Machine learning or data mining technologies are often used in network intrusion detection systems. An intrusion detection system based on machine learning utilizes a classifier to infer the current state from the observed traffic attributes. The problem with learning-based intrusion detection is that it leads to false positives and so incurs unnecessary additional operation costs. This paper investigates a method to decrease the false positives generated by an intrusion detection system that employs a decision tree as its classifier. The paper first points out that the information-gain criterion used in previous studies to select the attributes in the tree-constructing algorithm is not effective in achieving low false positive rates. Instead of the information-gain criterion, this paper proposes a new function that evaluates the goodness of an attribute by considering the significance of error types. The proposed function can successfully choose an attribute that suppresses false positives from the given attribute set and the effectiveness of using it is confirmed experimentally. This paper also examines the more trivial leaf rewriting approach to benchmark the proposed method. The comparison shows that the proposed attribute evaluation function yields better solutions than the leaf rewriting approach.

Site-specific electronic structures were investigated by electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) under electron channeling conditions. The Al-K and Mn-L(2,3) electron energy loss near-edge structure (ELNES) of, respectively, NiAl2O4 and Mn3O4 were measured. Deconvolution of the raw spectra with the instrumental resolution function restored the blunt and hidden fine features, which allowed us to interpret the experimental spectral features by comparing with theoretical spectra obtained by first-principles calculations. The present method successfully revealed the electronic structures specific to the differently coordinated cationic sites.  相似文献

Nuclear spin-lattice relaxation properties of hcp solid 3He with 4He impurities have been studied. At temperatures below the exchange plateau region, three kinds of relaxation time were observed. To analyze the data, a phenomenological four-bath model was developed, the four baths being the Zeeman bath, the phonon bath, an X-bath, and a Y-bath. The X-bath consists of the exchange bath and a part of the 4He-4He elastic interaction bath. The Y-bath is the main part of the elastic interaction bath. We measured the concentration dependence of the energy constants of all the baths, as well as the temperature and concentration dependences of the three kinds of relaxation time. The relaxation behavior corresponding to the process between the X-bath and the Y-bath could not be expressed by a single exponential function of time and the relaxation rate was strongly dependent on the concentration. This process may be related to the internal thermal equilibrium process within the elastic interaction bath. The impurity-dependent relaxation time between the X-bath and the phonon bath had a temperature dependence of T –n with n = 7.4±0.3.  相似文献

In a previous paper, we discussed the Estimated Ecological Daily Intake (EEDI), which is a new method for the estimating daily intake of environmental contaminants based on individual food consumption data. This method makes it possible to identify high-risk cases, using a Monte Carlo simulation for varying contamination levels in each food item and permits epidemiological assessment of the individual, rather than the population, intake of environmental contaminants. We attempted to identify those contaminants whose maximum dietary levels were most commonly exceeded. The results obtained were as follows: 1) After a 1,000-fold extrapolation, performed for each person and contaminant, some cases exceeded allowable maximums in dieldrin, lead, cadmium, and total mercury. In dieldrin and lead intake, few cases exceeded dieldrin and lead maximums by a factor of 2 or 3, but in the cases of cadmium and total mercury, individual maximum intake was significantly exceeded. 2) After estimating a high-risk individual's times of exceeding the allowance in cadmium intake with dietary improvement, we found a 10.5% excess intake after 40% improvement. Clearly, the issue of environmental contaminants exposure due to dietary intake is a significant one.  相似文献

Anodization techniques by alternating current (ac) are introduced in this review. By using ac anodization, laminated alumina films are fabricated. Different types of alumina films consisting of 50–200 nm layers were obtained by varying both the ac power supply and the electrolyte. The total film thickness increased with an increase in the total charge transferred. The thickness of the individual layers increased with the ac voltage; however, the anodization time had little effect on the film thickness. The laminated alumina films resembled the nacre structure of shells, and the different morphologies exhibited by bivalves and spiral shells could be replicated by controlling the rate of increase of the applied potentials.  相似文献

Bulk multifilled n- and p-type skutterudites with La as the main filler were fabricated using the spark plasma sintering (SPS) method. The thermoelectric properties and thermal stability of these skutterudites were investigated. It was found that the interactions among the filling atoms also play a vital role in reducing the lattice thermal conductivity of the multifilled skutterudites. ZT = 0.76 for p-type La0.8Ba0.01Ga0.1Ti0.1Fe3CoSb12 and ZT = 1.0 for n-type La0.3Ca0.1Al0.1Ga0.1In0.2Co3.75Fe0.25Sb12 skutterudites have been achieved. Furthermore, the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results show that there is no skutterudite phase decomposition till 750°C for the La0.8Ba0.01Ga0.1Ti0.1Fe3CoSb12 sample. The thermal stability of the La0.8Ba0.01Ga0.1Ti0.1Fe3CoSb12 skutterudite is greatly improved. Using the developed multifilled skutterudites, the fabricated module with size of 50 mm × 50 mm × 7.6 mm possesses maximum output power of 32 W under the condition of hot/cold sides = 600°C/50°C.  相似文献

We determined phase equilibria in the Co-rich Co-Al-W-Ti quaternary system at a temperature range between 900 °C and 1200 °C with a close attention to the thermodynamic stability of the γ′-Co3(Al, W, Ti) (L12) phase, based on micro-structure observation and electron microprobe analysis on bulk alloy samples heat-treated for periods up to 2000 h. In the quaternary system the single phase field of γ′ extends from the Co-Ti binary edge to a composition of Co-5Al-8.5W-8Ti (in at.%) at 900 °C. At the tip of the single phase field, the γ′ phase is in equilibrium with the γ-Co (A1), Co2AlTi (L21) and Co3W (D019) phases. The constructed vertical section of phase diagram between Co-9.4Al-9.6W and Co-16.5Ti indicates that there is a narrow composition range around Co-4.5Al-5.4W-7.5Ti in which the γ single phase field exists at high temperatures above 1200 °C and two-phase of γ+γ′ is thermodynamically stable at low temperatures below 1100 °C.  相似文献

The effects of different copper fillers with different morphology and particle size have been studied in terms of electrical resistivity and thermal stability on the electrically conductive adhesives. The copper fillers used in this study were prepared by wet chemical reduction, electrolytic and gas atomization method, respectively. The as cured ECAs filled with different type of Cu fillers showed significant difference in electrical resistivity. Cu filler with smaller particle size showed higher packing density and larger surface area, which would enhance formation of conductive channels and increased conductive network in the ECAs, leading to a lower electrical resistivity. In addition, thermal stability of the ECAs were investigated under high temperature exposure at 125 °C and high humidity aging at 85 °C/85% RH for 1,000 h. Results showed that ECAs with Cu fillers of relatively small particle size and rough particle surface have excellent thermal stability due to enhanced adhesion and contact area between Cu fillers and the polymer matrix. A very low resistivity at an order of magnitude of 10?4 ?? cm could be maintained for these ECAs after 1,000 h at 125 and 85 °C/85% RH.  相似文献

The incorporation of Eu ions into GaN has been studied using combined excitation-emission spectroscopy for samples that were in situ doped during organometallic vapor-phase epitaxy (OMVPE) growth. The obtained fingerprints of characteristic emission spectra are subsequently used to determine the coupling of the Eu ions to the crystal lattice. We find a majority site, which exhibits coupling to bulk-like phonon modes as well as a localized phonon mode. For this site, we also find that the zero-phonon line of the 7F0 to 5D0 transition, which is forbidden, is much weaker than the phonon-coupled excitation transitions. The ratio of zero-phonon to phonon-coupled transition strength depends on the crystalline quality of the layer. These observations are consistent with the assignment of the majority site to an unperturbed Eu ion on Ga position. We find that the relative abundance of the majority site is strongly underestimated whenever the zero-phonon 7F0 to 5D0 excitation transition is used as a measure.  相似文献

YVO4:Bi3+,Eu3+ nanophosphor synthesized by the citrate route shows the photobleaching behavior, i.e., the decrease in photoluminescence intensity under the continuous irradiation of excitation light. This photobleaching property is remarkably suppressed by the washing post-treatment combined with centrifugation and the hydrothermal post-treatment. A relation between the fraction of photobleach and the amount of citrate ions coordinating to metallic ions at the surface of nanoparticles verifies that the photobleaching behavior of YVO4:Bi3+,Eu3+ nanophosphor originates from the redox reaction between the citrate ions and V5+ in YVO4 host crystal. The long-term light fastness test reveals that the hydrothermally treated YVO4:Bi3+,Eu3+ nanophosphor has sufficient photostability for practical use over 15 years outside.  相似文献
