One of the effective techniques for improving separation properties of polymeric membranes is incorporation of suitable nanoparticles into their matrices. This study presents the preparation of three types of nanocomposite membranes comprising three grades of poly (ether-block-amide) (Pebax 1074, Pebax 1657 and Pebax 2533) and modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with different loadings (1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 wt%). The prepared membranes were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), attenuated total reflection-Fourier transfer infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Permeation of CO2 and CH4 gases through the prepared membranes was measured at the pressure range of 2-8 bars and 25 °C. The results showed that the incorporation of MWCNTs into the polymers matrices improves CO2/CH4 selectivity. Further, Pebax 1074/MWCNT nanocomposite membrane exhibits better performance for CO2/CH4 separation compared to the neat Pebax and the two other nanocomposite membranes.  相似文献

The effect of the frying temperature, frying duration and the addition of NaCl on the formation of 3‐monochloropropane‐1,2‐diol (3‐MCPD) esters and glycidyl esters (GE) in palm olein after deep frying was examined in this study. The eight frying systems were deep‐fat frying (at 160 and 180 °C) of chicken breast meat (CBM) (with 0, 1, 3 and 5% sodium chloride, NaCl) for 100 min/day for five consecutive days. All oil samples collected after each day were analyzed for 3‐MCPD ester, GE, and free fatty acid (FFA) contents, specific extinctions at 232 and 268 nm (K232 and K268), p‐anisidine value (pA), and fatty acid composition. There was a significant (p < 0.05) decrease in the 3‐MCPD esters and a significant (p < 0.05) decrease in the GE with the increasing of the frying duration. There were significant (p < 0.05) increases in the 3‐MCPD esters formed when the concentration of NaCl increased from 0 to 5%. The addition of NaCl to the CBM during deep frying had no significant effect on the GE generation. The FFA contents, K232 and K268 and pA showed that all the frying oils were within the safety limit.  相似文献

New coding schemes are increasingly being developed to adapt multisensor and communication systems to the requirements of the current technological environment. In some cases, the practical implementation of these schemes involves a great amount of signal processing operations. In order to achieve and make suitable their use in different platforms, efficient algorithms are required to process coding. In the last years, a new kind of complementary sequences, known as Generalized Pairwise Complementary sequences, has been proposed. These sequences provide high noise immunity when they are applied to multiuser systems, as well as a low cross‐correlation, which is convenient in those applications. The aim of this paper is to propose optimized generation and correlation architectures for Generalized Pairwise Complementary sequences that would allow to process a complete set using a reduced amount of operations.  Short-time blanched (2 min, 90  °C), long-time blanched (30 min, 90  °C) and non-blanched potato slices were dried in a convective air drier and their mechanical and rehydration properties were compared. Blanching increased the flexibility and strength of dried potato slices, although the effects of short and long blanching were not significantly different. Unblanched potato slices did not have larger rehydration ratios than blanched ones. After rehydration for 30 min, samples from all treatments had higher strength and flexibility than cooked potatoes. Reinforced hepatitis B (HB) vaccination schedules have been tested in nonresponsive hemodialysis (HD) patients. Primary high-dose intradermal (ID) vaccination in HD has been proposed in one study with higher seroconversion rate, but no cost analysis was made. The aim of this prospective study was to confirm this previous report and focus on a cost-effectiveness evaluation of the thorough vaccination with a maintenance program. Thirty-five chronic incident HD patients received primary ID HB vaccination with a reinforced schedule (20 microg Engerix-B every 2 weeks). Revaccination with a monthly single ID dose of 20 microg was performed whenever anti-HBs titer fell under 20 IU/L and continued until a titer of 20 U/L was reached. Outcome measures were cumulative seroconversion rates, mean levels of anti-HBs, maintenance booster doses, rate of seroprotection at the end of the 2-year follow-up and subsequent costs. The present study was associated with an earlier peak of anti-HBs titer (3.9+/-1.7 months) and a higher cumulative seroconversion rate (96.9%) after 1 year. Moreover, a low-booster shot (17.4 microg) of ID Engerix-B/year/patient confers a 100% seroprotection for all responders for a second-year period. The mean cost of our schedule is 127.7 euro/patient for a 2-year period, revaccination included. This current study demonstrates that primary reinforced ID HB vaccination with a maintenance program for a 2-year period warrants the best cost-effectiveness ratio with rapid and sustained seroprotection in almost all HD patients.  相似文献

Delamination/exfoliation process of the Mg-vermiculite (Letovice, Czech Republic), particles with size less than 5 microm, was studied after potassium persulfate treatment and compared with known method utilized hydrogen peroxide treatment. X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) patterns showed that treatment of Mg-vermiculite with different molar concentration of potassium persulfate: c = 0.02, 0.04, and 0.08 mol x dm(-3) at the temperature 60 degrees C for 2 hr caused reduction of relative intensity (I(rel.)) of the basal 001 diffraction to the 15%, 9%, and 4%, respectively, compared to intensity of 001 diffraction of untreated Mg-vermiculite (I(rel.) = 100%). On the other hand I(rel.) of the 001 diffraction of Mg-vermiculite after treatment with 30% and 50% (c = 9.8 and 17.4 mol x dm(-3)) hydrogen peroxide at the 60 degrees C for 2 hr decreased only to I(rel.) = 36% and 32%, respectively. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) verified effect of potassium persulfate treatment on structure degradation which is connected with higher degree of delamination/exfoliation of the particles and their cracking into nano-sized particles.  相似文献

Mechanical and thermal properties of thermal sprayed coatings, especially ceramics, are strongly influenced by cracks and pores that are present in the coating microstructure. In the recent past, there have been efforts to find an analytical model describing the coating properties based on the microstructural characteristics. Various analytical models were developed and published in the literature. In this study, several major models were applied to ceramic and metal coatings to describe their elastic modulus and thermal conductivity. The sensitivity of the models to the variations in the microstructure and relevancy of their use in specific cases were examined. The results were compared with those obtained by FEM modeling and experimentally measured values.  相似文献
