In cloud data centers, the consolidation of workload is one of the phases during which the available hosts are allocated tasks. This phenomenon ensures that the least possible number of hosts is used without compromise in meeting the Service Level Agreement (SLA). To consolidate the workloads, the hosts are segregated into three categories: normal hosts, under-loaded hosts, and overloaded hosts based on their utilization. It is to be noted that the identification of an extensively used host or underloaded host is challenging to accomplish. Threshold values were proposed in the literature to detect this scenario. The current study aims to improve the existing methods that choose the underloaded hosts, get rid of Virtual Machines (VMs) from them, and finally place them in some other hosts. The researcher proposes a Host Resource Utilization Aware (HRUAA) Algorithm to detect those underloaded and place its virtual machines on different hosts in a vibrant Cloud environment. The mechanism presented in this study is contrasted with existing mechanisms empirically. The results attained from the study establish that numerous hosts can be shut down, while at the same time, the user's workload requirement can also be met. The proposed method is energy-efficient in workload consolidation, saves cost and time, and leverages active hosts.  相似文献

Tobacco leaves (Nicotiana tabacum L.), agricultural soil and pollute irrigated lake water samples were collected during 2005–2006 and analyzed for Cd and Ni by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). A simple and efficient procedure was investigated for the complete decomposition of tobacco leaves using ultrasonic assisted acid pseudo-digestion method (UPDM). A Plackett–Burman experimental design was used as a multivariate strategy for the evaluation of seven factors/variables at once, while central composite were used to found optimum values of significant variables. The accuracy of the proposed methods was assessed by analyzing certified reference (CRM); Virginia tobacco leaves (CTA-VTL-2). The results being compared with those obtained by conventional wet acid digestion method. The result obtained by optimized method showed good agreement with the certified values and sufficiently high recovery 97.8 and 98.7% for Cd and Ni, respectively. Under optimal conditions, the detection limits (3σ) were evaluated to be 0.019 μg g−1 for Cd and 0.37 μg g−1 for Ni. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of Cd and Ni in raw, processed tobacco and different branded cigarettes samples.  相似文献

Effects of 150 MeV Ni11+ swift heavy ion (SHI) irradiation on copper ferrite nanoparticles have been studied at the fluences of 1 × 1011, 1 × 1012, 1 × 1013, 1 × 1014 and 5 × 1014 ions/cm2. The XRD pattern shows the irradiation fluence dependant preferential orientation. Scanning electron microscope analysis displays fine blocks of material for pristine while partial agglomeration on irradiation. Notably, a large number of holes are present at the fluence of 5 × 1014 ions/cm2. The magnetization measurements performed in these samples exposes that the coercivity and remanence magnetization value increases due to the magnetocrystalline anisotropy up to the fluence of 1 × 1013 ions/cm2. At 1 × 1014 ions/cm2 fluence, the induced thermal energy overcomes the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant and causes a decrease in coercivity and remanence values. The saturation magnetization decreases up to the fluence of 1 × 1013 ions/cm2 and then it increases for further irradiation. The change of crystalline orientation observed from XRD, the creation of holes from SEM and the change in magnetic properties are discussed on the basis of electro-phonon coupling and it invokes the thermal spike theory.  相似文献

An optimisation study of the large‐scale enzymatic synthesis of a liquid wax ester from oleic acid and oleyl alcohol using Novozym 435 was carried out. Investigations were performed in batch mode with a stirred tank reactor (STR) with one multi‐bladed impeller. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on a five‐level, three‐variable central composite rotatable design (CCRD) was used to evaluate the interactive effects of various parameters. The parameters are amount of enzyme (A) (90–120 g), impeller speed (B) (100–400 rpm) and temperature (C) (40–60 °C). The optimum conditions derived via RSM at a fixed reaction time of 1 h were successfully optimised as A = 104 g, B = 388.0 rpm and C = 49.7 °C. The actual experimental yield was 96.7% under the optimum conditions, which compared well with the maximum predicted value of 97.6%. Copyright © 2005 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Primary liver cancer is a heterogeneous disease. Liver cancer metabolism includes both the reprogramming of intracellular metabolism to enable cancer cells to proliferate inappropriately and adapt to the tumor microenvironment and fluctuations in regular tissue metabolism. Currently, metabolomics and metabolite profiling in liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have been in the spotlight in terms of cancer diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy. Metabolomics is the global analysis of small molecules, chemicals, and metabolites. Metabolomics technologies can provide critical information about the liver cancer state. Here, we review how liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, and HCC therapies interact with metabolism at the cellular and systemic levels. An overview of liver metabolomics is provided, with a focus on currently available technologies and how they have been used in clinical and translational research. We also list scalable methods, including chemometrics, followed by pathway processing in liver cancer. We conclude that important drivers of metabolomics science and scientific technologies are novel therapeutic tools and liver cancer biomarker analysis.  相似文献
