it has the minimal rate of postoperative complications.     

Nonlinearity estimation of scanning on a scanning electron microscope

The nonlinearity of scanning on a scanning electron microscope (SEM) of nanorelief elements with known geometric profile shapes is estimated. The average pitch value of the relief test structure is measured, when the studied sample is shifted along the X-axis (scanning axis). As an index that characterizes the nonlinearity of the SEM scanning with the stated sample displacements, the relative mean-square deviation from the average pitch value of the test structure is selected. It is experimentally shown that, when the magnification is 20k, this value is 0.4%, which is in the tolerance error range.     

Competence Evaluation in Accreditation with the Right to Certify Methods of Making Measurements

A methodological approach is given to evaluating competence in a metrological service for accreditation for certifying measurement methods, for which special test techniques are used in which preset errors are incorporated. This provides reliable identification of whether the staff have satisfactory competence in such certification.

The influence of point and distributed loads on the stress-strain state of aluminum-oxide ceramic cutting plates is investigated. The nonlinear properties of aluminum oxide and gray iron are taken into account.
