A regenerative tin liquid microjet target was developed for a high average power extreme ultraviolet (EUV) source. The diameter of the target was smaller than 160 microm and good vacuum lower than 0.5 Pa was maintained during the operation. A maximum EUV conversion efficiency of 1.8% at the Nd:yttrium-aluminum-garnet laser intensity of around 2 x 10(11) Wcm(2) with a spot diameter of 175 microm (full width at half maximum) was observed. The angular distribution of the EUV emission remained almost isotropic, whereas suprathermal ions mainly emerged toward the target normal.  相似文献

This paper presents a systematic theoretical and numerical evaluation of three common block preconditioners in a Krylov subspace method for solving symmetric indefinite linear systems. The focus is on large‐scale real world problems where block approximations are a practical necessity. The main illustration is the performance of the block diagonal, constrained, and lower triangular preconditioners over a range of block approximations for the symmetric indefinite system arising from large‐scale finite element discretization of Biot's consolidation equations. This system of equations is of fundamental importance to geomechanics. Numerical studies show that simple diagonal approximations to the (1,1) block K and inexpensive approximations to the Schur complement matrix S may not always produce the most spectacular time savings when K is explicitly available, but is able to deliver reasonably good results on a consistent basis. In addition, the block diagonal preconditioner with a negative (2,2) block appears to be reasonably competitive when compared to the more complicated ones. These observation are expected to remain valid for coefficient matrices whereby the (1,1) block is sparse, diagonally significant (a notion weaker than diagonal dominance), moderately well‐conditioned, and has a much larger block size than the (2,2) block. In this paper, derivation and computed formulas are provided for the shear lag coefficient in a simply supported prestressed concrete box girder under dead load. In the case of prestressed tendons having parabolic configurations, formulas to compute the shear lag effect are also developed. The magnitude of upward loading intensity caused by prestress as well as the relationship between the height of the box girder and the sag of prestressed tendons have been fully treated. Conclusions are drawn that the shear lag effect caused by dead load and prestress force is equivalent to dead load acting alone, provided that the prestressed tendon is set up with a parabolic profile. Shear lag effect caused by movable load is also analyzed according to the eccentricity of the load to the half-width ratio of the box girder. Charts were prepared to predict the shear lag coefficient for live load. Finally, having considered the shear deformation of flanges, the deflection of box girders is studied for both uniformly distributed load and concentrated load. Examples are given for illustrative purpose.  相似文献

Generalized Jacobi (GJ) diagonal preconditioner coupled with symmetric quasi-minimal residual (SQMR) method has been demonstrated to be efficient for solving the 2 × 2 block linear system of equations arising from discretized Biot’s consolidation equations. However, one may further improve the performance by employing a more sophisticated non-diagonal preconditioner. This paper proposes to employ a block constrained preconditioner Pc that uses the same 2 × 2 block matrix but its (1, 1) block is replaced by a diagonal approximation. Numerical results on a series of 3-D footing problems show that the SQMR method preconditioned by Pc is about 55% more efficient time-wise than the counterpart preconditioned by GJ when the problem size increases to about 180,000 degrees of freedom. Over the range of problem sizes studied, the Pc-preconditioned SQMR method incurs about 20% more memory than the GJ-preconditioned counterpart. The paper also addresses crucial computational and storage issues in constructing and storing Pc efficiently to achieve superior performance over GJ on the commonly available PC platforms.  相似文献

In the real world, centralized tracking in a largescale wireless sensor network (WSN) may not be feasible due to the possible failure of fusion centre and the large communication delay in forwarding measurement data to the fusion centre. Distributed target tracking techniques can be employed by tasking sensor nodes near to the target to perform sensing, target state estimation and selection of future tasking sensor nodes. In this paper, the development and implementation of a prototype ultrasonic WSN testbed to demonstrate distributed target tracking using the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) algorithm is described. In the testbed, a mobile robot is used to simulate the moving target, and static/mobile sensor nodes are deployed to detect and track the target. The sensor nodes and robots are equipped with sonar and MICAZ to receive and process instructions. Experimental evaluation of a number of sensor scheduling schemes are reported which shows the superior tracking performance of our distributed competition based sensor scheduling scheme.  相似文献

Recent discoveries of stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in weldments including penetration nozzles at pressurized water reactors (PWRs) and boiling water reactors (BWRs) have raised concerns about safety and integrity of plant components. It is well known that welding residual stress is an important factor resulting in SCC in weldments. In the present work, both experimental method and numerical simulation technology are used to investigate the characteristics of welding residual stress distribution in penetration nozzles welded by multi-pass J-groove joint. An experimental mock-up is fabricated to measure welding residual stress at first. In the experiment, each weld pass is performed using a semi-circle balanced welding procedure. Then, a corresponding finite element models with considering moving heat source, deposition sequence, inter-pass temperature, temperature-dependent thermal and mechanical properties, strain hardening and annealing effect is developed to simulate welding temperature and residual stress fields. The simulation results predicted by the 3D model are generally in good agreement with the measurements. Meanwhile, to clarify the influence of deposition sequence on the welding residual stress, the welding residual stress field in the same geometrical model induced by a continuous welding procedure is also calculated. Finally, the influence of a joint oblique angle on welding residual stress is investigated numerically. The numerical results suggest that both deposition sequence and oblique angles have effect on welding residual stress distribution.  相似文献

Rhenium disulfide (ReS2) differs fundamentally from other group‐VI transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) due to its low structural symmetry, which results in its optical and electrical anisotropy. Although vertical growth is observed in some TMDs under special growth conditions, vertical growth in ReS2 is very different in that it is highly spontaneous and substrate‐independent. In this study, the mechanism that underpins the thermodynamically favorable vertical growth mode of ReS2 is uncovered. It is found that the governing mechanism for ReS2 growth involves two distinct stages. In the first stage, ReS2 grows parallel to the growth substrate, consistent with conventional TMD growth. However, subsequent vertical growth is nucleated at points on the lattice where Re atoms are “pinched” together. At such sites, an additional Re atom binds with the cluster of pinched Re atoms, leaving an under‐coordinated S atom protruding out of the ReS2 plane. This under‐coordinated S is “reactive” and binds to free Re and S atoms, initiating growth in a direction perpendicular to the ReS2 surface. The utility of such vertical ReS2 arrays in applications where high surface‐to‐volume ratio and electric‐field enhancement are essential, such as surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, field emission, and solar‐based disinfection of bacteria, is demonstrated.  相似文献

This paper describes a prototype CASE tool which has been implemented to support the selection of software applications. It is argued that information structures are invariably linked to the operation of the enterprise and can, therefore, be used as a powerful basis both for the suitability assessment and selection of candidate software applications. A structured methodology for the modelling of the enterprise operation and development of information requirements is first outlined to establish the application domain of the CASE tool. The functionality of the CASE tool is subsequently described, showing how aspects of the enterprise are captured in terms of organization, functionality, resource and information. It will be demonstrated how the information structures, captured by the CASE tool, are subsequently developed into a schema and used for the evaluation of a suitable software application.  相似文献

The voltage variation in a remote system is large when the system is connected by long‐distance AC cables due to the cable capacitance. In Japan, the longest 54‐km 66‐kV AC submarine cable interconnection between the Kyushu mainland and Goto Islands was commissioned in 2005. It was requested to mitigate the voltage variation caused by switching off and on one circuit of the two circuits in the AC cables when a fault occurs. Since the conventional voltage control methods such as transformer tap changer or shunt capacitor and reactor banks are not sufficient because of their slow response time, a static var compensator (SVC) was installed on the Goto Islands. In such an application, an SVC control method should be developed so as not to override the existing voltage control systems. This paper describes the SVC control method developed for the Goto Islands AC interconnection project, which can be applied to similar situations. The effectiveness of the control method was verified by the results of effective value simulation and of field testing, which was implemented before the SVC was commissioned in 2007. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
